After all, it mentions Red/Blue Superman teased on a Rebirth cover, Geoff Johns' Superman run which is referenced as canon in AC, and even Infinite Crisis 'nuff said!

I agree but Black works for a very specific kind of story: Challenging Superman's moral foundation. Plus Black was a complete asshole but he was doing what he thought was best. He's not as much of a straight up villain.

Blanque on the other hand is a fucking sociopath. He's a straight up bad guy, and he's really fucking dangerous. He's also really fucking petty and I love that in a villain.
