Any status on that lesbian gloves story?

Are most of us familiar with Morpheus' Twisted series? I've decided that I want to write an installment. I messaged him and got permission, but I'm not quite sure what I want it to be specifically.

If you're not familiar, there's this hereditary thing where in your teens you "twist," essentially turning into a different person (the degree of the change varies randomly) based on whatever you were thinking about at the time of the twist. They always remain humanoid but it can get weird, one character turned into a mermaid and another secondary character turned into a lizard person. People who twist almost always gain personality compulsions and "tricks" (basically shitty versions of superpowers, no one can do anything game changing).

Anyways, I post this on here to ask what feminine archetypes would be interesting to write about someone twisting into? A couple of ideas I've had are

>protagonist tries to force his twist to make him a great football player, instead gets distracted by cheerleaders, turns into a cute gymnast / cheerleader
>protagonist has intimate moment with close male friend, the topic somehow gets to how his friend doesnt think he can get a gf or whatever. protagonist twists into his perfect girl-next-door, and though they are disgusted and resistant at first, they come to realize they have to be together

That's really all I've thought of. Any suggestions appreciated.

VN anon here from the previous thread. I have some good news.

Although I wasn't able to get my hands on a copy of X-Change Alternative EX like I was hoping to, I was able to find a copy of Futari wa My Angel, which is another Crowd VN I've been hoping would get translated some day.

After a few days tinkering with it, I got a good enough understanding of how the engine works to write a small program that decrypts/encrypts the resource files.

I've since been able to extract the script, edit it, and pack it back into the game (pic related). There's still a few niggling issues to iron out, but from a technical standpoint we are set to make a fan translation of this game.

So /d/ - if I was able to extract the whole script into an easily accessible format, would some kind anons here be able to translate it? I can then put it back into the game and make a release.

Being able to dump the script and then hack it into the game is always the "piece de resistance" for these projects.

If you are able to do that it's just a matter of time someone works on it (let's just hope it's someone who actually knows moon).

One I have always found interesting but nobody knew how to deal with it (as it is a Nitendo DS game) is the Idolm@ster DS game (which does not feature TG but does feature a trap, so close enough) as it is rare for games that can be played on the go to have TG (or close enough) elements in them, barring some notable exception like Darkstalker's Midnight Bliss move (with Darkstalkers eventually getting a PSP port).

As promised, here is the complete script for Futari wa My Angel:

All I need for you guys to do is fill in the translation for each line like I've shown in the picture. That file is carefully formatted so my toolset can parse and compile it, so please keep it in that structure.

I reckon we should focus on getting the first chapter done properly, so we can iron out any bugs in the process. For reference, Chapter 2 starts on line 1812 (UID 16713748).

A few things to note:

I've assigned a unique id to each line so I know where it goes back into the game file (that's the number at the start of each line). Please don't mess with these, or any of the command codes (i.e. anything that isn't moon).

Speaking of which, the command codes can give you an idea of when scene changes happen without you needing the game (BGxxx means change background CG, MKouM101u is a character image, etc).

Most importantly though, I'm using semicolon delimiters to parse this file, so don't remove any semicolons you find or I won't be able to recompile it. Also note that this means you cannot use semicolons in your translated text.

Another thing. I haven't yet found a way to change the number of 'scenes', as in, we cannot add in new lines. This is one of the niggles I mentioned earlier, hopefully I can find a solution. But in the meantime, we may need to get creative with editing.

You could mess around with machine translation since you have the raw text. There seem to be lots of guides out their about refining MT with VNs. I wish I knew where they hang out but eroge fan translation teams seem numerous. Maybe message a couple of mods in these communities about where to take your hack, you've done half the work by cracking it.

I bought it and the TL quality was rock solid, that first page was the only typo and it was corrected quickly after it went up.

Honestly going on Fakku is the best thing that could've happened for F_TSF. Now it's easy to buy his doujins (so pirates really have no excuse) and the TL and image quality have gone up from "total trash" to "pretty good". He doesn't have to use services he's unfamiliar with or interact with fans to try and get his stuff out either since Fakku takes care of stuff on their end for him. I have read a handful of the series as well, and I dont think I have read any involving twins. Either have them be twins to start with and they either shift into different forms (so now they are no longer twins after the twist), or they both twist but remain twins (say they were looking at the same porn site or whatever together, and while both thinking about it, twist). Then you have the two of them coping/dealing with each other as well as their new genders.

Alternatively you could have two separate unrelated people seeing the same stimulus (best friends perhaps) and they become twins only AFTER the twist. There is one similar to this which I read where the son becomes a copy of the mom due to her blood, but this would be more two non-blood related people becoming identical twins.

In either case is use twins, likely want to have them each have some different but very similar twists.

And actually one other idea that could be extremely interesting, and be great for coming up with worthwhile conflicts/interactions. Is if a bully and the kid being bullied see the same stimulus and shift into twins. Then throw in some kind of mental aspects (common belief of twins feeling each other kind of idea), where they are enemies to start with but since they then have some kind of "twin connection," they become close and possibly think of themselves as actual twins. It would be easiest if one or both of them got a twist that involved like some sort of psy ability, such as telepathy as an easy way to explain the connection. It would likely be easiest/most obvious to work out if the bully isnt a bad kid but his circumstances really suck at home and he (unfairly) takes it out at school and bullies people since he cant do anything about his home life, and wants some semblance of control over his life since he has none at home. Its just aimed in bad direction.

Here's my DMM library. I usually buy works if I saw them on e-hentai and liked them, but mostly I just lurk the gender bender tag on DMM. I can't read Japanese, but artists won't produce works if they don't sell.

Fakku putting out officially translated gender bender works with good TL and typesetting means that I don't have to pray that someone actually picks up work and does a decent job, because someone's actually doing that.

Pretty much every single time I've posted about our past I have pointed out that we were part of the problem, FAKKU was a huge reason scanlations and piracy became the norm and people didn't think hentai was something you paid for. This is something I apologize for profusely every time I go to meet with artists and publishers in Japan.

On a different subject, when artists come here to talk with you don't just immediately hate on them. I know sometimes they are dicks or don't fully understand that we're just fans and not trying to hurt them, but when they come here and see people sharing their pirated work they panic. That's understandable. In most cases to the artists and circles in Japan this is their livelihood. They don't see you as a potential fan, they just see you as a pirate that is taking money from them. I am working to change that and explain things, but it's a slow slow process.
