He did, it's called Legend of Wonder Woman and it was illustrated by Trina Robbins, first woman to ever draw Wonder Woman. It was written as a fill in between Crisis and Perez so they wouldn't lose the rights.

>X-Ray Specs consist of an outsized pair of glasses with plastic frames and white cardboard "lenses" printed with concentric red circles, and emblazoned with the legend "X-RAY VISION".

>The "lenses" consist of two layers of cardboard with a small hole about 6 millimetres (0.24 in) in diameter punched through both layers. The user views objects through the holes. A feather is embedded between the layers of each lens. The vanes of the feathers are so close together that light is diffracted, causing the user to receive two slightly offset images. For instance, if viewing a pencil, one would see two offset images of the pencil. Where the images overlap, a darker image is obtained, supposedly giving the illusion that one is seeing the graphite embedded within the body of the pencil. As may be imagined, the illusion is not particularly convincing.

And sea monkeys were shrimp.

>>
>>94678297
Pretty sure Johns wanted a Reverse Flash family that consisted of Thawne, Zolomon, and a new character called Mara Thawne as a token girl opposite of Jesse Quick. A reverse speedforce probably would've followed since Johns likes duplicates. Lanterns, Shazam kids, etc.
>>
>>94677850
>I hope a series of those happens eventually
I at least want him to get to Flash and GL, Flash really needs some great standalone stories to recommend
>>
>>94678339
>implying Flash wasn't ruined when Waid introduced the speed force
Speed Force is to Flash what Johns colored corps is to GL. Interesting concepts that destroyed the potential of good storytelling in their respective books.

Reverse Speed Corp War was the first Legion of Three Worlds team up too

I can see not liking the story but there's a ridiculous degree of willful misrepresentation going on and it's pretty wearying. I know some people who noped out and blocked all mention of it, which is the good thing to do.

I can say that I'm going to have less than zero interest in these people's Platonic Cap story, which is basically "punches Nazis and is Good"

Now just hold the fuck up a second. Fontana Wondy knows what it is, and it's comfortable with that. Metal is trying desperately to have its cake and eat it.

Tone is very important to a story. You can have your epic game changing consequences, or you can have a Justice League Megazord. Not both. Pick one and stick to it. And don't you dare try to say it's a dramedy, because fuck you, no it isn't.

Right, the panelling works wonders in two direct instances. Gerad is also on on mark to the point where the dialogue boxes get in the way.

Absolutely. I feel like Diana would make Nazis ashamed of their words and deeds. That's the benefit of a fantasy item like the lasso; it can do things that we wish we could do in real life.

You know, I'm not looking forward to "kill/punch Nazi" trend we're gonna be seeing, but if there's one person I'd like to see tackle it, it's King.

Everyone keeps sharing that Kirby quote about him saying he punched Nazis but there's actually a much better one where he says in the war, he tried speaking to the enemies, telling them they didn't really believe in this crap, that they were just throwing their lives away, but they all said "No, we really believe it!" because they were fully indoctrinated. I think there could be an interesting story there and King's experience with war stories would lend itself well to that kind of thing.

>Creators seem to believe critics are either supposed to be boosters or technical theorists rather than writers who above all else seek to understand a work and their own reactions to it.

I agree that this is a misunderstanding of the critic, but I'd go on to say that critics misconstrue their roles as "people who inform creators about their especially moral failings and can expect conformity to said critique". "You didn't listen" actually means "You didn't comply" most of the time.

His wife was a refugee from a totalitarian future raised in the body of a stillborn, and then got to come back to life after Barry's arch enemy (FROM THE FUTURE) murdered her, because she was from the Future.

Barry Allen was able to vibrate himself into the actual real world DC Comics offices to accost Julie Schwartz and Carmine Infantino.

>>94680075
Can't disagree with that either desu

>>94680058
Basically anything. All self-contained stories. Just pick one at random and you'll have a good time.

The Hangman is 100% perfect rat rod goodness.

>>94679159
You sir, have good taste.
>>

It would be something along the lines of, "This is what would happen if Trump got elected but thank God we elected Hillary!!
>>
>>94680093
Are you cranky or Kingautist? Don't know if they're different people honestly.
>>
>>94680075
>SO SPAMMY
You mean shitpost-y. If she's not talking about something actually relevant, she's tweeting about how smooth sharks are, Arrow, or how terrible Cyclops is, even though as anon rightly pointed out, she would get incredibly butthurt if someone shit-talked Diana or Dinah.

The only "Kingautist" here is (You).
>>
>>94680075
she posts a million times a day and it's annoying

plus life is too short to listen to people shit on Hal Jordan
>>
>>94680133
I think that would've gotten the same reaction it got in our world.
>>
Oh fuck, I was out of the loop today about current events. NOW everyone's comments in this thread make sense.
I should pay closer attention to US news more. I thought everything was in context to the events of the last few days, not something new today.
>>
>>94680126
Not op but she's really shits up the timeline with countless retweets and shit.
>>
>>94680130
I'm not too proud to admit I'm totally there for Ruth x Amber.
>>
>>94680149
Well at least we now know cranky and Kingautist are different people.

>>94680130
TY OP
>>
>>94680130
thanks OP, this is some fascinating stuff that I probably wouldn't have read on my own
>>
>>94680187
Fuck off, idiot. If you can only communicate via memes and ad hominem you don't belong in a site for adults.
>>
>>94680130
Thanks for the storytime.
>>
>>94680187
We've also learned that Cranky is an adamant wondy-fan
>>
>>94680212
Fuck off phoneposter

Yeah as expected this is amazing. Makes me want to finally read Destroyer Duck.

This, I come on this anonymous board for mature discussions between adults about American funnybooks. There's no room for shitposting here and if somebody shitpost here they should be banned.
>>
>>94680130
Thanks for posting as always, Storyteller.

Gotta say, Omega is fairly interesting so far. Guessing the plot is heading towards a Shazam kind of thing.

>>94680123
We are different people. I have no opinion whatsoever of Tom King.
>>
>>94680075
I can never keep up with her tweets plus once she finds a new way to shitpost, she beats it to fucking death.
>>

>Hell's Kitchen's no place to make your rep as a superhero

Well, shit, someone tell Daredevil that. And Netflix while they're at it.
>>
>>94680153
Why you gotta hate on Hal Gail :(
>>
>>94680308
And Gerber actually LIVED in Hell's Kitchen at the time, along with most of the Marvel folks because it was years before royalties- excuse me, "incentives" were implemented.

>>94680340
She doesn't like characters that are nothing more than sex objects :^)
>>
>>94680226
Did it it really take you this long to realize?

... I mean, I ain't exactly subtle about it.
>>
>>94680130
Thanks again OP
>>
>>94680159
there's something new like every 3 hours at this point and I only find out via osmosis, it's insane
>>
>>94680375
Cranky, were you secretly Saxet Anon?

>>94680395
I miss not keeping up with the news.
>>
>>94680375
Cranky, you gotta start taking Diana's lessons to heart, being pissed off all the time is not good for you.
>>
>>94680363
Not Hal's fault that Huntress, Black Canary, and Lady Blackhawk couldn't say no to dat booty.
>>
>>94680421
Kingautist if you are reading this, you should do this as well. But only if you like Diana otherwise you can go fuck yourself.
>>
>>94680340
She doesn't go out of her way to shit on him constantly like Cyclops but I have a zero tolerance policy
>>
>>94680421
one time he was chill in a Vixen thread
>>
BTW, not to advertise my own shit, but I'll be continuing Roy Thomas Wondie tomorrow afternoon
>>
>>94680405
>Cranky, were you secretly Saxet Anon?
No. I sure as hell wouldn't have storytimed Byrne's run. Fuck that shit.

>>94680421
I know, I get mad way too easily. Pretty much all my life I've had a short temper and nothing of value to say.
>>
>>94680533
Might be a bit late due to having an interview but I can't wait, some of the best discussions happen in your threads.
>>
>>94680619
Don't sell yourself short man, you can do it.
>>
>>94680533
>>94680533
Oh yeah, Thanks for continuing that Hellblazer thread the other day. I ended up storytiming a few issues after the opening arc, then Ulti-mate continued. I think he's been MIA since the second thread, but overdosing on Hellblazer would do that to you.
I think I'll run All His Engines sometime this week.
>>
>>94679341
The comic literally has her appropriating Puerto Rican culture, how the fuck can they not see that?!
>>
>>94680706
she's brown and the writer is Latinx so that makes it okay!
>>
>>94680533
Sweet. The Bronze Age stuff has been great so far. Can't wait to get to Osira.

>>94680530
That was because I realized I was being a hypocrite. I hate when people talk shit about characters I like while clearly not knowing anything about them. Y-yeah. Yeah.
>>
>>94680768
>I hate when people talk shit about characters I like while clearly not knowing anything about them
It happens far too often.
>>
>>94680159
Now that auto-saged Jesse Custer thread makes sense.

Petra Goldberg is on colors, Wolfman is the editor

they flipped the titles between Illustrated by and Letterer for some reason

I mean, Doxing people is pretty much the internet equivalent to a war crime, Neo-Nazis or not.
>>
>>94682245

telling people someone was at a public rally/event isn't doxxing.

there is a reason wearing hoods is a popular move for them
>>
>>94682245
It's a war you faggot, stop being so PC.
>>
>>94678388
I've been saying this for years
best taste anon
Messner-Loebs and Marz are the peaks of those respective franchises, last time either had real heart or a sense of storytelling
>>
>>94683195
Anon here, I agree but I also like Johns' earlieworks where it wasn't full corps orgy. The Green Lantern run up until Sinestro Corps War was really good.
>>
>>94678823
Come on man, make like Captain America. Punch Nazis, Communists, Monarchists, Globalist Anarchists, Venture Capitalists, Nihilists, post-modernists and absurdists

There's an entire political, economic and philosophical spectrum out there to imagine yourself DECKING the fuck out of.

Like Pokemon, but with more punching. Gotta smack 'em all.

>>94678018
