The interesting part is in one of the earliest seasons he mentions he has a settlement and workman's comp, meaning if that answer is still canon he's a cop wounded in the line of duty.

My dad's a cop actually. They tend to break the law more because they know they'll usually get away with it. At least the smaller stuff like speeding.

Is this really a twist rather than just a reveal? Did it retroactively change a shit ton of stuff about the character?
