I'm excited for Snoke to be a gaudy king of bling.
If they make him a sort of evil Liberace on a solid gold star destroyer it'll certainly break up his visuals and make him less of a Palpatine clone. New is good.

This is the great hope for TLJ.
Force Awakens confirmed to normies and OT-nostalgia purists that, yes, indeed, this is a Star Wars film. Beyond a shadow of a doubt. Now they've got them in the door they can take more risks and try new directions.

That's the hope, at least. Unless of course the studio has strong stipulations thet they stick to the path that JJ laid out.
>>

Makes sense. I approve.

>>91952681
http://makingstarwars.net/2017/04/details-snoke-guards-kylo-ren-star-wars-last-jedi/

TLJ looks to be a lot more original and weird than TFA was, with everyone who worked on it (cast + crew) saying exactly that and spy pics of sets backing up that claim. It wasn't until the teaser trailer made it look like a ESB rehash that people did a 180 on it. Hopefully the theatrical trailer will show some of the new shit instead of just showing things you'd expect in a sequel to TFA

finn has a part where he rolls in a first order uniform jacket so that might be his new action figure look

Now I know the stormtroopers are not clones in current, finalized canon, but were they implied to be clones back in 1977, or am I just reaching?

>'Clone Wars' that were fought right before the Empire.
>All of them are left-handed, in spite of 90% of humanity being right-handed.
>"Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"
>Every stormtrooper that speaks has the exact same voice.
>>
>>91952784
...Holy shit. Just when I was thinking how gullible I was.
>>
>>91953066
Yes. The idea back then was that the Clone Wars were when the Jedi fought against anti-Republic clone Stormtroopers but Chancellor Palpatine secretly manipulated the conflict to the point that the Jedi went extinct and he unified the galaxy by allowing whoever the clones fought for to join his territory which was then reformed into the Empire with these clone Stormtroopers as its new soldiers instead of the Jedi.
>>
>>91953066
they aren't all left handed, but you see them left handed more on the death star because none of the actors knew how to hold the guns properly and part of it kept clinking into their abdomens

real world armies have height requirements for conscription, for example Napoleon's life guards had to be all 6'2 or more or some such

and finally, there's about 6 distinct stormtrooper voices in ANH
>>
>>91953066
>>91953163
Forgot to add that Lando was supposed to be a clone (hinted at by his 'Battle of Tanaab' comment) until the prequels were made. The EU never really caught into this but Lucas intended for him to be a clone while making the OT.

I get the feeling that Lando defended his home planet (or maybe his family's lucrative business) from the Separatists during the Clone Wars and that's going to be the Battle of Tanaab explanation. That or it's some battle against pirates or something in the Han Solo movie.

Rey is still shit. I'm done paying hollywood to force political opinions down my throat.

Women are not strong
Women are not heroes
Women are not determined or inspiring

They are verifiably, factually and demonstrably less intelligent, less inspired, less ingenious and less capable than men in almost every field. I am not now nor will I ever swallow the feminist pill of equality because the two genders very simply are not equal.

That is why I didn't like it. Because Rey was the protagonist. I don't want that, I don't need that and I have had enough of Star Wars in my life if that's the way the franchise is going.
>>
>>91954453

TFA imo. I get a lot of people's criticisms of it and some of them I agree with but I still find it super enjoyable and liked pretty much all of the new characters save for Phasma and Hux. Rogue One on the other hand just felt like too much worldbuilding and lacked any interesting characters outside of Krennic.

I don't think they're really comparable though, they're two completely different movies. TFA would make sense to compare to TLJ but obviously it's not out yet so

We still don't know how much of the ST fuckery was really JJ's fault vs. how much of it was thrust upon the creative team by Disney execs who desperately wanted a remake of ANH no matter the cost to the universe.

i.e. was Mothma's horribly out-of-character retarded-ass decision to cancel the military that was obviously contrived to let the First Order come to power so they can be important in Episode VII necessitated by JJ wanting to do rebels vs. empire again, or by Disney wanting rebels vs. empire again, or - perhaps - some combination of both?

Pull an inverse-Empire twist and have Rey think Luke is her father, but it turns out he actually killed her father.

Like her dad was some dark side dude and Luke beat him in a duel, and then her deadbeat mom dumped her on Jakku and traded her for cash and a ship so she could fuck off in peace.

Bonus points if Luke returns from defeating Rey's dad only to find Kylo attacked the Jedi Temple during his absence.

So why are all of the clones so distinct? They're all from the same genetic template and raised in similar fashions. Couple the two and they should all have the same tastes and ideals. Why are they all pretty different from each other?

I'd argue that it has to do with Jango's independent streak and it's a comment on nature versus nurture.

My more serious 'how I would do it if I was in charge' answer is: 'shinies' should basically be the same, but once they get to the field the inevitability of different experience should change them.
>>
>>91956631
he died on the death star like everybody else except Tagge and Vader.
>>
>>91956629
That's the point. Its supposed to be ironic to show that even though Palpatine wanted an army of unquestioning drones the Jedi encouraged them to be their own people which makes Order 66 even more tragic when they turn on people who have become their friends because of chips in their heads.
>>
>>91956647
That's the explanation now, though. Filoni said before he thought Yularen was a grand admiral by the time of ANH, and imagined him as someone who had risen along the ranks alongside Anakin and later Vader.

I don't even know what they can even do with Chewie's character now I think about it. >The B-wing fighter was originally designed by Joe Johnston and Bill George for Return of the Jedi. The craft derives its name from the fact that the crew labeled the two new Rebel Alliance starfighter models in Return of the Jedi as "A fighter" and "B fighter". Bill George had so much input into the starship's development, that his colleagues nicknamed it the "Bill-Wing Fighter".[11] Years later in Star Wars Legends the name "Blade wing" was devised as an in-universe nickname, which was canonized by the Star Wars Rebels production team.[12]

Probably only for the ST trilogy. By Episode X even with regular maintenance that thing will be pretty worn down. Plus it will probably be an "investigate on sight" status for any agents of the antagonists of the next trilogy. And lastly that model will probably be out of circulation from corellia motors or whatnot. That will make it easier to spot and make maintenance harder.

I know a lot of people complain about Mary Sues in the new canon, but all I had to read was the opening quote and first paragraph of an EU character's Wook article to learn that the EU wasn't devoid of Mary Sues either.

>"She was the strongest of us all, and for a brief moment, I could feel how strong. I suspect she would have lived forever, if not for this one sacrifice."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi[src]

>Fay was a centuries-old, female near-Human Jedi Master who was known to have had an intensely strong connection with the Force which allowed her to retain a youthful appearance. She was one of several legendary wandering Jedi Masters whose exploits were known throughout the Jedi Order.
>>
>>91968421
>Among all the species who encountered her, Fay was regarded as a striking woman,[2] and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn once described her as "beautiful and ageless" after an encounter with the Jedi Master. Following the mission to Queyta, Obi-Wan Kenobi commented that no one hated Master Fay, and that throughout her entire Jedi career she never felt the need to use a lightsaber in combat.[1] For many centuries, she roamed the galaxy while being guided by the Force—the physical presence of her personality, combined with her wisdom in the Force, allowed Fay the opportunity to bring peace and harmony to many war-torn planets she encountered.[2]

>Fay was distinguished by her pale skin, blond hair, and her pointy ears which resembled those of the Sephi. She also had distinctive tattoos on her left cheek and forehead. Due to her deep connection with the Force, Fay's physical body was ageless, and she appeared to be a beautiful twenty-year-old almost her entire life.[2]

I almost always agree with the George/Filoni way of doing Star Wars but that is one where they just dropped the ball

He was much cooler as a feared jedi-slayer who had his own personal reasons for fighting the Republic. Sometimes a character has such a cool design that you run the risk of ruining them by having them talk too much or explaining too much about them. I feel like they did that with Grievous with TCW. The need for a recurring villain with a lightsaber who wasn't Dooku got filled by Grievous too much when he should have just been kept as a kind of unknown menace.

Spinning 4 lightsabers around is cool at first until you're 5 seasons in and it's barely even wounded anybody and people treat it like "oh there's that damn Grievous again what a bother"

The one cool thing I'm surprised they did was staying consistent with the fact that Anakin doesn't meet Grievous until Ep 3

A few other things about Luke and Rey but nothing substantial beyond what you probably already know

Del Toro's character also has a ship that's described as having a very sleek and luxurious interior

True, but that can be said for 99% of ancillary material. What is wrong with going sideways, broadening our understanding of the core story and the universe it is set in?

Even if you are not interested in worldbuilding, RO still directly strenghtens ANH by emphasizing the Alliance's desperate position, the weight and importance of the mission Luke finds himself to be a part of and the threat of the Death Star. So it still adds to the Saga.

I don't know. As a fan, it's a given that my perspective on Rogue One, or Star Wars as a whole, is fundamentally different from the general audience's. That's inevitable. I just wish they weren't so dismissive of Rogue One's efforts to showcase more of the existing universe. Oh, it's just fanservice, you want to see AT-STs and Bail Organa, because you've seen them before. No, it's much more than that, RO's work goes way beyond that. The fanservice criticism I've seen leveled at RO is too often superficial, patronizing and ill-informed.

In retrospect, what I find oddest about those pre-ep.1 years was the nature of the emperor.

From what I remember, there was no link between palpatine and the sith at all. Basically, he was treated as this dark force user that basically popped out of nowhere, oh, and he was "president" of the republic senate.

It was mentioned that he collected sith (and jedi) artifacts, and that I believe in the Dark Empire comics he was dabbling in old sith alchemy and all that, but there was no definite link.

Always kinda bothered me. Also, from the little blurbs for the redglow 90's kenner action figures, to the old encyclopedia, to the first "essential guide to characters", Vader's affiliation was: "Dark Lord of the Sith", but the emperor's was never mentioned.

Never explained how Anakin Skywalker became affiliated with the Sith, though the whole great sith war and old jedi order was explained in those wonderul old comics. That title was never explained.

Basically, you had the stuff in the glorious ancient past where the hyperspace routes hadn't all been mapped out yet with a massive sith empire, then you had those epic wars with the jedi and the early republic, and then fucking nothing for thousands of years until "Darth Vader: Dark lord of the what".

Never explained. I mean, come the prequels it was the most fucking obvious thing in the world to make palpatine a secret remnant sith, but it wasn't something stated anywhere. He was just some fucking guy powerful in the dark side of the force.

lol, also when I heard this exchange watching ep1. for the first time:
>Quigon: My only conclusion can be that it was a Sith Lord.
>Kiadimundi: Impossible! The Sith have been extinct for a millennium.
>Windu: I do not believe the Sith could have returned without us knowing.

I was creaming my pants (well, still shot blanks then but whatever). I was thinking: "what, are we fucking doing this for real!? They're pulling the Sith properly into fucking canon?"

It was a more mysterious era.
IIRC there wasn't a monolithic type Jedi Order, per se; I got the sense that they seemed to be more like wandering samurai types, at least early on, and there was certainly no codified apprentice system.

Also, some of the hilariously outlandish theories as to Darth Sidious' true identity were funny, I mean, it was so strongly hinted to be palpatine, but there was room for doubt as they never actually showed his face.

Weirdest fucking things people came up with, including ideas of blood transfusions from the chosen one able to make someone more powerful in the force, or to actually MAKE some otherwise not forcesensitive into someone able to manipulate it. Fucking midiclorians shit.

Pre-midiclorians, there wasn't really a way to measure force sensitivity.
There was only one incident in the Young Jedi Knights books where a Nightsister uses some kind of scanner on Zekk to check is potential for using the dark side, but that's all that comes to mind.
>>
>>91973268
>What is wrong with going sideways, broadening our understanding of the core story and the universe it is set in?
Absolutely nothing. Rogue One is actually my personal favorite SW movie. But he's right to call it a narrative dead-end, though I think he just meant to say "self contained story".

It doesn't change anything about what we already know, it just informs and enriches it. Some people like that some don't. It's not a story that needed to be told but I really liked it.
>>
>>91973268
>Oh, it's just fanservice, you want to see AT-STs
That AT-ST meme pisses me off because it's such a dumb complaint. How dare the Empire use ANH-era equipment a few days before ANH. What horrible pandering.

People should understand that Star Wars (and Lucasfilm) loves to enrich their universe this way.

Almost every piece of media in the franchise ever made has served only to fill in the gaps, and enrich the world and characters.

You want to know the three exceptions, at least in Canon? ESB, ROTJ and TFA. That's it. Everything else has released out of chronological order with little way in affecting the future of the main saga.

People who complain about something (be it RO, Rebels, TCW, comics, Prequels, ect) not being important or necessary because "we already know how the main story ends" simply do not understand Star Wars, and should find something else to follow.
>>
>>91973540
Yeah again we agree completely. The allure is the world, not the main OT storyline forever and ever. I love Luke as much as the next anon but it's such a larger setting than that.

At the same time though, it's good that casual fans can just watch the mainline films and feel like they get it while there is all this peripheral material for other-minded fans to enjoy. They've done a good job of making sure nothing hurts anything else, at least.

I never like to say somebody "isn't a true fan" just because they aren't as autistic about it as me, but I question how much people who didn't like Rogue One actually like Star Wars.

When Lucas allowed an expanded universe to be created, he decided that new stories were only allowed to take place after RotJ. That way, they wouldn't conflict with his Prequels. You can read the Thrawn Trilogy for some glimpses of what they were willing to theorise about the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire. As I recall the slide of the Republic into the Empire was not directly attributed as being a result of the Clone Wars, the war was between the Republic and an army of mentally unstable clones attempting to conquer the galaxy, and the war was so horrific that the mere reveal that a certain character is a clone is enough to give Captain Pellaeon PTSD flashbacks and demand to know why this thing was allowed aboard his ship.
>>
>>91974361
Additionally, since the idea of what a Sith was (aside from Vader being one) wasn't clear until the prequels, the EU before then only ever talked about Dark Jedi, never Sith.
>>
>>91974217
I think it was the combination of attacking the gate and dropping a Star Destroyer through it
A gate is always the weakest point of any wall, and ramming something the size of an ISD right into that weakest point stressed the shield beyond its limits

So long as it turns up every now and again in the wider material I really don't mind all that much. I mean, the protagonist from Twilight Company's sheer overwhelming cynicism towards the Rebellion was a breath of fresh air, but I think it would be a bit too grim for a mainstream movie
Still, the trailer for TLJ has got my hopes up for a slightly more mature approach in the movies. Luke seeming to realize that the Jedi fell for reasons greater than just Anakin holds a lot of promise I really hope they don't screw up
>>
>>91974425

It was pretty damn Mary Sue

No that is not true. You first see Sith Lords in the TOTJ comics. And that predates the prequels. In fact those ideas about the nature of the Sith leave a longer impression on the canon until everything is rebooted. Dark Jedi are more provenance of the novels and rpg related material.

It was not. The thing with Atris is that she loves the Exile for defying the contemplative Jedi Council as the galaxy burned around them. She admits as much to the Handmaidens right after you leave Telos for the first time, saying how the Exile was so "right" and that "everybody has their heroes". The Exile represented the Jedi she grew up with and once worshipped, but at the same time was ruined by the wound in the Force they carried after Malachor. Atris couldn't bear to see and accept that even heroes could be imperfect and brought so low and so became spiteful to the point of feeling jilted. The incarnation of the Jedi Order she was a part of didn't help matters either, given it was hiding in the face of extinction by their "ancient enemy" whom had finally revealed itself.

Atris basically felt she was born in the wrong era. She wanted Tales of the Jedi where exceptional Jedi would take up arms against any injustice that would oppose them, even going against the common consensus of the greater Order. She's a historian, so her pining for a once glorious past makes sense, even if she's not actually learning from said history.

Atris liked bad boys/girls

He was stuck fighting for the losing side, so he tried to defect to the real winners.
His problem was assuming Tyranus was as high as it got, and that he'd be in the market for an apprentice
>>
>>91976637
It's an oldschool idea but I think if you're really going with "space legal" it has to hold up.

Ezra has murdered people, he's a soldier. He might only be a young man but he's surely a man by now. He's brainwashed people into killing their own companions.

What IS Space Legal? The world may never know.
>>
Why was Dooku allowed to have apprentices (Ventress and Savage)? There can only be two Sith lords.
>>
>>91976390
This poor woman has no idea she's used as a pedo mascot on a Taiwanese basket weaving forum.
>>
>>91976731
Sheev didn't know. Once he caught wise he told Dooku to kill them.
>>
>>91976731
They weren't real apprentices to Sheev until Ventress was getting too powerful, so he told Dooku to give her the old Sheev Cleave.

Then he needed a new enforcer to hunt Ventress.
>>
>>91976731
Well the Sith seem to enjoy it when their apprentices try shit behind their backs so Palpatine probably indulged him on the grounds of assuming Dooku was going to make a move to kill him
That and they probably reserve the 'true' power of the Sith to themselves. Take Savage, Dooku trained him to use a double bladed lightsaber which is a terrible choice for someone of Savage's build since he can't put the power into his strikes the way he could with a traditional lightsaber
>>

>>
>>91976731
Neither of them were Sith.

Why do you think Sheev wanted Dooku to kill Ventress in the first place?

He suspected Dooku of wanting to train Ventress further, as a Sith. So Sheev cut that shit out.

Well I sort of get it since Han Solo is actually hyping me up more than people who are acting butthurt over it. Like I get that we really don't need to have a Han Solo movie but we're gonna get one and it's probably going to be great since it gets to take the crime aspect of Star Wars and make a whole movie about it and it's made by 3 people who can probably write good dialogue with these characters.

But still The Last Jedi's soundtrack alone is making me more hyped that Han Solo. Hearing how Williams actually turned Rey's theme into something iconic in the trailer and knowing that they're editing the movie to his soundtrack, not the other way around, makes me hyped. That combined with Rian's attitude, Luke being a main character, more Snoke, Laura Dern, Benicio Del Toro, Luke training a New Jedi Order in a movie, possible lore reveals with ancient Jedi shit, and the leaked and rumored aesthetics makes me hype as fuck for TLJ.

I like them and I'm not a brainless casual.

I think the crux of their argument against the prequels mostly stems from a different understanding of what they perceive the films SHOULD be rather than actively criticizing what they are, but it's delivered in a very entertaining way.

They're spot on about George relying far too much on "character walks over to the window and then turns around to deliver a line" shots, and all the poor direction in the dialogue-centric scenes in the prequels where it was obvious he was a bit bored with it and just going through the motions to get back to the action

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and had bad food, went to complain, but then realized you aren't a pro chef?
I used to make shitty videos too, but I did those for fun; because I wanted to. I can still look at Rogue One, point out the characters are boring, the story was shitty and uninspired, how it's a cash grab with no soul, and was a movie I didn't really enjoy, but because I'm not Spielberg and made a shitty video I can't critique it?
>>91981126
Dead wrong about the prequels being shitty MOVIES (not just Star Wars movies, but movies)? About Rogue One just throwing OT stuff in the movie because they know it will sell?

Let me tell you about a scene from a good movie:
Luke Skywalker, after almost dying in a frozen wasteland, says goodbye to two of his best friends. He walks up to Chewie, says bye, scratches him on the neck (just like a pet), then turns away. How does Chewie respond? He hugs Luke. No shitty, boring, expositional dialog from Chewie, no cheesy camera angles or musical cues, just an emotional moment between two creatures that really care for one another.
Find anything like that in Rogue One, I fucking dare you.

So how exactly DID TOR end up so, so bad?

It's kind of an amazing how I can go on any site, any forum, and find the prequelfags, the OTfags, the EUfags, and even the burgeoning sequelfags (who seem to be primarily made up of Reylo shippers) all in near-unanimous agreement that TOR is just generally a disaster from almost every possible perspective. Only a staunch minority of biodrones defend it.

What the FUCK went wrong
>>
>>91981495

Ok I watched some of their Mr Plinkett videos now, and it seems like it's basically "Let's pick on some minor details in the movie and do it in this funny voice, it'll be so funny".
Which to me personally is not funny at all. I mean... I guess it's just not my sort of comedy...
>>
>>91981374
I've only watched TFA review and part of the RO review. TFA review was one of the biggest waste of my time. The majority of the video was him bitching about the prequels. God damn it, I thought the video was supposed to be talking about TFA? Then he went out to spout nonsense about how people only liked the prequels because of this ring theory. I've literally never heard about the ring theory before I watched this. I stopped near the beginning of RO because they were cringey as fuck. I get they were trying to mimic the fanbase but it was hard to watch.

The game can be fun to play if you enjoy the simplicity of grinding in a WoW style MMO, but the story just isn't very good. Some of the class storylines are pretty decent, but the overarching stuff sucks. The "Sith Empire" being IDENTICAL to OT era Imperials is just too nonsensical and stupid to look past. And the main villains aren't great. People liked Darth Malgus, but he's really just Darth Malak 2.0 with a waifu.

A lot of the hate, justifiably, comes from Star Wars Galaxies fans like myself. That was very simply a vastly superior game in every way. TOR is such a massive step backwards that most people can't stomach it, and I truly cannot blame then since that game was an incredible experience to be a part of. People who love TOR are too young to have played it and don't know any better as to what they missed out on.

Those trailers were indeed fantastic. Very cinematic and exciting and captured the essence of Star Wars well. But they were a horrible idea because they were used to advertise a game that plays like WoW. It's a huge leap, and naturally the game isn't anywhere near as cool as that so even people who enjoy the likes of WoW (and I don't personally understand how they could, but that's a separate issue) were let down expecting something more exciting and fast paced and action-y. Furthermore, the story couldn't live up to KotOR, and in spots totally shit all over the established story in those games, so those fans got fucked over just as much as SWG fans.
>>
>>91981648
>Find anything like that in Rogue One, I fucking dare you.
I didn't mean "a scene without music where an emotion is conveyed without words." I brought up Empire because that scene is not only a simple, effective moment, but because it also included well written characters with realistic, well outlined motivations and feelings.
>Jyn's reaction to her father's message.
Right here, let me just point out a very, very, very easy way make your screen play/movie have an emotional connection: give the main character a family member and throw them in the plot.
Did her dad need to be in the movie? No, it could have been ANYONE with just a line of dialog like "Jyn is the best infiltration expert I've ever known" to give her reason to be there.
If they really wanted a good emotional anchor in the film they could have just written Jyn to be a bit more relatable or likable or something and then made her friendship/relationship with Cassian more organic.
Instead they just look at each other with varying levels of hate and apathy until the end where suddenly everyone cares and then they all die.
It's all just shabby, lazy writing, honestly.

Yes. We've known for ages.

>Luke Skywalker engages the Knights on the beach while Kylo attempts to kill Rey.
>The first black knight has an axe and moves towards the Luke but is Force pushed away to his death after being thrown through the air.
>After Luke dispatches the first Knight he ignites his green lightsaber.
>Luke moves through each Knight one-by-one.

Honestly the reaction to the trailer not showing anything has amused me to no end. For years people have been complaining about trailers that show too much, that basically tell you the story before the movie comes out, and now we get a trailer that has the decency to keep a few secrets people are angry about it
>>91983136
A less sarcastic version of this, to be honest
We know from set leaks that Luke gets into a fight the Knights, and apparently throws them about judging by the wire fu reported. But we don't have any indication what happens next, or if Luke even kills them
>>

Ok well it's a long ass list but here we go:

First of all the decision to do full voices and cutscenes fucked the game up royally. All those voice files ballooned the games file size to more than double what it otherwise would have been. After that the art direction simply wasn't there, since so much of the games equipment sets are overdesigned and over-elaborate for a franchise dedicated to simple robes and plain white armor. On top of that a lot of the textures just plain wound up being worse since they just picked a bad direction to go in. Tattoine looks worse than it did in the original Xbox game.

Beyond that you have the fact that the story mode fucked any kind of replayablility. If you want to try a different path you obviously can't just load a new save so you need to start over from the beginning, no matter how far you in or how minor the choice seems. On the flip side if you want an alt character of the same class you have to sit through every cutscene all over again so it sucks on both ends. On top of this a lot of stories weren't that great. Like a third of them are pretty shit and so if you want to play a specific role in a party for either faction sometimes you'd just wind up being shitfucked into watching a bad story, unlike Kotor which had one story every class went through which was brettygud.

And when you get down to it, the gameplay isn't that Star Warsy either. Instead of having your one personal blaster or saber you have to keep trading up like any other MMO, when even Galaxies tried to personalize a decade prior. It takes like four to six hits to kill anything level appropriate but there were often stupid exploits that ruined gameplay challenge, when it takes one or two in the films or TV shows. Space Combat is a rail shooter when Galaxies at least tried for full flight sim like the classic flight games.

Then you have the fact that EA got completley fucked in contracts, which is another story entirely.

2 felt much more consistent yeah
3 had some great episodes, but it had some poor ones as well. And two main arcs (Dark Ezra, Sabine's family) were handled pretty badly
And, despite leading the trailers with the words "Battles leave scars", Kanan's blindness felt brushed over. I was expecting at the very least an Zatoichi style scene of Kanan turning off the lights and kicking ass in the dark, only lit by his saber
>>
>>91986032
Actually it's more like
>dude ahsoka lmao
It had more than 2 good episodes, and Shroud of Darkness and Twilight of the Apprentice were fantastic enough to justify this being the best season for me.

>want to watch it again to give it another chance

I'm in the "want to watch it again" phase right now.
>>
>>91986230
>dumbest writeoff for Ahsoka ever
To be fair, it would've been a good writeoff had Ahsoka died for real, but we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
>killing all the Inquisitors
Good, they were really annoying and pretty much worthless.
Everything else you pointed out is true.
>>

>>
>>91986230
>>repulsor flying
Really don't get why people bitch about this. Star Wars has had FAR sillier moments.

>>91986289
It's a legit move but the angle is weird. I remember I saw a different variant on IMDB forums back in the day. It's literally a bad angle.

>>
>>91985753
There haven't been any good seasons, just a handful of good episodes spread across the series. Most of it is shit. Season 2's finale is the best episode hands down though.
>>
>>91986312
inquisitors were a neat idea and were a lot better antagonists than mr strides around his desk and points on the map
>>
>>91986331
>It's a legit move but the angle is weird. I remember I saw a different variant on IMDB forums back in the day. It's literally a bad angle.
I think I'll need more info or something, because all I can see is Anakin spreading his arms wide open, his saber safely off to his right, while Dooku comes in from his left.
>>
>>91986389
Agreed. I remember watching that episode where the fifth brother was introduced for the first time and was like, this character looks cool and will probably pose a threat. The character in the end barely did a thing and was pretty much only there so that there was an inquisitor for ezra and kanan.
>>
>>91986230
>vader fucking off for the rest of the series for no real reason
reason was Thrawn was the antagonist of season 3.
>building up maul who proceeds to do very little in the next season
Kinda true. He still had a big moment in Twin Suns tough.

Why? For me it was great. She maybe should've died, but we'll see what's with her in s4
