Hey look, a comic where the real villains are literal social justice warriors, what a surprise, /co/ isn't talking about it at all because they'd rather be offended at Mockingbird's imaginary feminist agenda.

Captain Falcon storytime.
>>
>>
There were 2 threads about it
>>
>>
>>88928764
Oh, my bad.

Well hey, now there are three, it's a good comic.
>>
>>88928771
>>
>>88928780
>>
>>88928804
I wonder if that's Ann Coulter or Megyn Kelly?

If it's the latter, this comic is already out of date because she bailed to work for NBC. Can you believe that? It'll be a daytime show and she'll flounder because she doesn't know how to thrive in an environment that's not primetime punditry.
>>
>>88928829
Seriously, look at when they got Barbara Walters off the Today Show and into CBS nightly news, crashed and burned. It's still a net win for NBC though, because now Rachel Maddow, her MSNBC counterpart will have less competition. Probably the goal all along! Oh well.

That necklace doesn't look good on Sam.
>>
I don't remember Rage, but that might be because I'm a babby. Where's he from, before this?

I'm glad someone's writing stories about both sides having idiot extremists, but this is still handled poorly and written without an ounce of subtlety.

Still imbalanced. Acknowledges extremist left-wingers but has no sensible right-wingers. Portraits campus intolerance as aimed solely against bigots, when anybody not on far left is protested/attacked/not allowed to speak.
>>
>>88929225
>Portraits campus intolerance as aimed solely against bigots, when anybody not on far left is protested/attacked/not allowed to speak.
Did you miss the part where they fought Falcon and Rage because they didn't want to kill Fox News Lady?
>>
Whatever.

Good night, everybody!
>>
>>88929005
>I can't even!
Oh god I hope she gets wrecked.
>>
>>88929235
>anti-heroes fight heroes that don't want them to kill villains
No shit.

I'm actually talking about protesters and how the speech event was portrayed. Bigoted right-winger wants to speak, everybody is against it and just some idiots are going too far. Meanwhile in the real life, a registered Democrat feminist needs police protection to give her speech because she is a moderate contrarian.

Besides, PAD written years ago a story about Supergirl fighting the Steel over why a bigot should be allowed to speak in academia. I don't have to tell you which story was superior.
>>
>>88928748
I think there were 3, and another one in /pol/
>>
>>88928863
>Where's he from, before this?
He's originally from a 90s Avengers run. Created by Larry Hama.
>>
This is just Nick Spencer having a neoliberal bitch fit about Bernie style Democrats, who he despises almost as much as Republicans.
>>
>>88928732
/co/ was talking about it but didn't get it. They [I suspect illegal immigrants from /pol/] were offended by it, about as much as by Mockingbird's imaginary feminist agenda. >>88884298

It's Nick Spencer playing it safe while still making the people who hold dissimilar political/social stances contrary to his look bad while dissociating himself from the "extreme" liberal groups. Like those black dudes that kidnapped and tortured that special needs guy recently.

Also Spencer is still a huge blue pilled cuck.
>>
>>88929282
>Besides, PAD written years ago a story about Supergirl fighting the Steel over why a bigot should be allowed to speak in academia. I don't have to tell you which story was superior.

These were different times, today (as /pol/ shows) even the bigots are just a caricature of their former selves, so I rate these stories to be about on par.

I like this comic.
>>
>>88929225

USAgent was portrayed pretty fairly, though.
>>
>>88929397
> it was her turn!
>>
>>88929348
Exactly. This faggot is a neocon democrat who supported Killary. It's no different than the right-wingers who threw a hissy fit over Trump and his supporters during the election.
>>
>>88929656
Only because Spencer is gay for him.
>>
>>88929225
>>88929282
That's literally what USAgent was. A legitimate right-winger who doesn't back off from his ideas but really wants what's best for his country and fights for it everyday.

>>88929282
Spencer being the self-portrayed classic liberal he says he is, seems to trace the line at "acknowledging right to speak to anyone who's not a concern to public safety". So say Neonazis showing up with guns and knives is a no-no, but the lady here is to be met with booing and signs contradicting her ideas rather than physical violence and claiming she shouldn't be speaking anywhere in the first place. This is what's on the page for everyone to read, not my ideas.

>Fascism means anything I dislike
I really don't like Spencer's political views, but come on
>>
>>88930137
His intolerance for conflicting opinions on policy among the left. He has a strong 'fall in line or fuck off' policy, constantly gate keeping who is or isn't a 'real Democrat'. Particularly when it comes to dissent over, let's be generous and call them 'moderate' Democrat stances. Anyone who voices disapproval of Democrat measures that fall into Authoritarian and conservative areas gets a hateful rejection from Spencer.

He's very much a Democrat party jackboot.
>>
>>88930142
>and that Spencer is Center-Right
Spencer is center right on most economic issues, and he's not all that left on social ones either.
>>
>>88930174
I don't think you understand what fascist means. By your definition Donald Trump is a fascist.
>>
>>88930174

He does have a point though with wanting people to fall in line when it comes to voting during the midterms and elections, though, cause the left tends to shoot itself in the foot there by valuing ideology over pragmatism. Especially when the other candidate is a straight up nutjob.
>>
>>88930264
As the saying goes: Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line.
It's a lot harder to get democrats motivated to vote, especially in midterms, whereas republicans are more pragmatic and will vote for anyone that has an R next to his name and defend everything he does.
>>
>>88930235
>By your definition Donald Trump is a fascist.
well yeah
>>
>>88929768
If I was him, I'd call myslef mexican-eagle and claim that I don't need a citizenship since I'm not 100% human.
>>
>>88930264
You might say that, but Bernie was the ideologue that got shafted by the establishment and that probably shot them in the foot more than anything. That, and pragmatism is what got them Hillary as a candidate.
>>
>>88930235
Yes?
>>
>>88928732
So what's all All-New All-Mexican Falcon gonna do once Sam Wilson inevitably goes back to being the Falcon?
Call himself El Halcón?
>>
>>88930264
That's nice if you're a politician, but a shit way to run a country.
>>
>>88928975
I'll consider it my REACTION IMAGE.
>>
>>88930288

I think both the left and the right have a tendency to look for the one true liberal or conservative messiah. The difference is that the right will ignore or excuse issues or problems with their chosen candidate while the left will tear itself apart over minor differences in ideology or because the person has all the policies but also has the 'wrong' identity (see for example SJWs bitching about that senator in Texas who filibustered that anti-abortion bill for being a white woman and how dare other liberals praise her when they could be praising a black woman)
>>
>>88929214
>Reference to Boomerang from Superior Foes of Spiderman

Goddammit, don't make me like this awkwardness
>>
>>88930288
Many republicans, especially the second ammendmen folks and the religious right are single-issues voters who will forgive anything as long as the candidate is on their side on the few issues they care about.
>>
>>88929397

Considering they filmed it while saying stuff like fuck Donald Trump and white people, there might be a relation there.
>>
>>88929214

God dammit, now you made me sad about no more Superior Foes.
>>
>>88930288
lol this is literally the complete fucking opposite. Trump was absolutely hated by the Republican establishment and the politicians begged their constituents not to vote for him and they did anyways. Did you also conveniently forget all the fucking Democraps telling their voters to fall in line to vote for KIllary which they did?
>>
>>88928732
were you not here yesterday?
>>
>>88928732
We're not talking about it because /pol/ got so triggered by it, they bitches about it in that thread, and then made a brand new thread to bitch about it.

Yes, you read that right, they started bitching because SJWs were the villains.
>>
>>88930684

You mean eastablishment and #NeverTrump people that fell in line one by one? And people are primarily talking about voters, and Republican voters have higher turn-out in elections and midterms. than Democrats who can't be arsed to get off their ass and vote.
>>
>>88930712
Dont romanticize into that, Spencer is making fun of people who disagree with him while still praising SJW
>>
>>88928771
>it's a good comic
It wasn't funny and it wasn't clever. "He makes fun of the people I don't like" =/= "It's good".
>>
>>88930712

Didn't /pol/ get triggered by the Flag-Smasher issue, too?
>>
>>88930741

>You mean eastablishment and #NeverTrump people that fell in line one by one?

After the voters all left them to join Trump. Being politicians by trade, of course they'd magically forget all the hate for Trump and bend the knee when they saw which direction the wind was blowing.
>>
>>88928891
>Mexican-American

I thought those people were called "Texans" or "Californians"?
>>
>>88928764

>>
>>88930762

Leaving aside politics this book has had massive pacing issues since Standoff ended.
>>
>>88928732
Misty Knight has been working for Hydra since Remender's ANAD Captain America

Spencer forgot and now she beats up guys who share porn videos
>>
>>88930017
He's Mexican? I didn't see him looting Walmarts.
>>
>>88930361

>>
>>88930566
OK, so if they filmed themselves going fuck Trump, sure. Crude, but okay. Fuck white people, meh, could grant you that since extremists are fucked by definition and American discourse on race and racism is retarded. Which brings me to how the fuck do you get fucking up a retard under the liberal umbrella? At that point we're off most reservations short of nazism and early 1900s and earlier mental care.
>>
>>88930796
I thought it sucked before Standoff, but improved immensely afterwards. It's back to being shit now, though.
>>

It's obviously stalling for time until the Hydra event.

Fuck, Spencer's pulling a Waid eh?
Marvel really needs to get it together.
>>
>>88930741
>You mean eastablishment and #NeverTrump people that fell in line one by one?
Because he won their nomination AND became president? The same thing would have happened on the other side too. The difference being NO ONE on the left was as anti-Hillary/anti-Democrat establishment as the right-wingers were for their own party.
>>
>>88930796
>>88930882
I for one found myself pretty fond of it before Standoff. Post-Standoff it acquired an unexpected relevance with all the Hydra Cap stuff (and of course the US election), but the fact that no character in this book is on with Steve's keikaku made it lose direction. Cap keikaku'ing that senator's assassination was three issues ago, from then we had
>election month so wrestling issue to pretend that being American still unites us
>useless Misty issue
>now this that still doesn't move the plot forward except for the last page
It feels like it's stalling and only the Americops/politicians thread will be resolved before the Hydra War event

>>88931037

Kirby handled it well diring his 70's run. The exchanges Sam and Steve have about race are solid and somehow not cringy.

>>
>>88931457
This.

Okay, yes, America has more opportunities and benefits to the people living there.

That doesn't mean that America should act as nanny, taking care of citizens of other countries whose countries are corrupt and destitute.

Some time ago, people didn't just run away from their countries if they sucked, they did something about it. Instead of saying "Nah, fuck [homeland], I'll just be an American.", they were PROUD of be of their nationality. They wanted a country they could be proud to live in, so they starting moving the people. They revolted, overthrew the corrupt dictators who made their country shit, and installed new forms of government that had the people in mind. Instead of running away to some other place that's nicer, they made their own place nicer. Instead of leaving all their brethren behind to suffer, they made their brethren's situation better too.
