So sorry for being out of commission for a couple days. I kinda had a little bout of depression but I'm getting over it. Today may or may not be the last Watchmen thread (haven't tallied the number of pages). Picking up with Before Watchmen: Ozymandias and then the Crimson Corsair
Prior threads are here.

WHERE ARE MY PAGES NIGGER?

I ask that you please refrain from posting images during the storytime. I may end up needing those at the end of this thread. ALso all the Ozymandias issues will total at 152 images.
Jae Lee's panel layouts are absolutely phenomenal.
>Firstly, I gave away my inheritance to severl worthy charities--
Bold.
>To demonstrate the possibility of achieving anything, starting from nothing.
Bold.
Adrian had a much harder life than I imagined.
I really liked this first issue. Here's hoping it can keep the momentum.
Before Watchmen is a completely unnecessary series. Have a bump anyways

=D
This story isn't quite grabbing me but this art makes the series worth reading.
>That said, I can completely understand individuals that

>this art makes the series worth reading.
Jae Lee has always been my jam.
>>92775583
I wish DC would put Jae Lee on some more interiors...

Gordium was a major kingdom in the area and encompassed a vital major road. You would know that, Veidt, if you had actually majored in the history of the time of Alexander the Great
I am in absolute awe of the consistency of the use of these vertically positioned circles as a framework for panel layout.
yay
thanks anon bro

thanks
Continuing on with the two part series Before Watchmen: Moloch.
Here, Veidt's attitude towards Dr Manhattan reminds me of the Luthor-Superman dynamic, if Superman gave no shits.
they gave Moloch a series too?
damn
>>92777176
I really like your description of the two.

Provided that tale is true, I wonder if everyone present looked at him like he was the biggest smartass alive.

They gave Dollar Bill his own one shot, which will be the final issue for this thread. Also I apologize for not being the tiniest bit social. My medication has been making me feel mentally foggy and lose my train of thought pretty consistently..
Dollar Bill had a baller suit.
Which Watchmen film do you guys prefer?
1. Theatrical Version is shortest version of the film and still manages to pull off a coherent story (something the BvS theatrical cut didn't do). It's only problem is that it's missing some scenes that flesh out characters.
2. Director's Cut is the more complete version of the film that contains all the live action additional scenes added. Personally I enjoy this one the most but the 3 hour runtime is a definite barrier to casual watching.
3. Ultimate Cut is the Director's Cut plus the addition of all of the tales of the Black Freighter scenes from it's individual release. The scenes are interspliced as close as possible to their original locations in the series. By far one of the most unique comic movies ever but that three and a half hour runtime is fucking daunting.
Thanks for the storytime.
I've never read these before but they were a lot better than i expected them to beExcept for Roscharch.

1.Better than I Remembered
Minutemen
>It gets better with each reading.
Silk Spectre
>You guys gave me an appreciation for it.
Dr. Manhattan
>JMS' handle on the character is spot on and the accompanying art is epic.
Moloch/Dollar Bill
>Unique stories that expand in meaningful ways. Also the art is pretty snazzy.
2. As Good as I Remembered
Comedian>It's time to shit.
Ozymandias
>Decent to good story wtih amazing art.
Nite Owl
>A decent story but a terrible take on the character. Rorschach is a better character in this series than Nite Owl is.
3. Worse than I Remembered
Rorschach
>The writer/artist combo sounds epic on paper, but the execution left much to be desired. The dialog especially needed work.
4. Haven't Read Tier
Crimson Corsair
>>92778944
I've seen only the theatrical version and the separate Black Freighter film.
Didn't like Black Freighter much. Should probably watch the director's cut sometime.
>>92780901
I'd super recommend it. It's not really a leaps and bounds different movie from the theatrical version but I feel like it's a more complete and fulfilling story and ultimately that's all I care about.

Fucking hell Ozy is a cunt. That's some shit parallel to Luthor levels of evil. I hope "Mr Oz" gets death in the worst way with whoever is writing it during rebirth. Slow and painful. He doesn't deserve mercy.
boop
Before this gets archived professor or, I'd like to say thanks for putting this out there. I really enjoyed the Oz and Manhattan arcs
I was pretty meh on the movie, but read it a few years before that came out. All the hype around Watchmen wasn't that great after reading it, since I read the GN in collection many years after it came out. But, despite what Alan Moore feels about it, I think Before Watchmen really fleshed out the arcs and characters to a greater deal, and helped add to appreciation for the myths. Sorry for spelling or autocorrect, I'm on a tablet, but your threads helped me appreciate what I initially ignored as grabbing a quick buck from DC. These story times were great, and I am semi anxious to see what DC does to tie it to Rebirth.
