No, no, in my theory Lotor is only on the paladins side because they can help him kill his father along with Haggar.

Haggar siumons for him and he agrees to get rid of the paladins, fast forward to him and the paladins eventually meeting and Keith helps the others see the good in this galra.

I'm riding on Lotor being a black sheep amongst the paladins because he can't die in S3, nor S4. He has to present himself as the true enemy after Shiro returns, so that the final season of Voltron is the paladins defeating him.

I think that some group under Romelle's command are the ones that rescued Matt, and that she'll be introduced whenever team Voltron gets Matt back. I don't know if they're allied with the Blade or if they'll be their own little rebel group. If Romelle does turn out to be Galra, it's much more likely that they'll be an offshoot of the Blade of Marmora. Otherwise probably not.

I think that this group will be aware that while defeating Zarkon is a worthy goal, that removing him will cause its own set of problems. If Romelle is the leader of her own rebel group, she may chastise Allura and her Paladins for not having a Step 2, 3, 4... in addition to the "Kill Zarkon" plan.

I was and am still excited that Keith's "father" got revealed.

We finally got a face on him and know part of Keith's past but these fujo tumblr kids.

Yeah, Voltron is generally big on the "found family" theme. Hunk said that the paladins are brothers back in S1 (before the "Pidge is a girl" reveal). Pidge said that her dad considered his crew to be his family, and that she's starting to understand what he meant. Allura also said that she considers Keith and rest of the paladins her family in S2. The fact that Keith finally found a family with Shiro and the rest of the team, after growing up as an orphan, is what makes his story touching. Yet Klance fujos insist on making Shiro and Keith blood-related because they get triggered at the idea that there are people who ship them with each other, so they come up with more and more ridiculous headcanons to make sure their relationship is 100% no homo.
