I had a dream this morning that I saw The Last Jedi and hated it.

I can't remember anything about the movie itself, but I do remember it had a post-credits sequence and some asshole sitting next to me in the theater shouted something during it, which caused me to flip him off.

So I suspect the general religion of Star Wars in canon (the literal truths of the universe, not the actual religions formed around them) are somewhat inspired by a mixture of Christianity and Taoism with little hints of Greek/Roman mythology mixed in. Here's my personal take on it:
>Cosmic Force always existed.
>One day the Cosmic Force decides to create life for whatever reason.
>The galaxy is created.
>The Cosmic Force decides to take form as The Father in the Living Force. (Maybe it didn't want to be alone or something so the whole reason for creating the Living Force was to interact with other sentient beings)
>The Father ends up creating children. This is likely in some form similar to ancient Greek/Roman myths where The Father has sex with some animal (maybe a bird which would explain their bird forms) or formed them out of some force of nature.
>The Father soon realizes that him reproducing directly instead of creating life like how he did when he made the Living Force is dangerous since his children are extremely powerful in the force.
>The Father also realizes that he will die soon since he likely has the same lifespan as a normal human.
>So he creates Mortis and moves his family there.
>He probably creates the Force Priestesses and the Whills as a way to keep him up to date with the universe. (Who do you think told him about the Chosen One finally being born? It was probably the Force Priestesses or Qui-Gon). These are similar to Angels in Christianity.
>He realizes that he will eventually die and maybe it's an extremely complicated process to create another form for himself so he decides to set up some plan to create someone else to eventually take his place in keeping his children in balance. This is the Chosen One prophecy.

Rogue One novelization has Tarkin only moderately concerned about two specific projects that have data types on Scarif (other than the Death Star) and the potential for them being delayed due to the Battle of Scarif.

You can rebalance them, anon, and I'm not sure why you think you cannot. The balance of the Force within the crystals are very delicate. You rebalance them to turn them Red. You can rebalance them again and make them light side again.

It should be noted that Ahsoka was not actively engaged in purifying the crystals, she was merely tuning with them as a means of fighting Sixth Brother. They turned white as a result of this struggle because, as said, the crystals have a very fine balance. It was not her intention, merely a happy outcome.

We don't know if they turned white because that's simple what happens when you remove the corruption, or if they returned to Ahsoka as she is now (as opposed to the green when she was still following the Jedi path), or if that's merely where they settled after the fight. Although I'm inclined to believe the third option, Filoni has repeatedly said that this is symbolic that she is no longer a Jedi. So either the second or a combination of the second and third.

It also helps that Kanan's vision wasn't restored. He is more open to the Force and connected to the people around him, helping guide him to what seems like the next level of spirituality he's been building towards, but while he is perhaps more open enough to sense Klik-Klak hiding from a great distance it didn't provide any insights into training Sabine, perhaps because she's closed off to the Force. Speaking of distance, while he sensed Klik-Klak's presence we learned he couldn't see Sabine fighting rocket troopers from a distance. This was played as a joke but clearly Kanan cannot "see" over the same distance as he could before.

The balance between a crystal is apparently very easy to change, at last if you can use the Force.

While you need to attune with them before they can be used in lightsabers, it would appear that Galen found a way to use them anyway using science. Of course a lot of those were plundered from Jedi Temples or he suspected even taken from lightsabers. Still Jedha had kyber mines. Lyra was also sent to scout locations for kyber deposits. Not sure if they had to use Inquisitors or anyone else to tune these naturally mined ones.

In EU kyber crystals are actually the last type of Sabre Crystal. The first force weapons are made using jedi/sith alchemy where they imbue materials with the force so they can cast force lightning through them and deflect blaster bolts. So you have jedi and sith running around with regular swords and staves. The Rakata used something called force-sabres which used a different type of crystal which was more tied to the dark side. The jedi craved the power they had, and experimented with kyber crystals because they were specially sensitive to the force.

I'm willing to bet this was some sort of early sith version of a force Saber.

While the Darksaber has certain special properties - Kanan referred to it as heavy yet powerful - kybers are the only crystals we are aware of that are used in lightsabers. Sith alchemy no longer exists, though catalyst talks about scientific efforts to create synthetic kybers. Apparently such alternatives do not exist hence the Empire ripping kybers from old temples as they did on Jedha. Even the First Order, who otherwise managed to obtain near limitless power from harvesting "Dark Energy" still needed kyber deposits in the planet they converted into Starkiller Base in order for their weapon to function.

I think Depa Bilaba did a decent job explaining the Jedi's No Attachments policy. It makes sense, really. Anakin certainly became slave to his emotions in the end and that lasted decades. Ironically it was his attachment to Luke that saved him, though, and Luke is a product of someone disobeying the No Attachments rule. On that end I wonder how Luke feels/felt about it for his New Jedi Order. Certain Ben seems to be a slave to his emotions, too, so it's hard not to argue there isn't a point.

I think that point could be argued. After all, it was his attachment to Vader and Vader's attachment to him that restored the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. It wasn't for the good of the galaxy or any form of detached emotional state that caused him to turn on Sidious and save Luke. If it wasn't clear enough in the original the newly added, "NOOOOOO!" certainly helps.

It's actually an interesting point. Luke's attachment to his friends caused him to abandon his lessons. He lost a hand, learned the soul crushing truth of who his daddy was, and wound up needing saved himself. As a result, though, his rejection left a lingering impact on Vader that seems to have rekindled the true soul of Anakin Skywalker within the armor. If Luke had remained behind and trained, learned the path of denying emotional connections, and been forged into a true weapon of justice against the Sith I cannot see him redeeming his father. He would surely resist the emotions of the revelation. If by some miracle Yoda managed to whip Luke into shape enough that he could defeat Vader AND the Emperor, that'd be something, but I cannot imagine Vader surviving and Anakin Skywalker being redeemed.

What would a fully trained Luke mean for the New Jedi Order? What would happen to Ben, especially in the long run if Vader remained faithful and never turned on the Emperor? I have no clue, but it is an intriguing what if.

I don't mind green ones, since they've been a thing forever. Blue ones are a little odd. Other colors would be weird too I gotta admit. Red and Green are typically fine though.

My headcanon for blaster colors is as follows:

Red: Most common, and therefore the lowest quality. "Good enough" for most people, though.

Green: Usually used on Imperial and Republic vehicles and turrets. Likely a higher quality gas meant for taking out big targets like starships. The only time I think we've seen hand blasters use Green is on Naboo, and they seem the type to pay out the ass for better gas.

Yellow, Orange: Seen on some Separatist and Rebel vehicles. Probably better than Red but cheaper than Green.

Blue: Tibanna gas infused with some kind of EMP agent for combat against machinery.

So let's suggest new characters for Rebels, even if their only one offs or secondary characters like Rau, Captain Sato and Governor Pryce

Sona Ro, a kaminoan surgeon who has left their homeworld to escape the iron grip of the Empire, which commands the creation of new. bio weapons. He is an old man by Kaminoan standards, and feels guilt over his peoples involvement in the death of the Jedi Order and the enslavement of the galaxy. During his time since the Clone Wars Sona Ru has tried to find solace in the lay religions of the Force, and spreads his benediction to those he heals. Sona is sought out by the rebels after Rexs accelerated clone aging begins to take a toll on him, threatening to deprive the Phoenix cell of one of its most experienced operatives. Ezra and Kanan, tipped off by Hondo, find Sona on Corellia, working as a street doctor, and eagerly agrees to aid Rex, any other clones in the rebellion, and to act as chief medical officer for Phoenix Squadron. He becomes very popular among Rebel personnel, and his hopeful demeanor revives his patients as much as surgery does.

While a strange design it would make a weird sense - if the handles are suspended in place since it maximizes the amount of blade and limits the parts you can damage to the handholds. Seems like something that might be used against other lightsabers, and end up as the ceremonial weapon of one of their guards. Based on what we've heard about blades attracting each other I don't think they slide too well against each other. They seem to meet like magnets.

If an error it's one I'll embrace, like Sixes. If such a weapon can be made to work, surely Sixes would find the way better than any mere Jedi.
