Yes. Doubly so if you haven't experienced "real" VR before, so you won't have something technologically superior to compare it to.
One way or another I don't think it's an enormous investment so I say you might as well buy one. I'm very satisfied with mine, it can be absolutely immersive with good tight headphones and a darkened room, but I'm pretty easily pleasable.
