You know what would be fucking awesome, though? If in the brief sabbatical where TEAM MEGATRON was stuck on the Necroworld, they finally catch up with the Lost Light...and it's back on Cybertron, because Getaway already found the Knights and brought them home.

It would be a beautiful "fuck you" to a group of characters who have worn out their welcome and become grating to read about

I know, it would be anticlimactic from a narrative perspective, but for me, I'd find it cathartic in a way. So much time wasted by (and on) Megatron, Rodimus and their merry band of putzes, and then they find that, as soon as they were out of the picture, the mission actually succeeded in a very rapid span of time.

Getaway would be lauded as a hero, and Rodimus would be completely impotent to do anything against him to retaliate or save face

What expectations do we have for the Knights, anyway? My headcanon for a while:

>The Thirteen begin to populate Cybertron after their nature
>War in Heaven ends the guidance of the Hand
>Thirteen raise Cybertron to a Golden Age from the chaos of the war of the gods
>Having brought peace and prosperity to the planet, they leave Cybertron, but each appoint a successor to reign in their name, wielding an artefact bestowed on them by their patron
>Having left Cybertron to bring harmony, peace and order to the Cosmos, they become known as the Knights of Cybertron
>They did not TRAVEL in the Titans... they WERE the Titans
>Over the many millions of years that follow, their descendants degenerate into the dickholes WE know as 'The Thirteen Primes', mainly because they WERE... just not the originals

- Just build new ones
- Build bodies and upload Transformer mind from either the Matrix, Vector Sigma or a pre-existing mind copy
- Divide, like bacteria
- Infuse proto-form with pre-existing spark
- Produce 'young ones' in some horrible, undefined way
- Let naturally-emerging sparks grow into 'sentio metallicato' bodies, or harvest sparks, freeze them and later infuse them into pre-constructed bodies

That's it. There is no sexual way for them to reproduce.

Well, how do we define the status quo?

The war is over.
Megatron is gone, theoretically for good.
Starscream is the ruler of Cybertron.
Optimus Prime is a peacetime semi-spiritual leader of a tenuous union of worlds.
Bumblebee is dead and apparently for real.
Unicron has never been mentioned or hinted at.

This is uncharted territory.

Maybe a comic or show set in a split transformers society in the aftermath of a definitely-not-deception-related catastrophe. A bunch of different factions (autobots, functionalists, crazy religous fucks, rich bastards, communists) try their own way of sorting shit out to varying levels of conflict while the decepticons go full space nomads who just wanna stir shit, protect their territoriy and have fun.

It could go anywhere from there, humans show up and everyone flips the fuck out trying to deal with them and the subsequent earthaboos, some nutcase faction decides to fuck shit up and go on a conquering spree, somebody throws a rock at the decepticons and autobots have to figure out who did it before the cons go on a revenge roadtrip, lots of stuff. Any of that sound good?
