/tv/ largely has shit taste and is filled to the brim with circlejerking and shitposting, so it might be just be ironic to say they like it.

Or maybe /tv/ just likes Dark & Gritty.

Either or.
>>
Because it's a contrarian opinion that enables shitposting. Contrarianism and shitposting are /tv/'s bread and butter.

And then there's some guys that genuinely enjoyed it. But those are few and far between.
>>
I mostly like it because Batman kills people, and that triggered a lot of /co/ autists.
>>
>>91059766
Because its a good film and nobody cares if you think it remains true to how you think the comics ought to be
>>
>>91060198

Mostly the same. Watching /co/ shriek over small things like enjoying something is what gives me fuel these days.
>>
>>91059766
Because reddit has good taste. And thus 4Chan must has bad taste to not be like those redditors
>>

Mate.

It's ironic, easy to shitpost and bait. Saying that it is good is the new "baneposting". The actual people who like to worship this shit here are clearely few and easily recognizable.
>>
>>91059766
Because even a broken clock is right occasionally.
>>
>>91060228
>is what gives me fuel these days.

This is actually kind of sad.
>>
Distancing yourself as much as possible from popular opinion, even at the expense of having some actual taste, makes you feel unique and above the "average normie sheeple who can't see what a masterpiece of a film this is", or as they also call them, "marvelcucks and redditors".
>>

Because /tv/ worships at the altar of Contrarianism.
>>
It's very visual and has defined themes so you can feel like an adult watching it.
>>
>>91059766

because /tv/ think being contrarian is equal to being a connoisseur

And yet /tv/ only ever talks about discount store "kino". I guess Bergman doesn't have enough action scenes.
>>
Have to wonder if JL pulls off a miracle and manages to get a really high RT score and makes a billion dollars, would it turn /tv/ and the BvS shitposters into chaos and they will have to hate it to be contrarian then be forced to use RT to compare it to marvel films.
>>
>>91059766
Not sure why /tv/ likes it but the ultimate cut was pretty great. I liked the way it incorporated the problem of evil with Superman and Luthor especially

While some people consider Bergman a brilliant filmmaker, he lacks the visual impact and the gravitas of Zack Snyder. We're living in a new era of filmmaking where old conventions need not apply. Bergman never brought an arthurian legend to the big screen like Snyder did.
>>
>>91064625
I don't think anyone could bring an arthurian legend to the big screen like Snyder did

nor would they want to
>>

Are you fucking retarded? Genres are literally defined by their themes. Mindbreak is defined by the theme of corruption. Usually this corruption is portrayed negatively, but Take that Hand has a positive take on the idea of sexual corruption.
Love stories often have themes of being unable to communicate easily. Often you have the very first page and the last pages of a comic emphasize the general movement that a character(s) undergo during the entire story.
Let's check the very first english story on nhentai. https://nhentai.net/g/191107/
In the first 6 pages, there are already clear themes about the loss of innocence and a let down of stature. The very first page emphasizes what the main characters were, what they are now and Touyama's disposition to the situation.
Immediately things continue on the path of loss that was already established in the first page. Then the story emphasizes the coldness of 'the real world' that both of the MCs have been sheltered from until now. The people they ask to help not only don't care about them, but refer to their own hard times.
After that on page 6 do things start to be overtly sexual, the face of Tsubaki is blatantly coercive and gently predatory, and it has become clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that this will be a straight shota hentai that will emphasize a general coming of age arc ('I'll make you into a man etc). Each of 3 predators are clearly going to have a slightly different approach to fucking the adolescent boy. (the second being the most gentle unless some subversion happens)
I did literally all of this analysis before reading past the first 7 pages.
Reading the rest of the story, not much was a surprise (I though the second girl was going to fuck him in a different scene, wrong about that) and I could analyse the rest a decent bit too. It's actually difficult to write a story without it having themes.

I'm a big cape fan, mostly DC but I like a lot of pre-90s Marvel (the big exception being Annihilation, probably the best thing Marvel has made).

My favorite "big" superhero comics are CoIE, Marvels, Multiversity, Justice, Kirby's Fourth World mega story, and 52.

My favorite single character runs/stories are Dial H, OG Wally Flash (I am currently making my way through his whole series), Vietch's Question and Moore's Swamp Thing.
My favorite non-capeshit are A Contract With God, Habibi, and The Airtight Garage.

What about you?

God you guys are so autistic. Analysing this shit when any normal person can see it's a joke. /tv/ thrives on irony and many posters dedicate time to intricate arguments to defend complete shit, as a joke. Don't comment if you don't understand the board culture, they have done this with countless movies in the past, it's funny. No wonder everyone thinks this is the worst board, at least /tv/ isn't filled with furfags.

I like O'Neil's too, I just like Veitch's more because its so weird and crazy, and I like the idea of Question becoming so good at the meditation stuff O'Neil set up that he becomes a street shaman. I wish they continued in that direction. And the use of the medium to show the two "worlds" Question saw was rad.

Shitposting KINO and "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" aren't compelling arguments. I don't doubt that people like BvS or MoS. I've seen plenty of articulate discussions on the movie here on /co/. On /tv/ such a thing is so fucking rare. On /tv/ it's just all bullshit,

>unironically using edgy

teens dont do edgy shit anymore, I have a teenage brother and they are all just hipster fucks these days. Sure there is always going to be some super edgy minority, but its not in anyway a trend anymore.

The shitty teens on 4chan are just stupid shitposters who parrot opinions to fit in or because they dont know any better. I know I did similar shit in high school when I didnt feel like I could form my own opinion on something.

And most of /tv/'s most liked/memed movies are genuinely good and well liked by most, and their most hated movies tend to be movies everyone hates (The Hobbit movies for a recent example)
You guys are absolutely pathetic.
>>
>>91069519

>>
>>91070140
no it wouldn't, they would just latch on Star Wars prequel defense
>>
>>91069480
I'd still rank places like /tg/ and /o/ above it, easily. /co/ used to be fairly good but the last few years and the drastic influx of shitposting has hurt it significantly. To say nothing of those who aren't shitposting but genuinely trying to soapbox their (furfag-tier retarded) viewpoints.

Look at this thread alone; shitposting and shitposting, with an OP that's almost begging for it to happen. It's only going to get worse when summer rolls around with Wonder Woman, Guardians Vol. 2, Homecoming, etc.

/co/ can live through it though, as much as any other board can live through the gradual decline the site's been dealing with.
>>
>>91070183
star wars prequel defense was never a /tv/ meme. The meme is that it was a /tv/ thing when it really really wasnt.

Even /tg/ has suffered a decline as of late, and it still has a few garbage threads every now and then, but the trick to it is that it hits a sweet spot between board traffic and people invested in their hobbies that allows it to self-regulate to a decent degree (and the most obvious shitposters like Virt actually do get hit with bans; mods actually exist in a non-theoretical form).

But gone are the days where they're pumping out homebrew games, settings, Chapters, what have you like clockwork. It still happens, but it's far less frequent that /tg/ gets shit done. Also their filename threads are almost as bad as /co/'s, it gets embarrassing at points.

Still, one can applaud the work that does get done from time to time. Some of it even /co/-related.
