Now, where was I...
>>89985020
>Pan up to the rocks where Beeper was and we see Loki with the sun behind him, his horned shadow is creeping up on the DeSoto
>We get a close up of his smug prick face

>Beeper is running across the rocky landscape until his spots something reflecting sunlight in the distance and changes course
>There’s a deep narrow canyon which Shocker is just able to drive through, it’s about double the width of his car, but all the rocky outcroppings still make it treacherous
>He’s driving slowly, his eyes narrow as he keeps darting his head around to check his blind spots
>Suddenly he darts his head around and sees a small rock just tumbling down the canyon walls
>He grabs his gauntlets and his guns as he aims them upwards before spotting Beeper who is just standing there, watching him with the camera
>Shocker’s eyes relax a little as he lowers his gun only to almost jump out of his pantyhose ninja suit as a rock slide happens behind him
>He hits the gas, then stops and looks back, it seems like it just happened naturally
>Shocker faces forwards again to continue on, we see his eyes widen in shock
>Hex is standing in the middle of the canyon, right in his way, he’s smiling (well, half-smiling) and pulls a noose out from behind his back
>Vultures are circling above the canyon now as cinematic black bars appear again
>We have a close up of Shocker’s eyes and then of Hex’s eyes
>Shocker ducks down a little in his seat as he revs his engine “Not this time, cowboy.”
>Shocker hits the gas and begins speeding towards Hex, only this time he has a gun ready that he’s holding out the window
>The Shocker Mobile is speeding at Hex, Shocker is about to fire his gun when Hex draws his gun and shoots the gun out of Shocker’s hand
>Shocker doesn’t lose control of his vehicle and continues speeding at Hex

>>90052333
>Hex has nowhere to run, so it comes as a surprise to Shocker that he’s still smiling, right up until Hex jumps up over the boulder that was hidden behind him in the middle of the canyon
>Shocker gets and oh shit face and tries to stop, he swerves and his car comes to a crashing halt as it gets trapped between the canyon walls and the boulder
>Shocker is struggling with his airbag when he hears a ‘click’ and realizes Hex has a gun to his head
>All he can do is mutter “Dammit...”

>Up at the top of the canyon, we see Beeper still watching the whole thing
>On the other side of the canyon we see Pym in his rover who has a collection of large rocks around him
>He’s watching the situation thorough a pair of binoculars “Huh, so his plan worked after all. Guess I should get Rover down there now.”
>FRANKAFRANKAFRANKAFRANKA
>Pym looks around with the nocs, “What the hell is making that sound?”
>The windshield of Pym’s Rover shatters to pieces as knives go flying through it
>Pym wasn’t in Rover when this happened, he was standing to the side “HOLY SHIT!”

>A man descends into the scene, he’s wearing a black shirt with a skull on it
>Everything around him gets darker, the shading becomes deeper, the lines get thicker, the color gets duller
>Narration boxes appear around him as he slides down the canyon wall, he’s self-narrating “This Wacky Races? Ridiculous. Just another farce by a corrupt administration to allow criminals and monsters to do whatever they want.”
>There’s another narration box that reads “Frank Castle – The Punisher”

>Flashback to when Loki called, Frank is still holding the phone “You’ve got some balls calling me, demon.”
>Loki on the phone: “Why so hostile, Frank? I didn’t win the election.”
>Frank: “No, but a mad man was still able to take the seat you were after. Same outcome.”
cont.
>>
>>90052360
>Loki: “From your point of view, maybe. But that’s exactly why I’m calling you. I’m sure you’ve seen the news and know who’s in the race.”
>Frank: “The insane, thrill seekers, criminals. All of them allowed to run wild without restraint.”
>Loki: “So why aren't ya doing anything about it? Does Nobody scare you?”
>The shadows around Frank deepen like his frown as something changes about him
>Frank slams the phone and the flashback ends as he picks up his guns

>Frank is now at the ground floor of the canyon and is walking towards Hex
>Hex still has one revolver up against Shocker’s head
>Frank: “Well, what are you waiting for? Pull the trigger.”
>Hex: “He’s worth double if I bring him in alive, and seeing how I’ve already gone through enough trouble, I’d rather collect the full bounty.”
>Frank: “Jonah Hex, you disappoint me. You bounty hunters are all the same, money is all you care about. All that separates someone like you from someone like him is one stray shot.”
>Hex: “I ain’t a charity nor a bleeding heart basket case.” Hex is motioning like he’s about to draw his other revolver “And I happen to know you’ve also got quite the bounty on your head, Mr. Castle.”
>The cinematic bars are back as we get a close up of Hex’s eyes
>Frank’s frowning face is deeply shaded
>Shocker’s face is still stuck in the airbag with a gun to his head, in one of Shocker’s hands is a rock that fell into his Shocker mobile
>Hex and Frank are still having a stand off, Shocker carefully opens a compartment under the dashboard and loads the rock into it
>It shoots out the front of his car via an air cannon, the silence of the showdown is broken and >Hex is distracted by the sound and turns to ram his gun down Shocker’s throat
>Shocker exclaims “Dammit!” as the gun is further pressed into him
cont.
>>
>>90052389
>Suddenly Hex is off balance, the man and the vehicle he was in have vanished and Hex’s gun is pressing into a rock that is now falling in mid air
>Shocker and his Shocker mobile are now on the other side of the bolder he was wedged between and is speeding away
>Frank has Hex dead to rights with a gun leveled on him
>Another large rock falls from above, it’s Pym, who looks mighty pissed off
>In the instant Frank was distracted Hex gets off a shot and relieves Frank of his knife gun by shooting it out of his hand
>Frank disappears in the dust saying “You’re not my target, so stay out of the way.”

>Hex is left standing alone in the canyon with no bounties
>Pym drives up in Rover “What the hell was all that about?”
>Hex angrily holsters his guns “Rival hunter.”
>Pym walks over and picks up the knife gun “What kind of piece of shit is this? This thing shot knives that shattered my windshield, bullet proof laminated glass, like a Church’s stained glass window? Glass specifically designed to NOT shatter like that?” Pym rolls the thing around in his hands “There’s nothing about this that makes sense. The knives wouldn’t fly straight, the propellant is no where near strong enough to send them all the way across the canyon. What is this, an air gun? It’d need to be a rail gun to even hope to make those shots.”
>The gun in Pym’s hands shakes a little bit before falling apart, as if nothing was holding the pieces together to begin with
>Pym lets out a flat “What?”
>Hex: “How observant of you. Lesson two of Pacing: Disruptions.”
>Pym is still confused as he’s squatting down looking at the pieces
>Hex continues “Once you get good enough at seeing things coming and setting up your own rhythm, you’ll be able to halt of the natural flow of things. This is what I call a ‘disruption’, unlikely events or down right impossibilities become possible as the natural flow of the universe tries to reassert itself.”
cont.
>>
>>90052415
>Pym is even more confused than ever
>Hex ignores the look on his face and continues “Stupid shit like this knife gun can work so long as no one stops to think about how it shouldn’t be able to, and if you have someone ensnared in your own rhythm, then they sure as hell won’t be thinking about ‘how’. You get it?”
>Pym scratches his head “Cowboy, did you hit your head?”
>Hex: “You wanted to know. Lie good enough and the universe might believe you over its own set of rules just long enough for you to exploit it.”
>Pym gets in Rover “So that guy was another pacing user?”
>Hex also gets into Rover “Could be. There’s all kinds of other bullshit abilities out there like MELODY, STYLES, and Stands. Could be any of those.”
>Pym starts the car “Now I just think you’re making shit up.”
>Hex adjusts his hat “I’ve lead an interesting life.”

>Cut back to Sam and Max who are in mid battle with Loki
>Sam is shooting at Loki using a rock as cover while Max is using his 「UP-SET ATTACK」 to send rocks and cacti flying in random directions in a way that isn’t particularly helpful
>Loki is dodging every shot as he just hangs in midair “Ladies, please, I only came here to make you an offer.”
>Sam: “Cut the crap Mr. Demon Prince, we know all about the forces of hell and the deals they sucker poor saps into.”
>Loki: “What? I was just gonna say I’d turn you back if you do me a favor.”
>Max is raving mad as he leaps into the air swinging his stand around like a bat “I’ll do you a favor! I’ll clip those overgrown eyebrows you call horns!”
>Max falls back to the ground as Loki dodges again
>Loki: “Oh, you are just adorable when you’re upset.”
>Max lands and turns to look up at Loki “Oh, so that was your plan all along.”
>Loki: “Well, not really but…”
>Max: “Instead of picking any woman on the globe, you go and turn us into dames for your sick fantasies!”
cont.
>>
>>90052451
>Loki is speechless, his mouth wide open
>Sam: “Fella, you give a new meaning to tricky dicky. In other circumstances, I would not criticize the fetishes of other people, but my Y chromosome wasn't compromised in those instances.”
>The sun is starting to set
>Sam: “And I’d assume that our ‘angel’ friend will be along any minute now to deliver divine punishment upon you!”
>Max: “Get smote!”
>Loki looks around in a panic, he sees some smoke in the distance as well as some fires lighting up in the creeping darkness
>He grits his teeth as his eyes widen before disappearing in a plume of green fire
>Sam: “Squirrely one, isn’t he?”
>Max: “Like you’d know anything about squirrels, Sam. You’ve always been terrible at catching them.”
>Both pairs of ears perk up as the sound of buzzing becomes ever louder
>Max: “Do you think he left us with a plague this time?”
>A vaguely humanoid figure emerges from behind the rocks, it appears to be comprised entirely of bees
>It takes a step towards them, then another, Sam and Max ready their weapons as it draws nearer
>The figure then poses, both arms going straight down
>Sam and Max exchange looks, but quickly look back to the mass as the bees suddenly disperse, flying off and away in all directions
>Sam and Max jump back and take cover in the DeSoto
>After the bees finish buzzing off, they see the outline of a man still walking towards the DeSoto
>It’s Jack, and he’s totally fine, not a sting on him
>Jack: “Thanks for waiting.” he lifts up a bucket of water and slowly pours it into the radiator
>Max is blinking over and over again, shaking her head “How, what, why, WHAT?”
>Jack finishes pouring the water in "I'm one of those rare people bees don't sting."
>Sam starts the DeSoto without issue “All right, we’re back in this.”
>They drive on with Max still looking stunned

And now we're going into the parts on the doc with Clarence's group.
>>
Alright, How many people Clarence and co try to convince before going with Haddock?
>>
>>90052700
At least a few.
They might approach Hex, but back off when they see the other half of his face.
Some others might just brush them off.
Haddock takes up the task of helping them and just as they're leaving it reveals if they would've asked for just a little bit longer they would've ended up asking Wander and Sylvia.

Though before all that we still need to work out the racer's approach to Aberdale and the placings. I think Rex placing in the top 3 here would be good.

Hex and Pym are still going to get involved in this, right? Because they were absent in the first checkpoint's action

>>
>>90053514
They fight the plant zombies.

I've noticed an unintentional pattern where they are the focus for the most part during the race segments while the stop overs focus on other things.
That'll change later as the developing plot finally catches up with them.
>>
But anyway, I do want some feedback on the rest of the "Dusty Trail" section.

I feel Hex's explanation of disruptions might be a bit off, and I'm not too sure about how I have Frank in all of this.

>>90054106
After the whole ordeal with the plants, the Blue Meanie could appear atop a hill and use his Stand on the whole town, Should he be introduced there or in Smallville?
>>
>>90054840
He's already been introduced, he was the one bringing Mr. Nobody his food during his broadcast right after Dick blew up the Golden Gate Bridge.

He'll get a proper introduction in Smallville I think.
>>
>>90054812
I think the disruption was basically a blank space where improbable shit can happen if the user knows how to properly manipulate the rhythm, while an untrained practitioner would just cause things to behave in an erratic way.

What comes first, Goofy falling in the trap or Joshua's camp getting wrecked?
>>
>>90055597
It could be that Shocker drives through Joshua's tent because he's avoiding the pitfalls Dick placed.

Goofy could at first avoid them, but then hit on that's very near the finish line.
>>
>>90055703
>Racers are crashing left and right with all the debris littered in the road, some are falling into pits
>Shocker goes at full speed through the camp, blasting with his gauntlets the debris that the other racers are knocking
>A tent is standing in front of Shocker: "Outta my way!". As he rams the tent, a big object smashes the front of his car and break its windows
>The Shocker mobile is covered with the tent's cloth, which is ripped apart with his gauntlets. Shocker looks through one of the mirrors and notices a big lump bouncing in the road behind him "Holy crap, did I hit a cow?"
>>
>>90056375
Sounds good. Then he sees Dick in front of him and starts shooting because Dick is being a real dick with all these traps and shit.

We might need to make a slight addition to the opening scene of Clarence, Jeff, and Sumo before they enter The Beasts lair before the racers get to town and say the sun is just coming up.

I've been working under the notion that they left San Fransokyo at about 10am or 12pm, meaning they'd be arriving at Aberdale before 8am local time (gotta account for time zones, Mr. Nobody said 22 hours not, X'o clock local time).
>>
>>90057239
>Shocker spots a familiar blue car in the distance. Cue flashback of Dick blowing up the Golden Gate bridge
>Shocker: "You!" He starts glowing with energy as he grabs one of the stakes of the tent
>Dick: "Oh, it's pincushion man again! Let's go Muttley" Dick turns on his car and accelerates
>Shocker: I'm getting really sick of your crap...
>He loads the stake into the car's cannon and fires it towards Dick's car
>Shocker: "REALLY SICK!" Shocker's car warps next to the Mean Machine
>Dick: I like that trick of yours, boy, but you still need a couple of decades to be on my level!
>>
>>90057695
Should Shocker force Dick into one of his own pitfalls or does Dick fall behind through some other means?
>>
>>90058093
His car is probably damaged during the fight with Shocker, forcing him to do some repairs in the road
>>
>>90058178
Shocker's car should already have some damage when they clash.

If Pym and Hex are still in the top 20, they could also come in during that fight and force Shocker to focus more on getting the finish line then fighting.
>>
>>90058283
So Pym and Hex arrive right after Shocker?
>>
>>90058617
If they're right on his heels, yeah.

I guess Shocker mocks them again and Clarence's group see Hex's angry face right after.
>>
>>90058706
Ok, let's see:
-Spongebob gets first place
-Rex arrives third
-Dick ends in 19th place
who else?
>>
>>90059594
Who gets second? If there's a huge clusterfuck, I could see Shocker getting second, but I think maybe Navis getting second would be more interesting so it establishes a rivalry between her and Rex.

Who should end up in the top 30 (the point racket) who didn't place that high last time?
>>
>>90059687
>Navis getting second would be more interesting so it establishes a rivalry between her and Rex
So he beats her in the next stage and they keep clashing until Rex is killed by Melusine? And is the top 20 that gets the tank of pillar propane
>>
>>90059780
Top 20 gets the pillar propane, but the POINT cut off is at 31st place.

The points are totaled at the end of the race to see who gets the big cash prize.
>>
>>90059826
Looking at the list of racers, Mean Angel, Asterix and Obelix, Diesel, Deedee, Krosh, Spike Witwicky and Jiggy didn't appear in the last checkpoint's classification table
>>
>>90060115
We didn't even fill that in completely.

And Diesel got 31st at the first checkpoint.
>>
>>90060552
There are other characters in the Stand doc to fill those tables, is not necessary that they appear outside those.
>>
>>90061177
Any suggestions for filling in the table for leg 1?

Right now leg 2 is looking like
1st Spongebob
2nd Navis
3rd Rex

Then it's all TBD

19th Dick Dastardly

Mr Garrison with his IT has been suggested a couple of times along with having a character with a role similar to Norisuke I, becoming relevant in part 8.
>>
>>90062141
So would he just be a name on the table without any seen involvement?
>>
>>90062202
He could end up becoming a victim of one of the many hazards in the race, like Tulio's army or the brawl before CN City
>>
I'm making some updates to the first paragraph of the Spooky Kids without a Dog arc.

>The sun has just barely lifted itself over the horizon
>Three kids are walking up a steep incline on a worn path hugging a cliff face, in the distance there are dust trails heading towards the town seen below
>The first boy who speaks has a shaved head “Are we there yet? I don’t want to miss the action when the wacky guys get here.”
>A narration box appears reading “Ryan ‘Sumo’ Sumouski – Elementary Student”
>The second boy who speaks has a square head “Are you sure this path is even safe? It looks like no one has used it in years.”
>A narration box appears reading “Jeff Randell – Average Elementary Student”
>The third boy, who is leading them, speaks “Fellas, come on, what I’m about to show you is way more interesting than some old race.”
>A narration box appears reading “Clarence Wendle – Elementary Student”

The rest is the same up to when we cut back to the racers still approaching the town.
>>
>>90062589
I'm also doing some clean up with the stuff that happens after that. Typos, grammar, that sort of stuff. I'll up date the doc when I do the big update when this thread is dead.

>>90062560
We do still need to establish all the characters who end up getting killed.

Should we have a scene of the Punisher in the desert with some dead racers around him at some point?
>>
>>90062837
>Should we have a scene of the Punisher in the desert with some dead racers around him at some point?
Perhaps, could be before he arrives to CN City
>>
>>90062955
I was thinking it'd be shown sometime around when they're in Aberdale to show what Frank has been doing since losing track of Shocker.
>>
>>90061660
Looking at the numbers, that would put Navis at 535 points and Rex at 530 points.

Let's say
4th The Wizard
5th Haddock
6th Chameleon

10th Cybersix (twice now she's gotten 10th)

14th Pym
15th Hex
>>
>>90063283
Is Wander going to help Goofy getting to the finish line? If so, Goofy would classify in the place after Wander and Sylvia
>>
>>90064058
Are they even in the top 30?

Though given there are thousands of racers, are the leaders just way, way out in front?
I get the feeling some racers are intentionally staying way back, just so they can stay in the race without fighting for the top spots for their own motives.
>>
>>90064297
They ended in 6th and 7th place in the first checkpoint, earning 300 and 250 points respectively

>I get the feeling some racers are intentionally staying way back, just so they can stay in the race without fighting for the top spots for their own motives
Letting the racers in the leading group kill each other sounds like a safe way to remain in the race and win it.
>>
>>90064565
Well, it also becomes apparent that you can hang back and not earn any points at all until the later stages and then focus on killing or disabling the point leaders.
That's what happens during the European leg.

It's a valid, completely within the rules strategy.
With how the points are distributed, you'd even think it was encouraged to target anyone who placed first in any leg of the race.

And I mean do they finish this leg of the race in the top 30. When I say "top 30" I don't mean overall in the points, I mean for a specific leg of the race in the position they finished in.
>>
>>90064831
They probably stop to help the racers that fell in Dick's traps but still end among the top 30 if doing good deeds helps them like when they went to the factory in Hill Valley.
>>
>>90065441
But how does it help them in this particular situation when the finish line is not that far away?

I could see them finishing in the 20s, but not any better than 25th and 26th.
>>
>>90065759
It could help him later, during the Beast's attack if they get involved
>>
>>90065981
Well what other things do we need to happen before they get to the finish line?

I'd assume when we cut back to the racers we'll be getting fanfarefrom TOM, then we get a shot of the leaders with dust trails sprawling out behind them, then one of them disappears, then another, and another until we see they've fallen into pitfalls filled with cacti.
More commentary. Close up of Dick twirling his mustache as he's revealed way out in front again stopped, hidden behind a bush.
Shocker swerves to avoid them and hits the tent Josh was in.
Shocker and Dick clash.

What does that consist of?

Spongebob should smash right through a pitfall, Goofy is out in the lead, the finish line is right there, he falls into a pit and does his yell.
Spongebob takes the win followed by the other leaders. Navis should just manage to steal 2nd place from Rex somehow.

The others in the top 20 cross the finish line.

Wander and Sylvia are busy helping whoever fell into the pits. At least one of them should be of the "honor demands I repay this favor" mentality as they speed to attempt a recovery or speed them along to the finish line somehow.
>>
>>90066362
>What does that consist of?
Each one attempt to make the other crash, Shocker uses his gauntlets and Stand while Dick uses the gadgets built into his car.
>>
>>90066824
Can you give me any sort of play by play?

And I'm re-thinking this.
Goofy should be ahead of Spongebob, fall into the pitfall right before the finish line, then gets run over by Spongebob's rock, flattening him further into the spines. Wander sees, this freaks out a little and rushes to his aide, pulling him out of his crushed Jalopy and across the finish line ahead of himself, then rushes him to medical aide. Goofy shakes it off well enough and later has his encounter with Spongebob while he's trying to free his crushed car. Wander shows up to help Goofy and they end up fighting off the plant zombies together.

It feels like I'm Mr. Maroon of Maroon Cartoons at this point when he's listening to the sound effects of the cartoon in production and is going "no no no, wait until he gets up, THEN drop the safe on his head".

They would ram their cars against the other in an attempt to make it lose control. The wheels on Dick's car could deploy blades like Dan's stolen car.

Who is arriving first, Shocker or Dick?

I guess we're the only ones left, lads.

How long have you been with this project?
>>
>>90067319
Shocker.

Dick has to get screwed out of any potential big win in the race.

>>90067473
Since part 1.

I've felt I've had FAR too much creative control since part 5.
>>
>>90067473
Part 3 or 4, I dunno

>>90067693
Then Shocker could charge his gauntlets and blow one of the Mean Machine's wheels, the constant blasts would also take their toll on Dick's car
>>
>>90067870
I keep forgetting, does Dick have a stand?
>>
>>90067693
What would be the best way to take some of that control from you? What's important to right now?
>>
>>90068076
nope, just his guile and gadgets

For someone else to actually write big chunks of the story or at least come up with play-by-plays of what is happening next.
Part 7 has been considerably easier to write than parts 5 and 6 just because there's so much story already plotted out.
None of this "OK guys, this is where we're at and there's fuck all discussion about how we get from here to the next well thought out part of the plot" with maybe one person ever replying.

Part 7 still has big gaps in places where I could really use more discussion. Like the whole Smallville part. How's that happening? I have some ideas of how to tackle it, but more input is always appreciated so I don't have to BS entire arcs on my own.

I figure Smallville will be rather self-contained with a high focus on comedy from the Blue Meanie essentially being Robbie Rotten and Wander and the Beetles vanquishing the malaise he spreads throughout the town with the power of music.
Think rainbow colored skies and part 4 non-sense.

Right now I'm hoping someone else will do more with Aberdale. The notes for this section are a mess with repetition and need better organizing and some culling.

>>90068130
Awesome, I love stand-less characters holding their own against punch ghost bullshit.
>>
>>90068323
Speaking of Aberdale, here is something for when they find Clarence's doll, needs some improvement:
>Clarence’s group arrives to a graveyard. Sumo and Jeff stop to notice that all the graves have been opened and emptied, while Clarence just runs around
>Jeff: Following that guy was a stupid idea
>Sumo: What? Do you want to miss the big fight?
>Jeff: And that’s the other thing, I don’t think some random sailor can beat that Beast
>Sumo: Hey, that guy is rude enough to eat a mummified organ, he’s gonna be alright
>Jeff: What does that have to do with fighting a literal monster? He may as well catch a disease for eating that!
>Clarence: Lil’ Buddy! Hey guys, look, he is safe and sound!
>Clarence run towards the Lil’ Buddy, who is lying on the ground at the edge of the graveyard
>Jeff: Uh… Clarence, you didn’t leave your doll here
>Clarence tries to lift the doll, but is rooted to the ground “A little help here? Seems to be tangled in some roots”
>Sumo: some roots…hold on
>He manages to rip it off the ground, without noticing that the roots coiled inside the doll’s back, and proceeds to hug it
>“I found you” A disembodied voice rings in their ears
>Clarence: Uh, did you say something?
>Both shake their heads nervously. The doll begins to squirm in Clarence’s arms
>Clarence: What’s happening? Can be?
>Jeff: Drop that doll!
>Clarence: “Guys, my doll…has come to life!” He squeezes the doll harder “yay, just like Pinocchio”
>Jeff: Not this nonsense again
>Clarence: Must be a side effect of that sorcerer’s magic, Lil’ buddy caught a bit of it and became a real boy
>Jeff: Oh, so he’s a wizard now. Wasn't he supposed to be an alien?
>Clarence: No Jeff; aliens can’t do magic, is basic knowledge
>Sumo: Yeah, and you are supposed to be the smart one…hehehe
>A barbed tendril emerges from the doll’s mouth while Clarence is not looking, startling both Sumo and Jeff

cont.
>>
>>90067473
I started around part 5-6 more or less I think.

I don't post as often because I like to suggest ideias mostly for the base stuff and I can't write nowhere as well as some other anons here.

>Jeff: Clarence!
>Sumo: woah!
>Clarence: lil’ buddy…
>The doll gets on its feet and slowly advances towards the group
>Sumo: “Stay away, you freak!” He grabs a nearby stick and swings it against the doll
>Jeff: Clarence, are you alright?
>Clarence: Yeah, I think so. Listen lil’ buddy, you might me a real boy now but that doesn’t mean…
>Jeff: Dammit Clarence, that thing isn’t…
>Sumo: Quiet you two!

I'm still working on the following part
>>
>>90069004
>>90069038
It's good so far.

So I'm thinking Haddock eats the liver, then gets a vision, then goes to the graveyard, which isn't the same place where The Beast was since it has moved since.
His vision takes him to the graveyard and then to the house near it.

>>90069021
I've actually been using this project to improve at writing.
I'm still not great at it, but at least now it comes to me easier.

For some reason action scenes come really easy to me.
>>
>>90069126
The doc needs some clearing up: it mentions a graveyard, a crypt and the Monster House, and the original lair seems to be another location.
>>
>>90069832
OK, here's the break down.

Clarence leads Jeff and Sumo up a cliff face into a cave. That's where the urns are.

Haddock drinks the liver, gets a vision, runs off to the graveyard. The boys follow him trying to get him to go to the cave.

The Beast in the house over looking the graveyard. He changed locations and Haddock's vision guided him to where the Beast now is.
>>
>>90069963
Alright, so I'm thinking that Clarence's group runs to Haddock while being chased by the doll, they go through the emptied graves and Sumo comes up with the idea of trapping the lil' buddy in one of the graves. The kids manage to trap the doll, but it quickly burrows through the ground and reappears in front of them, further swollen by the plants inside it. Roots in its feet extends towards the nearby flowers and plants turning them into monsters, then the Beast's assault on the town starts.

And all the time, Clarence thinks that his doll is actually alive
>>
>>90070398
Sounds good. Haddock should get a glimpse of a pair of lights shining from the windows of the hose and proceed inside.

At what point does The Beast animate the house?
>>
>>90070437
Are there any other racers that go to the house? He could animate it when more people arrive to his hideout, or the house springs to life when Haddock appears and devours him, but Haddock thwarts its attempts of chewing him and manages to get inside relatively unscathed.
>>
>>90070539
Oh, maybe Haddock makes a drunken speech about how it's his duty to confront evil and looks kind of cool, only for as soon as he enters the house it comes to life and it looks like he's been eaten and killed instantly. Then all of the monster begin to rise from the ground as the house "breaths" and begins to try consuming the boys who run into town ahead of the monster hoard.

We can cut back to Haddock later who is still alive inside of the house as he bursts out of a root cocoon maybe using his stand for the first time or because his blood alcohol levels are too much to feed on.
>>
>>90069038
>>90069004
Looks good. Sumo, Jeff and Clarence are still pretty well recognizable, though I feel Sumo is a little too quiet and tame compared to the other two.
>>
>>90069038
>>90070640
I think they'd get on Jeff's case for saying "dammit".

Well, I'm gonna go to bed. Maybe the thread will still be up when I wake up. It always seems to die when progress is actually happening.
>>
>>90070620
>Haddock: Ha! Like Jonah against the whale, I'm unharmed! I...where I am?
>Beast: Looks like manners are unknown to the men of this era
>Haddock:What's that? Is someone here?
>Beast: But guests are guests after all. Take care of him, my children!
Then a mass of vines assault Haddock from every side

>>90070640
Yeah, I'm having trouble coming up with lines for him
>>
A random thought: when Clarence holds the funeral for his doll, he appears with a makeshift bagpipe and scottish attire, Jeff is about to tell him how ridiculous the situation is before the Blue Meanie's Stand takes effect.
>>
>>90070620
So, the house will also join the attack?
>>
Why Shocker declines Chameleon's offer?
>>
>>90074183
I think it'll be bringing up the rear of the attack. Once Josh is beaten they think they've won and then the house arrives on the scene.

>>90075862
Probably because it would mean Shocker wouldn't be able to win the race, and he really wants that prize money.
>>
Here's the part where Joshua's leg mutates:
>Joshua: Hold on a second; This is a wooden leg, it shouldn't itch
>Joshua lifts his pant leg and discovers that his peg leg is now a beating mass crawling through his leg
>Joshua: No no no no! Help!
>Cut to an elderly couple inside a nearby building
>Old man: Did you say something, honey?
>Old lady: No, sweetie
>Joshua screams again, the old lady looks through the window
>Old lady: Is that weird kid again... what was his name, Joffrey?
>Old man: Jerome (more screams) Should we call the police again?
>Old lady: No, he will get bored soon...there
>Cut back to Joshua, who is now wrapped inside a cocoon of plant matter.
>>
>>90076582
What was going to be Chameleon's disguise?
>>
>>90077359
So who are the old couple?

>>90078173
We never decided on one.

Was there ever a famous disguise he was well known for? Like a big dramatic reveal that it was him?
>>
>>90078465
>Was there ever a famous disguise he was well known for?
Not that I'm aware of, but he has impersonated Peter Parker several times
>>
>>90078629
If he was racing using Peter's face, that would probably enrage Aunt May to the point where she would've killed him much sooner.

We could always just give him a disguise face like Tad Strange's, a face so normal you wouldn't remember it as soon as you blink.
>>
>>90079163
So he is racing with that identity or he change his disguise once in a while?
>>
>>90079301
He's stuck with whatever identity he entered the race with, but changes it whenever he's at a checkpoint so he can freely attack other racers if ordered to do so without any threat of disqualification.
>>
>>90079393
Should we show how he gets a new face from one of his victims?
>>
>>90080065
In CN City it would work. He grabs a new identity from someone and then get it knocked off of his face during the fight.

Should we alter the earlier parts to Tad Strange where we mention The Chameleon and have him do a big reveal to Shocker in Aberdale?
>>
>>90078465
Just some old people from Aberdale, they aren't important
>>
>>90080775
I don't like doing that.

Anyone "on screen" should be someone, even if they have no real role.
>>
>>90080750
Could be after he gets the ultimatum from Aunt May; if he is currently in an hotel, he could take the face of one of the employees.
>>
>>90080885
There is a handful of characters in Clarence that are elderly (Clarence's grandpa included), but they are all minor characters and mostly old ladies.
>>
>>90080949
Yeah, that works. That poor bellhop.

>>90081762
So just a couple of old people from Aberdale.

His grandfather could work for that, he's in this section already, but his grandmother is insane and I think deceased.
If she rises from the grave as a plant zombie, who should be the one to burn her?
>>
>>90082354
He probably burns the monster down without noticing it was her corpse
>>
>>90082569
Seymour could do it as his big entrance to the fight wearing some propane tech or with a Propane Nightmare.
>>
>>90083245
Maybe a flamethrower/battle armor, I'm not sure if the Strickland's branch in Aberdale should have Propane Nightmares at their disposal.
>>
>>90083449
OK, makes sense. Right now I'm doing some organizing for the Aberdale section to stream line the outline a little more before proceeding with finishing up the race. I'll post what I have of the more condensed and culled notes when I'm done.
>>
>>90082354
>That poor bellhop
Or maid, like the one from Family Guy

>If she rises from the grave as a plant zombie
Weren't the monsters supposed to be plant creatures with the corpses tangled in them?
>>
>>90085158
Yes, but their feed on the corpses, so it's like they're using them as puppets.

It's just an idea I'm kicking around.

Anyway, I've managed to organize the entire Aberdale stuff into something workable as an outline, but there's a lot of it.

I'll try to finish up the race portion later tonight, then post the first bit of notes that need to be expanded for the Beast plot.
>>
How much Strickland knows about the Corpse at this point?
>>
>>90085944
They know there's something other than jawbreakers and natural ability now granting people stands, but they don't know anything of the corpse at this point.

Navis' mission is to look into that.
>>
>>90086186
They could be aware of what happened in San Fransokyo with Dan, though they may not know some of the details. Should they have president Nobody under suspect?
>>
>>90086695
They suspect a great deal since the race is causing a lot of destruction and attracting a lot of stand users.

They probably chalked up the San Fransokyo riot to a clash between stand users.
>>
>>90087602
Did they discovered that Loki was a demon from the Warner Bros?
>>
>>90088485
I don't think they know about that. The monster of San Fransokyo drained Dan and destroyed any evidence of demonic magic other than its own.
>>
After the stuff in the doc with Sumo looking at the racers approaching town, after they have the urn

>We cut back to the racers who are getting closer to town
>“Welcome back to the Wacky Races, Toonami faithful. As always, I’m your announcer, TOM, and let’s get right into the action. The leading pack of racers have already made it across the desert and are speeding their way towards Aberdale.”
>We get a shot of the leaders with dust trails sprawling out behind them, then one of them disappears, then another, and another
>“Whoa, someone get a close up of whatever just happened!”
>Close up of pits cars have crashed into, the pits are filled with cacti
>“Looks like someone has dug up the final stretch, racers are falling into pitfalls one after another, who could be behind such an underhanded tactic?”
until we see they've fallen into pitfalls filled with cacti.
>Cut to a close up of Dick twirling his mustache as he's revealed way out in front again stopped, hidden behind a bush.

>Cut to Shocker who swerves to avoid pits opening up all around him
>He spots a campsite “Looks safe to me!” and charges right into it
>Shocker goes at full speed through the camp, blasting any random supplies out of his way with his gauntlets, the debris flies into the paths of some other racers who swerve to avoid it
>Shocker is coming up on the tent "Outta my way!" as he rams the tent, a big object smashes the front of his car, cracking its windows
>The Shocker mobile is covered with the tent's cloth, which he rips apart using his gauntlets. Shocker looks through one of the mirrors and notices a big lump bouncing in the road behind him "Holy crap, did I hit a cow?"
>Shocker spots a familiar blue car in the distance. Cue flashback of Dick blowing up the Golden Gate bridge
>Shocker: "You!" He starts glowing with energy as he grabs one of the stakes of the tent from his hood
>Dick: "Oh, it's pincushion man again! Let's go Muttley!" Dick turns on his car and accelerates
co-
>>
That non-green line shouldn't be there.
>>90089142
>Shocker: “I'm getting really sick of your crap…”
>He loads the stake into the car's cannon and fires it towards Dick's car
>Shocker: "REALLY SICK!" Shocker's car warps next to the Mean Machine where the spike was
>Dick: “I like that trick of yours, boy, but you still need a couple of decades to be on my level!”
>Their cars crash into each other as they try to force the other to wipe out

>Goofy is out in the lead, the finish line is right there, he smiles to himself at how well he’s doin
>WHAM he falls into a pit full of cacti and does his yell then gets run over by Spongebob's rock, flattening him further into the spines.
>From further back in the pack Wander sees this and redirects Sylvia to Goofy’s location with a concerned panicked look on his face

>Shocker lets out a shock wave from his gauntlets that throws Dick’s Mean Machine into a spin before he speeds ahead of him
>Dick: “Drat, drat, drat! Triple drat!”

>Back at the finish line
>TOM: “Spongebob ‘Dirty Dan’ Squarepant crosses the finish line, he’s claimed first place again!”
>Spongebob is doing another victory screech as he slows to a stop
>TOM: “And it looks like… yes, it is! Navis has narrowly claimed second place, Rex comes in third!”
>More racers crossing, Hex and Pym included

>Wander and Sylvia are quickly pulling Goofy out of his crushed Jalopy and across the finish line ahead of themselves, then rushes him to medical aide

>Sam and Max cross in the middle of the third pack minutes later

OK, time for placings.

>>90089864

>>
>>90089980

Perhaps, there will still be four empty spaces in the first table

Here's the first batch of notes we need to expand for Aberdale.

>Prizes are given out to the racers
>Seymour Wendell (Clarence's grandfather) appears in the ceremony wearing an ill-fitting suit
>He keeps forgetting his speech, resorting to read the notes written on his palm
>He’s a local representative of Strickland, there to hand down the prizes and greet the racers.
>the prize for the top 20 who make it to Aberdale first is pillar propane from Strickland.

>Clarence, Jeff, and Sumo are running around asking for help
>They might approach Hex, but back off when they see the other half of his face
>They try for Navis, but she’s with the race committee and Clarence backs away when he sees who is in charge (his granddad)

>Navis has a chat with the folks at Strickland since, officially, she is being sponsored by them in the race
>She also reports on what she’s seen in the race so far
>Strickland would be aware that there is some strange material other than stand jawbreakers that can grant stands.
>They'd have been looking into it since the WB fell, but haven't been able to act on it until recent years with Bobby routing all the corruption out of the foundation after the Belle Reve incident.
>The corpse parts are probably something they're working to learn about and recover to prevent an influx of more criminal stand users.
>Navis' job in the race is to gather information on whatever this stand granting material is; Strickland doesn’t even know it's a corpse.

>Rex brushes Clarence’s group off
>They find Haddock who takes the urn from Sumo thinking it's someone bringing him another drink and downs the contents
>he gets the vision after downing the liver and is compelled to confront The Beast in part by it.
>The other part being some kids asked him to fight a monster and he's not one to back away from something like that.
>As they walk away, Wander is revealed from behind Haddock’s large form

Take this one chunk at a time.
>>
>>90091008
We kind of need to fill those spots in so we know who has what number of points.

Can't just leave them blank since then someone might fill them in with one of the racers later, then a bunch of stuff will need to be retroactively edited to account for it.
>>
Filling things in.

23rd Robotman
24th Crazy Jane
25th Racer Dee
26th Spike Witwicky
27th Mojo Jojo
28th Sir Topham Hatt
29th Mean Angel
30th Jiggy
>>
>>90091060
Who is gonna be the one that gives the briefing to Navis in Strickland?

>>90091677
I forgot about Racer Dee, should we use the Stand that she has in the doc?
>>
>>90091726
Since we've upped Seymour's status, he can do it. Just say he has trouble talking in front of crowds.

And as for Racer Dee, I guess we can. I'm not sure if she'll make a proper appearance, I just needed names to fill in the slots. I'm still working on the second leg's rankings. I don't want it to be the same characters every time, so some other random names would be appreciated.
>>
>>90091852
So after the ceremony, Clarence's grandpa runs to the backstage, loosens his tie and complains about the event
>Seymour: Thank goodness that stupid show is over! Those guys were eating me with their stares…
>Navis: Mr. Wendell
>Seymour: Oh, now what? I told you to not put me in front of a crowd…Oh, it’s you
>Navis: Yeah, it’s me…should I give my report now or when you feel better?
>Seymour: Just follow me to my office

Then it either goes directly to the exposition in Strickland or the racers doing stuff in their off-time
>>
>>90092527
It'll go to Clarence's group running around, when Clarence sees his grandpa is with Navis he'll redirect them somewhere else, then we'll follow Navis to where the briefing conversation takes place.

Then back to Clarence's group.

>But the ones without those capsules... they probably have to sleep in their vehicles to keep anyone from messing with them.

>Goofy is trying to pull his car out of the ditch enough to apply the capsule when one of the cacti turns into a hand and asks him about Spongebob
>Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, the third time it's enemy action.

>Clarence and his friends are cornered by one of the plant monsters
>Jeff: It’s over. It’s all over! We will be food for some kind of monster, and the whole town is going to meet the same fate!
>Clarence: And I will never see my Lil’ Buddy again!
>“Dang it, Creendence” An imposing armored figure appears behind them, it has the Strickland logo in its forehead
>Clarence: Grandpa!
>Jeff: T-that’s your grandfather? Mr. Wendell?

>Seymour: “This place ain't safe for you kids to play around” He puts himself between the kids and the creature “Run to a safe place. Let the adults take care of these punks”
> The plant monster looks puzzled at the newcomer, but it gets in a battle stance and makes and angry noise with what can be assumed is its mouth
>Seymour: Get behind me, kids! (internally) I hope I remember how to operate this darn thing
>Jeff: I think we should listen to your grandfather, Clarence
>Sumo: I think we should watch how your grandfather kicks his butt, Clarence
>Clarence gives Sumo a thumbs up, Jeff stares angrily at both
>Seymour stands in front of the plant creature, shaking inside the armor “C’mon Seymour, you can do this”.
>The monster charge at Seymour, who also assumes a battle stance, pointing at the monster with one of his arms
>Sumo: Finish him!
>Seymour: “Contact!” A streak of flames shoots out of one of the armor’s hands, incinerating the creature “Oh yeah, that’s the power of propane right in your ugly face, you spooky salad”
>>
>>90094016
And then Lil buddy catches up with them again and Clarence goes full retard getting in the way of burning it.

>>90094016
>Sumo and Clarence start cheering for Seymour
>Seymour: Didn’t ya hear me? This place ain’t safe!
>Jeff: I couldn't agree more with you, Mr. Wendell, but they never listen to me
>Seymour: “I got this under cont…” Before he could finish, another plant monster appears out of nowhere and tackles him “Bwaaaah!”
> The monster throws Seymour to the ground and starts pounding his armor, immobilizing his arms with its vines
>Seymour: Oh you filthy…These guys learn fast. Think, Seymour, there was another feature in this armor…Let’s see, how it was activated? Oh right
>The armor sprays a gas in the monster’s face. Clarence and Sumo giggle like idiots
>Jeff: What’s so funny about…
>A click is heard and an explosion envelopes both Seymour and the monster. The kids are knocked back by the blast
>Sumo: Awesome!
>Jeff: No, not awesome. Clarence, your grandpa…
>Clarence: “Is fine” He points at Seymour who gets up, his armor slightly singed
>Seymour: I told ya…that I have this…under control

>>90094122
Should they run to the town now or stay in that place despite Seymour's warnings?
>>
>>90094821
They're about to leave when little buddy emerges, then Clarence starts getting in the way.

Is this taking place in the graveyard of down the street after the kids have been running for a bit? I have a preference for the latter since I've been doing some re-arranging in the notes and also some of the stuff in this thread.
Like how after they trap Lil Buddy in a grave, then Haddock goes into the house, then the monsters come out from the ground.
Lil Buddy re-emerges later.
>>
>>90094949
I don't know, I have been following the previous order in the doc. Rearrange it as it seems fit.
>>
>>90095346
I re-arranged it a lot on my offline version to make it flow better. In short, that part goes like this in the current revision I have.

-They get to the graveyard
-Trap little buddy in a grave
-Haddock goes into the house
-boys think he's dead
-plant zombies rise (lil buddy can rise here or later, later might be better)
-boys flee into the streets, enter grandpa

Perhaps Seymour's suit runs low on propane, forcing him to retreat so he can restock his armor.

How does Clarence end up burning his doll?
>>
>>90096520
If he goes to refuel then maybe Clarence throws a tank of propane in an attempt to prevent lil buddy from being burned and it somehow blows up in the doll's face since it wasn't a tank for holding, but a tank for exploding.
>>
Will Jack show signs of his Style during the fight with the plant monsters?
>>
>>90097013
I think he should. Seymour should notice what he's able to do with bees and tell him some stuff about styles before he leaves.

Not sure how effective bees are against plant zombies, but one of the ideas I jotted down in the notes I have is that a STYLE user could potentially purge the Beast's infestation if the host is still living. Haven't worked out how yet.
>>
>>90097150
>Seymour: Hey you, the guy with the towel for cape, you have a Style!
>Jack: Oh, thank you sir, eh, you also have style…your armor is really stylish
>Seymour: No, you knucklehead, I’m talking about an ancient fighting technique that is dormant in you
>Jack: Please don’t be another weirdo like Sam and Max
>Seymour: I saw you back there; the bees surrounded you like you were their honeycomb when you remained still in a pose
>Jack: Well, I’m a beekeeper, so bees usually…
>Seymour: Only through controlled posing you can harness the true potential of your Style!
>>
>>90097530
Yeah, that's good. Maybe he gives Jack a Strickland handbook on it with illustrations for beginner posing.

I'll try to weave the first set of notes for this section into story tomorrow once I'm done with all the stuff I need to do.

Hopefully the thread will make it through the night.
>>
>>90097693
>Seymour: Here's a reissue of the old Strickland's manual of Posing and Style. However, if you survive the race, I highly recommend you to join Strickland in order to hone your skills to his max potential
>Jack: Very well, thank you…wait, survive? I mean, the race looks tough, but I don't think that it would go to such extremes
>Seymour: Oh, you have no idea what lurks under the surface
And after Jack leaves, Seymour has a brief exchange with Navis
>Navis: I'm not gonna babysit your new finding
>Seymour: I didn't ask you to do it, but he's a potential asset for the Foundation
>>
>>90096653
Clarence could make him waste his ammo when he gets in the way between Seymour and the lil' buddy. He could also make a silly speech trying to appeal to his doll, leading Sumo, Jeff and Seymour to react in a different way.
>>
From whom does Joshua avenges?
>>
>>90052303
Nice
>>
>>90085216
> Clarence: That monster you just torched was grandma
>Seymour: What? Oh, she really was. At least she finally stopped pretending to be human, huh?
>>
>>90098189
Jack would probably think it's all nonsense until he meets Old Jack, then he begins practicing in earnest.

>>90098834
The only thing keeping the monster from eating him are the flames still lingering around.

>>90100297
Josh would want to go after Shocker, he attacks Pym and Hex when he overhears them talking about Shocker.

>>90103159
Huh, brutal.
>>
>>90103521
So, Should Shocker fight the monster Joshua or just run away?
>>
>>90104109
He might not ever encounter him.

I don't think Shocker will be involved in any way in fighting the plant zombies outside of just defending himself.
>>
How does bees repel plant zombies?
>>
>>90105190
I think they would work more like distractions
>>
>>90091060
>Rex is standing in the street next to his vehicle, showing off to impress the locals
>Clarence's group approaches him and asks for help, he agrees to listen to their problem
>skip to the end of their story, Rex didn't believed an ounce of it and he tell them to stop wasting his time. He drives away
>Sumo gets angry and throws a rock, breaking one of the lights in Rex' motortank
>The group runs away and hides in the bar where Haddock is drinking
>>
>>90105222
Yeah, I can see that.

>>90106043
I'm imagining a Batman twirl screen cut to when they start telling him the story to when he brushes them off.
>>
>>90106944
How is he going to use his Style? Will he just unconsciously strike a pose and attract the bees from the nearby woods?
>>
>>90107275
Remember that there are man made beehives in Clarence's backyard.

While the plants are attacking, Jack could use those bees to distract the plants, and while he's doing so, he's unconsciously moving in such a way that directs the bees and keeps them from stringing him or other people.
>>
>>90107777
So he simply steals some kid's beehives when no one's watching? kek
>>
>>90107991
I'd say quite a few people were watching.
>>
>>90104289
After Joshua's monster fully matures, he could spot Shocker and guide the monster to attack him, but shifts direction when the Beast gives him an order from afar.
>>
Should Bobby cameo at one point when Strickland and Navis are involved in the plot?
>>
>>90110666
Maybe on the other end of a phone call during Navis and Seymour's initial meeting.

I'm about to start piecing all the stuff together starting with Seymour's welcoming of the racers to Aberdale.
>>
>>90108817
>Sam and Max spot Jack entering in Clarence's backyard and taking the beehives
>They consider to arrest him, remember Nobody's decree but wonder if it holds up during this kind of emergency
>They keep arguing as Jack makes off with the beehives
>>
>>90089180
A table will be added to the doc much later.

>Some time passes
>TOM: “And that’s it folks, the time limit is up. Any racers who haven’t made it here by now are out of the race. The checkpoint prize should be announced any minute now.”
>We cut to a stage where a man with gray hair wearing an ill-fitting suit and tinted glasses steps up to the podium, he sweating a little bit
>He begins “Well, thank you all for coming and… uh… welcome to Aberdale.”
>He is noticeably lacking in energy compared to the last awards
“I know ya’ll must be tired from your trip, so I’ll try to keep this short. For the top...” he pauses and looks at his hand, we see he’s holding some note cards “20 of ya we here at Strickland would like to give ya’ll a canister of our famous pillar propane.”
>A display behind him come up showing a plane capsule, a small size propane tank
>“Now I know it’s ain’t as flashy as some of the other stuff you’ll be seeing, but uh… even a small canister of this here pillar propane can keep a grill burning for years when, uh, use properly.”
>He’s still sweating a bit, the crowd looks a lot bigger than it did beforehand
>“And you can also use it to power combustion engines if you’re lookin’ fer a way to go faster.”
>The crowd lightens up a bit, they’re less critical of him now as the racers who placed in the top 20 come up to collect their prize

>After the ceremony the man slips back behind the curtain he loosens his tie and sighs “Thank goodness that stupid show is over! Those guys were eating me with their stares…”
>A narration box appears reading ‘Seymour Wendell – Strickland Foundation Official’
>“Mr. Wendell?”
>Seymour: “Oh, now what? I told you to not put me in front of a crowd…Oh, it’s you.”

>A narration box appears reading ‘Navis – Strickland Sponsored Racer’
>Navis: “Yeah, it’s me… should I give my report now or when you feel better?”
>Seymour rubs his eyes a little and relaxes “Just follow me to my office.”

>We cut to Clarence, Jeff, and Sumo, who are running around the crowd, they look scared
>Sumo: “Uh, uh, what about that guy?” he points to Hex who is talking with Pym about the canisters
>The boys begin approaching him until he turns his head and they see the other half of his face
>Clarence and Jeff recoil a little
>Sumo: “Whoa, cool...” but he’s quickly dragged away by the others
>They run in the direction of Navis, but then Clarence sees Seymour and grabs his two friends swinging them in a different direction
>Jeff: “Clarence, come on!”
>Clarence: “No, look!”
>Rex is standing in the street next to his vehicle, showing off to impress the locals
>Jeff: “Well, he does look kind of impressive.”
>Clarence's group approaches him
>Clarence: “Mister, hey mister! There’s these roots and they’re growing and it has shining eyes and-”
>Jeff nudges him “What my friend is trying to say is, we found something dangerous and we’re looking for help.”
>Rex: “Dangerous, huh?”

Now we're cutting to Navis' briefing. Any ideas for that? Once we're done with it, we'll cut back to Rex laughing.
>>
>>90111832
This is happening in the middle of a hostile plant invasion, so they'd probably realize he's going to weaponize the bees somehow.
>>
>>90112053
>The next scene is a recording of the fight between Sam, Max and Backslide. Navis and Seymour are inside a room in the Strickland building
>Navis: That’s all what I managed to record; those three Stand users are inscribed in the President’s race
>Seymour: Excellent, we’ll combine this with the footage we obtained from the other witnesses in the city
>Navis: Lots of Stand users in the race, and criminals too. I wonder what the hell that guy was thinking when organizing this race
>Seymour: We knew he was trouble when he issued that clemency order. We usually leave this kind of political things to our friends in Interpol
>Navis: Like when they took care of Belle Reve…
>Seymour: However, things are different this time with the sudden rise in Stand-related incidents and other supernatural phenomena
>Navis: Other supernatural phenomena?
>Seymour plays a recording of Ghost Rider in San Fransokyo “I’m no Stand user and I can perfectly see that punk with the flaming head. I tell you hwat, that darn thing ain’t normal”
>Navis: O-of course not…(internally) dammit, I must have missed that
>Seymour: “And is not only surrounding Nobody’s race, we have reports all around the world of incidents that the local authorities can’t explain” A world map appears in the screen displaying a lot of info “The whole globe is becoming a pressure cooker”

what else?
>>
>>90112769
Navis is also an Interpol agent.

Is Seymour aware of that? I don't see why he wouldn't be.

Sam and Max are in the race, but Loki isn't entered in it.

The final thing Seymour should mention is that there's SOMETHING else out there granting stands other than jawbreakers, and though it's purely speculation, his gut tells him the race probably has something to do with that.
Navis' mission is to find out what this unknown element is.
>>
>>90113147
Well, he is the member of a small branch office in a small town, he may not know some of the details of what the higher ups are doing.

>Sam and Max are in the race, but Loki isn't entered in it
The third one was Dan
>>
>>90113486
Right, my mind just filters out Dan since he wasn't in the race at the time.

I suppose that's right. Seymour isn't some big shot like Bobby, but it's still a respectable position. Should he give Bobby a call at any point during or after the meeting, or mention Bobby, or should we not bring him up?
>>
>>90113568
Maybe after the plants' rampage, Seymour assures Navis that he will send a report to Strickland's HQ. Bobby himself could appear in a later stage, relaying to Navis the info that the foundation obtains after taking care of the chaos caused by the race.

As a foreshadowing for part 8, Bobby could briefly mention that during the Aberdale incident, some looters sneaked into Strickland's offices and stole some of their equipment, including a power armor.
>>
>>90113923
I don't know what's going on with Strickland in part 8.

I know Watt as the big electric robot later on in this part.

Just how involved are Strickland and Interpol going to be around the end of part 7?
>>
>>90114078
I don't think we have anything planned for Strickland in part 8 yet. As for the end of this part, it was suggested that Interpol mobilizes a fleet in a vain attempt to stop Stardust
>>
>>90114403
We really should make them have a bigger impact on the end parts so they don't look totally incompetent after having dealt with a great deal of the corruption that had been preventing them from acting.

>Navis is looking at the image of Ghost Rider
>Seymour: “Something else is causing stands to awaken other than those hard candies, and this is just speculation on my part, but it seems to me that the same thing might be the course of this other spooky business. I know it’s a tall order, but keep your eyes peeled for anything extra out of the ordinary.”

>Rex gets on his ride and drives off, still laughing
>Sumo get mad and picks up a rock yelling “Jerk!” as he throws it, breaking one of the lights in Rex' motortank
>Rex stops, the boys panic and run into the nearest building
>Pan up to the building’s sign, it’s a bar ‘The Salty Spitoon’
>Sumo kicks the edge of the counter “Ugh, we’re never gonna find someone to help us fight that monster at this rate!”
>A voice from off panel “Monster?”
>Perspective zooms out revealing a large, portly man with a bushy black beard and a red nose wearing a sea captain’s coat and hat, a narration box appears reading ‘Captain Archibald Haddock, a.k.a. The Rumbling Thunder’
>Clarence: “Yeah, in this cave, outside of town, there were these jars, and this horned monster, and roots, and these urns-”
>Clarence points tot he urn Sumo is holding and Haddock takes it from him, “Ah, good, another drink.” before downing the contents
>Jeff’s and Clarence gape at this while Sumo smiles
>Haddock burps a little and suddenly there’s a close up of his eye, then we go into his eye, we see clouds parting and a floating figure emerge with the sun to its back obscuring its features, arms outstretch
>Then a graveyard overgrown, a huge gust of wind and finally a horned figure with glowing eyes
cont.
>>
>>90117134
>Zoom back out out Haddock’s eye, he shakes his head “Show me this monster, I will not allow such vile beasts to stalk children freely!”
>The boys’ eyes light up as the imposing man rises from his seat and follows them out of the bar

>As Haddock gets up, Goofy is no longer obscured from view, he’s sitting at the counter with bandages wrapped around his head and arms and pretty much everywhere
>Spongebob is also in the bar and notices Goofy now, he gets up and shimmies his way over to him pulling up a seat

So what is Spongebob going to say to Goofy? What innocent thing can he say that Goofy will take as a grave insult?
>>
>>90117178
Could be something that Goofy relates to Max, ignoring the fact that there's no way Spongebob knows about him
>>
>>90117359
Would be a good opportunity to foreshadow that, but I'd like it to set up the "Are you trying to cheat me again?" line.
>>
>>90117436
Spongebob says that Goofy looks like he was run over by a rock and starts laughing (unaware that he trampled Goofy), then Bob offers something to Goofy (a bottle of water, a krabby pattie, etc), who suspects that Bob is trying to sabotage him again.
>>
>>90118347
So Goofy asks if Spongebob is mocking him now.

Then Spongebob offers to buy him a drink, Goofy says the thing and storms out, Spongebob does the "hmmmmmmmmm..." thing with rubbing his chin.

Or maybe Spongebob says one more thing that's particularly painful to Goofy causing him to give Spongebob a death glare before storming out.
>>
>>90119060
>Hey, take it easy pal, you don't want to get sent back with your family this earlier, do you?
>>
Will Joshua go after Clarence's group if he see them?
>>
>>90120468
Maybe. Right now the fight parts still need some organizing, so I'm not sure if he crosses paths with them.
>>
>>90120860
Well, Sumo is supposed to be present when the monster turns against Joshua and eats him
>>
>>90121036
Right now it looks like Seymour VS plant monster and Lil Buddy

Pym and Hex VS Joshua

Haddock VS The Beast, which is after Lil' Buddy is burned.

Ill work on the ordering to make it work once we get further along in this section since I have a preference for going in chronological order.
>>
>>90117178
>Spongebob: “Well howdy partner, you look like you got rolled over by a rock.” He starts laughing a little, unaware that this is true and he did it
>Goofy: “Are you mocking me now, Dirty Dan?”
>Spongebob: “Not at all, just trying to get to know some folks in the race. How ‘bout I buy you a drink?”
>Goofy’s eyes narrow “Are you trying to cheat me again?” he gets up, menacingly
>Spongebob: “Hey, take it easy pal, you don't want to get sent back with your family this early in the race, do you?”
>Goofy shoots Spongebob a death glare before storming out
>Spongebob rubs his chin and squints his eyes "Hmm…"

>Cut to Vince/Jack, he’s out exploring the town on his own with his notebook at the ready “All right, new location, new people, new history. What do you have for me, Aberdale?” A question that was aimed at no one but himself as he looks around
>Walking down the suburban streets, Jack notices something moving from the corner of his eye, he turns to look and sees only tree roots and continues on. He pauses once again and looks back, still just tree roots
>Jack: “That’s odd...”
>As Jack walks away, the roots begin moving while unobserved

Who tells Jack about the Indian curse? What should he be told?

Damn, Hiro really broke the site this time. Anyway, how should Seymour waste his propane supply? I was thinking in something like this:

>Lil' Buddy appears with another group of monsters
>Seymour decides to fill a grenade with the remainder of his propane so he can blow them all
>Clarence gives his retarded speech

>>
>>90131233
So is Josh just yelling to the sky about how the town is cursed?

Not very convincing though, pirates in this part of the continent...” Jack quickly turns around and sternly stares at some tree roots that are growing through the sidewalk “Still, might be something to what he said...”

>We now turn our attention to Josh, who is limping his way to where the prize ceremony has just concluded and racers are still dispersing from

I suppose he could be at the front lines of fighting off Tulio's army, maybe he's the one who decapitates him.

I'm not sure I want to apply him at the robot town, him annihilating Gatlocke's drones might traumatize the citizens.

But he's not really in the race, he's just along to prevent the corpse from being assembled or the evil within from destroying the world. What role can he play at the end?

>A group of rebels board Tulio's flagship
>All smug as fuck, they go after Tulio
>He brutally slaughter them without effort
>Enter Old Jack, he is the first opponent to ever wound him
>Tulio's starts fighting seriously; a swordman vs a bare-fisted colossus
>When he is beheaded, Tulio says "You are worthy...of my Handsome World..." with his last breath
>>
>>90142851
How dignified do we want Tulio's death to be?
>>
>>90142999
I don't know; besides his warlord role, he's supposed to be a master combatant who took down all his previous opponents. Right now I'm picturing him tearing apart pieces of Jack’s armor and parrying his blade through sheer punches.
>>
>>90143900
But he's also a complete monster with ambitions for global conquest.
>>
>>90140420
Then, where will they be when the attack begins?
>>
>>90145597
Either coming out of the bar or meeting up back where Pym is working on Rover. There's some text about the conversation they're having when the attack begins that causes them to get Josh's attention.
>>
>>90145728
The one about Pym's fashion sense and where Janet is also mentioned?
>>
>>90145935
Yes, Pym saying the line about "why don't you go chase your friend shocker" is what makes Josh attack them.

>We pan out from the town, back in the desert where a lone figure is digging in a ditch
>Goofy wipes his brow and looks back to his jalopy, still mostly buried and surrounded by cacti
>He continues digging under the hot sun until a voice comes from off-panel “Bad luck seems to follow you, Goofy.”
>Goofy looks around, but sees no one “All right, I know that voice, where are ya?”
>Some of the cacti in the ditch begin moving, they twist and uproot from the dirt until they’ve formed a large hand, about three feet big
>Goofy sticks the shovel into the dirt and rests his hands on the handle “Keeping a low profile with 「OLD MOUNTAIN DEW」, huh? Makes sense. Don’t suppose yer here to led me a hand?”
>The stand speaks “Charming as always, Goofy, but I’m just here to get your thoughts on that dapper little yellow fellow who’s claimed quite the commanding lead.”
>Goofy snorts “He’s tripped me up twice now. He always seems to get in my way. But don’t you worry, I won’t do nothing rash and play my part.”
>The cactus hand nods “Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, once is happenstance, twice is coincidence-”
>Goofy: “And the third time is enemy action. I know, I know. He might end up being one of those ‘hero’ types the boss man is lookin’ for, but I’ll eliminate him just the same if he gets in the way of the objective.”
>The stand turns and movies a little “Look like you’ve got company. We’ll talk again soon.” the stand departs, the cacti are now out of the ditch and out of the way
>A shadow is cast over Goofy, it’s Wander and Sylvia “Hi there, friend. Sorry if we’re intruding, but, well, I saw you out here all by yourself, and you took one heck of a tumble, so…” Wander and Sylvia both hold up a shovels “It never hurts to help?”
>Goofy rubs his chin a little as he thinks this over “Garsh, that’s down right neighborly of ya.”
>The three of them begin digging

>Goofy: “We don’t need to get it all the way out, just enough so I can get his Varrick do-hickey on it.”
>Wander: “Can do!”

Not sure if I really nailed Goofy or Aunt May in this.

Next we'll be cutting back to town with Shocker and Chameleon's exchange.
Gotta figure out how that's gonna go.
>>
>>90147641
Does Shocker know Chameleon beforehand in this?
>>
>>90148929
Yes, they've met before is the angle I'm going with.
>>
>>90149165
He may be wary of the stranger at first, then relieved that is a familiar face when he removes his disguise, and then wary again after he makes the offer of getting rid of Hex.
>>
>>90149484
Were they both members of the same gang or something?
>>
>>90150894
In the 90's Spider-man series, they were members of a version of the Sinister Six
>>
>>90151226
Good enough connection for me. He could say he's trying to get the gang back together and has a big job lined up.

But Shocker knows these big jobs never pay off and just devolve into revenge schemes.
>>
>>90151708
>The last time they were together was the reason Peter is absent
>>
>>90152138
I don't know how much of that we want to get into.

Any thoughts? How much backstory is too much?
Right now the Chameleon is on Nobody (or somebody in the Dada party)'s payroll as an undercover guy in the race due to his ability to disguise himself so he can act freely during the clemency portions without getting kicked out of the race.
>>
>>90152320
I think it should be just a brief mention about how shit went south the last time they teamed up. We haven't even decided if Spider-man is dead or just out of action.

Aunt May probably doesn't know who was behind the attack on Peter.
>>
>>90152507
Alright, so we cut back to the town, Pym and Hex walk away (any dialogue needed?), normal guy and Shocker walk away to somewhere, Chameleon is revealed (should Chameleon be changed to Tad Strange in the tables or did he enter under the name Chameleon?), Shocker and Chameleon catch up, he turns down the deal citing how shit always goes south when they work together and he really just wants the prize money from the race.
>>
>>90152722
>should Chameleon be changed to Tad Strange in the tables or did he enter under the name Chameleon?
When Strickland comes to retrieve him, he doesn't have any disguise and they don't recognize him as one of the racers.
>>
>>90152900
Yeah, but I'm asking if he entered under a fake name as well as a face that isn't his.
>>
>>90152928
Well, otherwise they would be forced to release him since, as a racer, he has the president's clemency.
>>
>>90153072
Yeah, but he never says his name, or anything, from the time they pick him up to the time he gets murdered.

Just by looking at him, he doesn't match the description of any of the racers.

But I'm still asking if the name is relevant.
>>
>>90153154
For the first and second table it would be better to change the name, after his identity is revealed isn't necessary to keep the secrecy.
>>
>>90147641
>Cut back to the town
>Shocker and the normal guy have disappeared in the crowd
>Hex looks mad, Pym says "It's not like you could do anything to him while we're here anyway."

>Shocker and the stranger are now walking the streets of Aberdale
>Shocker: "So, are you going to tell me what this is about, or..." he raises one of his gauntlets
>The man smiles and puts a hand over his face "Is that anyway to treat an old friend?" as he peels his face off, revealing a smooth, pale, almost nose-less head
>A narration box appears reading 'The Chameleon, current alias: Tad Strange'
>Shocker lowers his gauntlet "Oh..." then raises it again "Oh!"
>Chameleon: "Ah, come on, you're not still sore about what happened with the Sinister Six, are you?"

That's just what I'm coming up with on the fly. More of that when I'm not half asleep.
>>
Well, time to once again see if the thread will not die in the night.
>>
>>90153499
Wait, is he using a normal disguise or is the ability of his Stand?
