I'll admit the added subpar content wasn't good by most standards, but added content in general is NOT censorship, and it is not necessarily bad localization. In fact, the subpar CGs make for an EXTREMELY small portion of all the CGs in shrink high, iirc like 5-6 out of 240+ CGs, that's not even 3%, so even if they WERE bad, they're still a tiny, TINY portion of the overall content, its all in the rather late game in a difficult side area to access iirc, and its still added content.
Beyond the subpar CGs, I have yet to see a legitimate argument for the original japanese being better, beyond the ebin "REEE FANFICS!!!111" meme which clearly doesn't count if you can't bring up any goddamn examples.
As for Dsojourn's handling of it, I'm not going to justify or attack it. I don't claim to know his mind, but assuming his motives is quite the thing to do. Not everyone knows how to use da 4chinz, so a website isn't a terrible idea for people to get centralized info about this, ESPECIALLY if an entire archive goes down a la Loveisover, and GTSCity can change at any time if the mods are cancerous enough; you never know what'll happen over there.
You can claim to argue against the game out of principle, but the issue is that you're doing it in a vacuum. He's made much MUCH content fappable to us for no cost, and I doubt that this was where he was going to get his shekels from. He's not Nintendo, he's just a dude helping out the size community, possibly for not-the-best reasons, but we don't KNOW that, and I'll assume he's acting out of good faith for what he HAS provided us.

The CGs were the only valid thing I saw in that argument, Dsojourn chose to translate this. He's not Nintendo, he doesn't have any audiences or obligations to do this, he chose to, just like he's chosen to translate a lot of other content for us. He's one person; he doesn't have the resources that Nintendo or an evil gaming corp has to ruin games. Its a fan translation, and you can blame the community for a truer alternative not existing because Dsojourn isn't a monolith preventing other fan-translations from existing, and he's not the official source either, he's just the only one who bothered to put in enough goddamn effort to translate the thing in the first place, and until someone can show me some clear evidence beyond the CGs, which I consider minor enough to forgive, that Dsojourn 'butchered' the game's dialogue

As for the game not being improved, I'm still waiting on some evidence. If you can speak Japanese, show some substantial part of the script that was clearly made worse by Dsojourn's translation, and I'll believe you.
As it stands, there is no evidence to the contrary beyond your word, and you saying its not shit without his translation doesn't really tell me anything.
If I come across as a devout fanboy, I could care less. I'm going to wait till I see evidence of the script being fucked up before I cast any judgment on him and say Dsojourn's methods and motives were X instead of Y.
Good on you for supposedly knowing Japanese, but that doesn't do anything for the rest of us unless you show some proof, which you could very well AND show Dsojourn as actually making the script worse. All it would take is a screenshot comparing the two, but I've yet to see one.

As for accurate translation... that's good, I suppose. Seems like a lot more official of an affair than SH ever was though. Can you honestly say that, besides a few lame memes and 5 or 6 shitty CGs, that Shrink High was made worse by Dsojourn's localization? And I'm not looking for an ebin "Fanfic doe" response; did any characters experience true drops in quality in their writing? And the changes, were they inappropriate given the scope of the game? Localization is not always a bad thing, but it CAN be a bad thing. From what I've heard, Dsojourn's localization improved the game as a whole, barring minor areas, is there concrete evidence to the contrary? No, I'm not looking for anything on Dsojourn's own character or personality, I want to know the facts- were Dsojourn's characters more fleshed out, and higher quality, than the original base characters? I'm not referring to pure character changes, but rather the quality there of.

In addition to giving her random weird backstory they also made her tsundere towards the main character.....just because I guess. To be honest I'm not sure how to consider all this, doesn't seem like its a strong case for either side because having a backstory, while artificially created and pointless, does create some interesting implications and can change the player's thoughts towards the character, and it does feel nice knowing SOMETHING about the antagonists lol, but at the same time, I see what you mean. Perhaps the original creators wanted you to feel less sympathy for her, and she was just a slightly tsundere, mostly murderous bitch, as opposed to Dsojourn's Pretty Darn Tsundere, mostly murderous bitch with a backstory.

V-D's main change was he made her have a random crush on Chijinda for some reason and they kept selling that. I guess since he added random backstory collectibles he liked her design and wanted to flesh her out himself.

Narue was kept very much the same. Chijinda's personality was kept the same they just had him say WAY more than he was supposed to alot.

Like someone else said, if you don't understand or speak Japanese at all and you were waiting on an English translation before you played you're mostly not going to care about any changes except for the shitty CG maybe.

Went ahead and made an update to my story since I was finding it difficult to enjoy for myself in light of recent, valid criticism.

A grammatical overhaul resulted in a pair of glaring typos being corrected, several lines being tweaked for easier reading, and, quite literally, a 99% reduction of the phrase "red haired".

But that's not all. Since my depravity knows no bounds, I have unleashed an unspeakable evil in the form of an alternate XXX rated version for those that believe themselves to be bad enough dudes.

New and exciting features include: 4 extensive scenarios, clocking in at over 1000 additional words. That's a 30% increase for the low, low price of whatever was left of my dignity. Also, a previous scenario was completely reworked from the ground up to establish a clearer atmosphere.

The amount of updates so far can be counted on one hand, and they're pretty sproadic (contrast Size Matters, which has a (flexible) schedule of one update every 2 weeks now that Uru's donation goal has been reached).
