Re-posting this from the last thread. I'm doing a fetish survey of for our /d/-game threads. It's not completely inclusive, but it does cover a wide breadth. I figure it could help all the game devs out there see a bit more of what everyone is into.

Kinda, but there isn't a general consensus on what dickgirls constitutes other than a girl with a dick, it is very often a mirror term of shemale due to cuntboy being a thing that exists. Futanari fans are at least zealous with their terminology. Perhaps instead hermaphrodite as the english equivalent would've been better alongside futanari. There isn't a magical pixel art library you can utilize anon, your only choices are RPGmaker and it being a shitty RPG with terrible scene illustration as it's two stills of vanilla character sprites or Twine and having a acceptable textual presentation but needing to create your own combat code, unless you steal it from elsewhere. There are advantages to both but if you want accessibility, Twine and purely text is the way to go. Just remember it doesn't have to be massive, even if it's tiny as shit just make 2-3 games and work your way up in scale. I wasn't exactly planning on making it multiplayer, at least not in the typical sense. I was mostly looking at the web as a platform because it's by far the best distribution model and it's what I do professionally. But out of curiosity, what sorts of issues were those other projects running into exactly?

I only really got to play it's short demo, but it seemed like some sort of hub-roleplay game and was trying the whole 'appeal to everygender' approach, but it also had bad-ends too so it felt somewhat half-assed because your character is temporal, so it feels really pointless it's not just a single-player game instead of something you have to personally log into. Really though, LEWD is so irrelevant that it's outright ignored here. I'd say the more successful approach to erotic-ish multiplayer game was the transformation one where you transform other players into objects and junk, it was incredibly focused into what it was delivering. At least before people started 'unofficial rules' and teaming up. Otherwise, there has been some good ideas in the thread for how multiplayer games could be handled like indirect interactions of players seeing the transformed remains of others instead of direct communication.

It fixes the arousal bug and some spelling errors, and a bug where hit/grab chances were being calculated wrong (lower than they should be). Also, strike now has a chance of stunning your opponent for one round rather than doing damage, so you'll actually have to get your tentacle rape on, and arousal gain has been tweaked so you won't still be at half mast when your opponent gives up.

While I like traps, I disagree, they seem to be represented just exactly in the ratio you'd expect though not necessarily with you playing as the trap, which is where most complaints seem to be coming from.

Barring Magical Camp there seems to be no game currently in development focusing on that from the player perspective.
Yes, Trap Quest exists but its focus is not on making a compelling trap game but a compelling /d/ roguelike with a variety of fetishes cramped (focuses more on bimbo behaviour)

Personally I would love to see more people add in high heels/ballet heels/pony boots as an element into their games.

So far it seems only Trap Quest managed to do that somewhat decently (barring mods on Skyrim) where at the beginning you suck walking in very high heels but by the end your feet have gotten so used to it you stumble if you don't wear at least 4 inch high heels because your feet have "memorized" that position.

To be fair, you need to set up a lot of elements to make a trap game work.

Even if you were to copy a professional game (which is what Slave Maker and Jack-O-Nines were doing in copying the Princess Maker formula) and do something like a lewd version of Idolm@ster games and raising up a girly guy to be a pop star (or play said potential pop star, both have been done) you'd need to code events, stats, NPCs, progression and ideally some crude art (pixel or otherwise) just to make a worthwhile alpha.

Don't get me wrong, I'd play the hell out of such a game but I can see why devs find it easier/more manageable to just start a dom-focused game as you can keep the scope as small as you want (Friend Trainer over at TFGamessite being such an example, trying to make a FC-style game but focused on a single character for you to manage).

And barring people translating Japanese games (of which there are a dime a dozen dom and sub games) a dev is probably going to just focus on doing dom-oriented games as they aare less challenging to program.

However, it becomes fairly irrelevant once you have enough tentacles because immobilizing all their limbs is functionally the same thing. Furthermore, thanks to the attack/defense rework, Grabbing becomes extremely effective once you've boosted your attack a few times, so you can reliably just set 4 of your tentacles to Grab her limbs at the start of battle and have her completely immobilized by turn 2. The rest can be used to Grab and Strip clothing if you want to drag it out; if you want an easy win though, you just Insert all your inseminators into her mouth, then send them all Deeper. This is a good thing, I am not complaining about how easy it is.

I believe that this is about as hard as it should be in the very beginning, but it should become substantially harder the further along you are in the game.

Quick actions would also be nice, as, after a certain point you would expect a very long tentacle to be able to say grab and strip rags in one action. Or, just make the grab clothing action an attempt to strip it at the same time. Might succeed at grabbing but fail stripping making stripping an option next turn.
