Deviantart is okay since you can follow a person, search, and watch groups to easily find new people. Twitter on the other hand is a pain to search, forces you to edit the image urls to save the fulres versions and banned my account I was using to follow people as a bot after 2 days. Not to mention the accounts that force you to wade through dozens of diary entries to get to the images.

However there's a problem that some Japanese artists won't update their deviant's frequently, meanwhile they just hide their twitter from the public, requiring permission to follow. As of now, the two choices lead to nothing. You would do well to focus more on your basics. Your coloring and all that is fine, but it's built on a foundation that isn't too stellar. Try practicing your construction methods and sketching a little more. Dig up some references, both real life and from your favorite artists. Try to learn what they borrow from reality, from each other, and what they just plain fudge things on.

Also, that lineart looks like it's vector-based. That can be a pain to work with; try some ordinary raster lineart now and then - getting it to look smooth will be good practice for other things anyway. As you mentioned, line weights will also help, especially with places where joints come together and bend, like the elbows or the backs of the knees. Speaking of knees, don't emphasize the kneecaps so much, it makes them look chunky and awkward.

Consider drawing at a slightly higher resolution, too.

You have potential, anon, but you should probably spend a much higher percentage of your practice time getting the bare-bones basics as perfect as you can. It'll look that much better when you eventually circle back around to lineart, coloring, and so on.

Drawfriend, if you're reading this, lemme tell you a story that might help.

My roommate is an artist and is going to a very prestigious art school. He quickly learned that it got it's prestige by grinding you with a spiked club in the butt until you either quit, failed, or churned out god-tier artwork.

He makes Cs, and is proud of them, and makes mistakes, and has to redo stuff, and has things he can't escape but needs to, like never drawing armored characters without helmets (chickening out of drawing faces).

But he recently got a real Soviet vet professor who made him go so far into the basics it's not even funny. He spent an entire semester drawing skeletons. His professor didn't like his speed and almost failed him until he understood what he was doing wrong.

The midterm? Skeleton. Classwork? Skeleton. Final exam? Two skeletons.

It'll be a cold day in hell if he fucks up bone structure in his art if he keeps up his practice now.

All the Japanese artists I follow who put up sketches I follow because their foundation is phenomenal. That's all you have with sketches, you gotta wow em with your basic drawing skills.

Please don't neglect the basics, before you wind up like all the deviantart peeps who wanna be Karbo but can't since they didn't master the basics before they learned professional coloring.
