Fucking up Lotor. That includes making him big and ugly, making him brooding and serious, making him a good guy right off the bat, or just generally turning him into some completely original character with little to no inspiration from his DotU counterpart.

After Season 1 I was worried that they would never bring in Lotor or that (even worse) Keith would be Lotor. Now that those concerns are out of the way, it's all about execution. I'd rather they go full Starscream with him and make him a joke than make him an angsty super serious no fun allowed character. Lotor without any of the campy smugness would be heresy.

At the very least, though, Keith=Lotor is dead dead dead.

Klance is only a temporary rivalry imo. The entire point of it is that Lance has to learn to grow out of it. It's not one of those great rivalries which motivate you to be a better person through competition or set a large chunk of the plot in motion.

I think Pidge will snap Keith out of that mindset by using his own words against him and that'll make Keith get his ass in gear. Turnabout is fair play.

I think Lance is going to be the one going through the most changes actually, with his hero Shiro gone and having chosen Keith over him in a big way. I bet Allura and even Hunk will side with Keith, since they both had some cute bonding moments with him in S2. I can see them supporting him as interim team leader.

If even Hunk takes Keith's side that would be a huge blow to Lance's ego. He would run off on his own for sure. Maybe Pidge will be the one to go after him and they'll stumble across Matt somehow. I fully expect the Pidge-Matt reunion to happen in S3 regardless of how it goes down..

I never said it'd be romantic, quads-senpai. Maybe something more like Hunk and Lance's mermaid adventure. It's true I'm a filthy Pancefaggot, but I'm just thinking of what would hurt Lance the most:

Lance was already whining about Shiro favoring Keith over him, and this will be the final nail in that coffin. Hunk did a little bonding with Keith after the Galra reveal, and Hunk is Lance's best friend. If Hunk sides with Keith when Lance throws a bitch fit and challenges Keith, that would send Lance over the edge. Allura also accepted Keith already, and I can't imagine her leaving the castle to go after Lance anyway.

That really only leaves Keith himself or Pidge to go fetch him. If Pidge does what I think she might do and feed Keith his own words, she becomes the prime candidate to go help Lance get over himself while Keith and Allura figure out how to deal with the remaining Galra threat.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking too. Lance's feelings of rivalry need to be resolved or at least refocused, since I fully expect Lotor to fixate on Keith and for that dynamic to become a true rivalry. Lance would feel like a third wheel trying to compete with Keith on the side with that going on.

I'd rather Lance be the one to keep Keith's impulsiveness and negative traits in check than for him to keep trying to "beat Keith at X" at every turn.

Can't wait for April 1st when they confirm Slav for black paladin

Just woke up from one of the longest dreams I ever had.
It was basically an entire episode of Volton where Lotor set up a trap for the new crew (Shiro was still missing as he is now), and they were basically trapped in this pocket dimension that was essentially a planet covered in flags. The whole thing was really an illusion though created by Galras space wizards but the team didn't know that and kept trying to figure out how to escape. It felt as though 2 weeks had passed already and Allura broke down crying deeply regretting she had ever dragged them into this, Keith cheered her up. According to one of the Galra druids the only way they could get out is by cleansing any evil in their hearts, everyone had done so by then but Lance still couldn't brush something off but I woke up before I found out.
