I was never really big on the St. Olga's episode last season (for half-hour episodes Storm the Castle/Bon Bon are so much better it's ridiculous) and so I probably liked Gift of the Card/Heinous more than most people did-- more than St. O's.

I guess because her debut episode came off as weaker than it could have been, I don't mind her being kind of a joke now? Her just casually talking with Marco's parents about how she wants to kill him is just absurd in a good way.

Still though, who'da thunk Ludo and Heinous would have switched levels of villainy this season? Even if Ludo gets redeemed/BTFO in the finale he still accomplished way more than she did.

i would have been able to buy a jarco victory, if they had taken careful time to show off both her personality and her dynamic with marco, but as of press time she is just a plot device not a character

So much work has gone into the character relationships, namely Star and Marco, that it's become an intricate part of the story. I really hope they do kill her, because it would make shit real, send Star spiraling further down into darkness and depression, and fit with how Moon defeated Toffee years in the past.

Though I'm not sure how likely it is. So far they've been totally okay with talking about dying killing without euphemisms, showing/implying violence, even having a plot based on genocide, but the only characters to have literally died so far are random no-names like the bug monster that got killed or the goblin thing sucked into Helios. Even Rasticore is still alive right now.

I totally expect Toffee to die at the end of the series but the main character's mother is a bit different.
