>I'm Wolverine
...thanks?
What, you like buying expensive slaves? Izzat what you sayin', Wolvie?
Man, can you imagine walking through a seedy neighborhood with enhanced senses? Must be hell.
>>90957266
Hey, Daredevil manages okay.
FOLDED OVER A THOUSAND TIMES
>>90957352
Matt's life is such a shitshow, cat pee is small potatoes compared to the rest.
Dave Chapelle is dead?!
>>90957496
Huh, that explains why Netflix kept showing me his special when I was trying to watch other shit.
>>90957496
Wolverine and redheads man
So how are y'all doing this fine evening?
>>90957630
>why Netflix kept showing me his special when I was trying to watch other shit
Also because they paid him like $60 million for those
>>90957957
invading this thread because the regular jsanon is away for a few days. I'm rereading Secret Six and really feeling like storytiming that thing
>>90957987
Y'know, just in case you needed to know who's who.
>Please don't ask me how he wipes his ass
>>90957995
Go for it, anon! The world needs more storytimes!
>>90957957
Gonna be watching some entry-level anime with a buddy and hopefully borrow his laptop for the night.
Damn, why do you even need Bozo the Clown over there?
>>90958095
Sounds comfy. Watcha watchin'?
What could be the only thing to take Logan's eyes off a redhead?
>>90958089
I think I'll do it when she is mia. I think all I am missing in the Villains United: Infinite Crisis one-shot. Other than that, it is Villains United, 1-shot, Sinister Six miniseries, Four and a half issues of Birds of Prey, then the regular S6 series
Of course! An Asian girl!
Fuck yeah X thread!!!
I've been reading the Excalibur Epic. So great.
Incredibly hype for the Classic X-Men Omnibus
>>90958054
Kek
Once again, gotta go walk the dog. Sit tight, boys and girls.
>>90958149
We've already seen JoJo and Death Note, and we're halfway through the first FMA series.
I plan to eventually get this guy through Brotherhood, Bebop, Outlaw Star, Berserk, Code Geass, Hellsing Ultimate, and Space Dandy so I can have a decent idea what genres he's into.
So because this was originally an anthology there's no credits on the pages themselves, but this is John Buscema right?
>>90958232
>Incredibly hype for the Classic X-Men Omnibus
When you say "Classic"...
Snikt bump
>>90957050
Well hey there, X-Anon.
This isn't "tomorrow," you have a good hiatus?
Ah, MCP. The first Wolverine ongoing.
>>90957215
It's Wolverine, he probably swung by for the Gerard Jones Experience.
>>90958773
the back ups Claremont and others did for the Classic X-Men reprints
>>90957306
So, Wolverine just killed that first guy, right?
Or at least shattered hid jawbone.
They seriously downplay how dangerous Wolverine's skeleton would be.
>>90959210
It's Wolverine. Guy never had problems with killing before or since.
>>90957957
I'm doing alright OP. The past few weeks have been pretty rough for me. How about you?
>>90957050
Damn that's one of the better Wolverine covers.
>>90957957
Recovering nicely after being sick for a week. Down to a bit of nasal congestion, and unfortunate dry/scabby nostrils.
>>90957496
Wait, why is this issue only 8ish pages?yes this is my first time in these x-men storytime thread
>>90959365
Marvel Comics Presents is an anthology, Wolverine was just the character who got used on the cover.
>>90957987
Evil Colonel Sanders?
>>90958054
>>90958054
Oh shit! Razorfist!
He's an idiot!
>>90959386
Oh I see, thanks anon.
Did Clairemont right these wolverine anthologies too? It sure feels like him.
>>90957995
Hot tip: Maybe start tomorrow so you aren't competing with New Comic Book Day.
Awight, sorry for the wait.
>>90959440
No X villain worse than Axe from New Mutants
He was just a guy holding an axe!
>>90959080
Yeah sorry, I had no idea how much of a toll this first week would take on me. I don't wanna get up early, man!
Speaking of, I'm probably done with the commentary for the night because there's some homework I gotta take care of.
>>90959289
True enough.
Basically a usefully directed serial killer, ain't he?
>>90957266
Goes a way to explaining Logan's sunny disposition.
>>90959315
I'm doing well other than being kinda nackered. Currently doing some concept art.
>>90959365
Marvel Comics Presents was an anthology book that ran weekly and included four stories of 8 pages, of which one was (more or less) always Wolverine.
Sometimes two of the stories had Wolverine!
>>90958054
>wiping after taking a shit
pfft
I've been thinking how strange it is recently how few Logan stories we have between his birth and Weapon X. There's like this empty century of the dude's life
>>90959620
nah, he doesn't really LIKE killing.
>>90959545
At least he was HOLDING an ax.
Razorfist had his hands surgically replaced with swords! He's a grade A Mort.
Why isn't Wolverine Patch?
>>90959727
Hey that's commitment!
>>90959682
Oh shit, she's got Mr. Fuji style Green Wrestling Dust.
>>90959780
That comes later.
>>90959853
Seriously though. It is really hard to out-lame Razorfist. Thigh boots, a wrestling singlet, and what may be underwear on your face? Dear god man.
>>90959890
Still less /d/ than Razorfist.
Buscema's a pretty good artist guys
>>90959853
If Geoff Johns was a Marvel boy we'd have the patch's origin by now.
>>90959925
dat Goblin look
>>90959965
>Buscema's a pretty good artist guys
Yes. Very much so.
A Sal is fine too, although nowadays he's a bit diminished for being in his 70s.
>>90959638
the Siege Perilous is so fucking weird
So are the not wolverine stories reprints or shitty or what?
>>90960515
They're not X-Men related. IIRC they ones that ran alongside Wolverine were Man-Thing, Silver Surfer, and Shang Chi. Not a bad line-up, but not terribly relevant to our interests I'm afraid.
Actually that's a lie, the last MCP issue tonight starts the Colossus back-up, buuut we're not reading that right now.
so when's the new relaunch start? does it have a fancy title that includes Genesis for the overall line.
>>90960551
ahh ok, i had assumed it was all X stories. Like a Storm one and a Kitty one, etc etc.
this sounds like the perfect try out book for creative teams. You get 8 pages, a character, go write/draw stuff.
>>90960634
I think X-Men Prime comes out next week, right?
>>90960686
yep, and the Epic starting Claremont's run.
Is Prime like telling a status quo set up story or is it an anthology thing with each book getting a few pages to tell a story and pitch itself?
>>90960767
No idea. Not even sure if I'll check it out desu.
>>90960634
>this sounds like the perfect try out book for creative teams. You get 8 pages, a character, go write/draw stuff.
Yeah. It was used that way a lot.
So the quality vacillated WILDLY.
>>90960866
yeah, you'd probably need a big name anchor team. (Which i'm assuming Wolverine and Claremont are doing)
>>90961034
>First Panel
Chris, settle down.
>>90961251
Cutting power lines with knives built into your arms seems like a great way to get electrocuted.
>>90957215
I'm this the homeland of the fire hot chick with metal wings?
Last issue! (for tonight!)
Damn you guys, now I don't have time to play Viewtiful Joe because I gotta go to sleep :(
And that's it for tonight. See you guys next time for more Wolverine!
>>90962156
Oh that crazy Wolverine
Thanks OP
>>90962117
That's why you get the DS one, and play while you're in bed.
>>90960096
>Even Wolverine thinks he looks dumb
>>90960403
Rook same
>>90961556
Is Adamantium a conductor?
>>90962079
And so begins Wolverine: Humphrey Bogart cosplayer.
>>90962660
Yes. In multiple instances it has been portrayed as an excellent conductor of electricity.
As a metal adamantium is given the commonly known properties of metals.
But I think they're going for the whole "ninja slash!" cut that's faster than anything that has to do with real-world physics.
Honestly, if they were going for realism with this stuff there would never again be a robot dismembered by any blade-wielding combatant.
>>90959925
Isnt it crazy how open Claremont was with regards to what turned him on?
>>90965095
That's typical of a submissive masochist. They can't help but broadcast it.
But that did give us superperv-X-Men comics, so let's not complain too much about it.
>>90962156
Thanks for posting. How important does Madripor become?
>>90960968
Don't smoke, kids. It'll bite you in the ass one day when it comes your turn to murder some prostitutes.
>>90966072
Like with every fictional nation in 616, (Latveria, Genosha, Canada) Marvel has free reign to do stories with sweeping sociopolitical consequences that directly impact the comicbook casts relation to the world stage.
So Madripor has gone from being a crappy corrupt South-East Asian nation to Hydra-land to Mystique's private mutant crime-state.
And at one point it became synonymous with The Hand ninja clans.
>>90957050
Yai.
