Face it, CN as a whole is dying. The daytime is just TTG, Gumball and OK KO for 14 hours straight and AS is just McFarlane's crap and the same reruns of robot chicken we've all seen a million times. Between that and their overuse of bomb scheduling, CN offers almost nothing new or interesting to tv anymore. All cable networks are suffering because of the streams but most of them try to keep relevant by experimenting with new shows and keeping their blocks interesting. AS used to air anime on weeknights after about midnight or so after ATHf and the usual Family Guy reruns. I remember staying up late to watch Red Jacket Lupin, YuYu Hakusho GitS, Paranoia agent, Big O and others well past my bedtime. If the block does die, I at least hope we get that back.

Most have homes, jobs, families and have given up a lot of the hobbies they had years ago, including anime. I've heard people very split on rather Shokugeki no Soma/Food Wars would do well on Toonami or not.

I've only read the first volume of the manga, but I don't see why it wouldn't. It's an above average, actually reasonable length Shonen Jump title with a brand new dub. It's got the ecchi tag but it's tamer than Kill la Kill.

I wish Dragonball Super was cut from the block entirely with Toei forcing the early premiere. It should get shoved it onto Cartoon Network or something. It's easy enough to edit down to a TV-PG rating and appeals more to younger audiences anyway.

Hell, I really wish CN had some kind of Toonami-ish block to show stuff that doesn't fit adultswim or has already had its hey day online. I'm betting a lot of CN's viewership doesn't regularly watch or keep track of anime online, and putting on some shows mixed with some more recent titles like Steven Universe and OK KO would do well I think. That's what daytime toonami was back in the day.
