It's a solid 7 at best and completely meaningless and skippable at worst. I think people forget that the character who Onion Gang revolved around didn't even talk. At least Ronaldo had chance to get some funny dialogue going. In OG you just had "GARBANZO" and kids who don't even live in Beach City. Kind of hard to care about that.

I just hope we're past the worst of it because S4's gonna go down as the Season that may turn people off the show otherwise.

I don't know what it is, but so much of her is that long poofy hair. I can't get into short hair Jasper at all.

I kind of understand why people think the Crewniverse don't take enough chances with stories in certain episodes, but at the same time it's like...OK? Arc problems are an issue and yes, the cluster was kind of haphazardly put on hold but it wasn't the end of things. Ronaldo going on a mission and fucking it up would've been cool, but I imagine the 11min time limit would've made it hard to get everything they wanted to in.

Is that the show's fault? Yes. But sometimes it works. Gem Drill, for all its faults, was fantastically paced and even though the climax is "FRIENDSHIP WINS" it's a really good episode with lots going on. If I had one complaint, it's that I'd like to see the Gems involved with more mundane stories if they're actually going to be written that way. Thankfully TNCG and Rocknaldo both included Gems in some way so maybe they're learning.

Steven: Pretty cliche pacifistic protagonist.
Don't know why they made him go so far from his character with Kevin and Jasper.

Pearl: Has too much focus and is pretty shitty to be frank, i can literally call her the grieving widow and that'd sum up most of her character

Garnet: Unfortunately forgotten about after Season 1 and is now only just a barrier for Ruby and Sapphire to grow.

Amethyst: That sad class clown for most of Season 1 but now she just accepts she's defective, even though she's crazy OP because of it.

Ruby: Has a lot more going on then we can see with only 7 episodes, may have major death flags over her and might die saving Sapphire

Sapphire: One of the few characters i can safely say should have not gotten involved with the war. She like Ruby does have a deeper character but sugar usually writes her as the lovey dovey couple with Ruby.

Peridot: Wasted potential after she lost the one thing she needed most, intimidation.

Lapis: Got off scott free for all her actions that should have gotten her put back in the mirror.

Jasper: Cliche jock-type antagonist who has a tragic backstory.

Blue Diamond: If i could see any of the antagonists joining the good guys at the last second, it'd be her.

Yellow Diamond: Feels like major end game fuel and might be the final boss.

Centipeetle: Unfortunate victim of the war who i hope becomes a permanent member after Steven heals her.

Bismuth: Extremist who might understand what Rose was fighting for and why Steven will become better then her.
Also good 22 minute episode, i hope the CGs use the upgrades more often, last we saw any of them was in Beta i believe.

Rose: Purposefully shrouded in mystery but i think it's ultimately gonna be revealed she was in the right because of PD either being a dick, or supportive of her cause.

Ruby Squad: Cute add-on members to the CG.

Townies: Muda Muda.

Greg/Connie: Really the only important humans in the show.
