Just watched Twin Suns for the first time, what a perfect episode.

That kurosawa as fuck final duel was top fucking notch, the dialogue was great, the music was used very powerfully, and the entire episode is full of beautiful shots.

Rebels has its ups and downs, but the cinematography of the show has been consistently rising in quality, and part of me is sad that we're only getting one more season, but it's better for a show to have closure than for it to drag on and on.

On to Zero Hour now.

These characters are important heroes of the rebellion, with fantastic adventures and help to free the galaxy, but they are their own story. They're not THOSE heroes. I just finished Phasma. I don't know if it's because I hated the character before reading it but it felt like a slog. I think the big issue is that you have to be meta about it for that to make any sense from a story perspective at this stage. Ezra can't beat Vader. The audience knows this, but Ezra doesn't. This is because Vader needs to be beat by someone with the same skill and experience level he currently has, but it's not him, for reasons Ezra doesn't know and is told by someone he's never met. Obi-Wan didn't even say he had any real plan, he basically just told Ezra to fuck off.

Yes, there's more shit for Ezra to do besides fight Vader like that. There's a whole rebellion to deal with. But the problem is that fucking everyone is giving him the Obi-Wan spiel where it's apparently not time to fight and it'll all just slot into place at an unspecified point in the future.
