I... I can't like both? I like MoS/BvS Superman because his reaction to the shit going on around him is somewhat realistic, since the population reminds me of Marvel in its treatment of him, and he can still smile and still does the heroic and inspirational thing... and the CW Superman was just likable, looked the part, and portrayed the classic more cheery and optimistic Superman.

One grew up with a more cynical John Kent who died tragically when Clark could have prevented it and just after an argument, some unpleasant last words lingering, and the other presumably grew up with Pa Kent who (if he is even dead yet) died of a heart attack at home and Clark dealt with it in a healthy manner.

DCEU Superman is also an attempt at a slighly different take on the character, focusing on the outcast and alien, whereas CW Superman is basically a supporting character who they felt no need to flesh out.
