Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire.

First live-action Star Wars ANYTHING since ROTJ, the costumes were the actual movie props, there's nothing that conflicts with existing Canon and it brings a fun new ship in the TIE Phantom. It fits in neatly and has a special place in Star Wars history.

Republic Commando is a must, it's begging for a sequel. Have the boys hunt down rogue clones, Jedi and terrorists for a bit, before dangling a lead of Sev. Second chapter can be them going AWOL finding him, and the third can (if Disney REALLY wants to push the pro-rebel thing) have them defect to the Rebels and, in a Splinter-Cell style, take on their former Commando comrades.

Am I the only one that hopes Kenobi finally defeats and kills Maul off in their encounter?

Their rivalry is a big thing and Maul, as interesting as he is, needs to die soon. I think it's only right that Obi-Wan finish the job that he started and kill Maul in self-defense. Maul dying by anyone else's hand will feel wrong. Obi-Wan was originally supposed to have killed him in Episode I, so he should be the one that gets the kill now. Plus it finally gives closure to the Satine stuff.

Oh yeah, Bail was in ROTS and Kenobi probably told him in a scene I forgot. I thought Ashoka only understood that Vader was Annie after sensing his presence for the first time, and she never shared that info. So only two Imperials (technically three if you count the inspectors deduction of Annies identity) knew who Vader was. Playing up any Jedi post Empire Day was as loyal saviors was probably not useful, and maybe very hurtful to Imperial prestige, since it would remind people of the Old Republic.

Now I wonder how the average citizen sees the old Clone Troopers. It'd be funny if Rex gets recognized as one by some random citizen who then goes all "Thank you for your service!" on him

I doubt that Vader himself is kept a secret, but I feel it's a given that force abilities in general are. The Jedi themselves are treated as stuff of legends and myths, and the Empire is clearly doing everything it can to bury them from the public consciousness...while secretly keeping them under their scrutiny. Those who cooperate (Inkies) are kept as top secret elite, but disposable, soldiers; those who refuse to play ball are suppressed, if not outright disposed of. Hell, it wouldn't surprised me if the Empire actively encouraged the public to turn in/report anyone with force sensitive potential, regardless of age, like it was some sort of disease demanding immediate attention.

The problem is that the timetable is still very much a bad thing.

Demilitarization less than a year out, when the majority of the imperial fleet is still there, is ridiculous. Remember Wendig had her start making those demands before Jakku came about, before there were even any real dedicated warships in the rebel fleet to begin with, and before there was any treaty to stop the empire from throwing star destroyers around.

It it was like ten years on and the treaties were well established then sure, I'd see it. But we know from Lost Stars that the Imperial Remnant was more than willing to attack the New Republic, even without invoking the FO, essentially day after Jakku.

There wasn't even anything to fucking demilitarize. There were maybe a few dozen smaller ships made for military service but every capital ship the rebels had was just a pile of junk thrown together or a cruise ship or cargo hauler with armor on top of it. At least wait until you have something worth scaling back before issuing a bunch of ultimatums as the fights are literally happening across the galaxy.
