We've already seen JoJo and Death Note, and we're halfway through the first FMA series.

They're not X-Men related. IIRC they ones that ran alongside Wolverine were Man-Thing, Silver Surfer, and Shang Chi. Not a bad line-up, but not terribly relevant to our interests I'm afraid.

Like with every fictional nation in 616, (Latveria, Genosha, Canada) Marvel has free reign to do stories with sweeping sociopolitical consequences that directly impact the comicbook casts relation to the world stage.
So Madripor has gone from being a crappy corrupt South-East Asian nation to Hydra-land to Mystique's private mutant crime-state.
And at one point it became synonymous with The Hand ninja clans.
