That's probably being too conservative. At some point, Tantive IV would have to have dropped out of hyperspace to be picked up and have its location transmitted so Devastator could catch up. Until we know the how and why of that, we're kind of stuck, since it's known you can't track a ship in hyperspace without a homing beacon.

Now for the speed of her ship. A CR90 Corvette can travel at 950 kph in an atmosphere. In terms of space and lightyears that is ridiculously slow. Like it would take Leia over 3 trillion years to get to Tatooine. But thats not how hyperdrives work in Star Wars. Hyperspace has a rough travel time of 5000 lightyears is about 16 hours, and that is using a class 2 hyperdrive which conveniently is what the Cr90 and Darth Vader's personal Star Destroyer both have. So some more simple math, and we get that it would take ~10 hours to get from Scarif to Tatooine for both Leia Organa and Darth Vader.

None of which answers the issue of how Tantive IV came to drop out of hyperspace in Tatooine's system long enough for Devastator to have caught up. If you can't track a ship in hyperspace, Devastator couldn't have begun its chase without knowing which direction Tantive IV was travelling. So at some point between the end of RO and the opening scene of ANH, Tantive IV dropped out of hyperspace long enough for something to detect its presence, transmit its location to Devastator, and Tantive IV would have had to stay out of hyperspace long enough for Devastator to arrive in system, cripple its hyperdrive, and reel it aboard via tractor beam.

Moreover, Tatooine is nowhere near Yavin IV, where the plans needed to go. If the idea was to make Tatooine a pickup stop to snag Obi-Wan on the way, then someone screwed up if they were lingering in the system for 10+ hours without making contact or at least landing in order to hide from any Imperial pursuit, which does nothing to explain why the Tatooine garrison, which we saw chasing down the Millennium Falcon after Mos Eisley, didn't intercept Tantive IV if it arrived in-system and stayed there that long after the APB went out that it was being looked for by Vader.

More they became too engaged in the war and the assumption that the Sith would, upon being cornered, eventually face them on even ground. They realized too late that the Sith had assumed the high ground from the beginning and that the Jedi were fighting an uphill battle with no real summit to reach. The prophecy worked against them only circumstantially - Yoda makes all these comments on how the Dark Side clouded everything. The Jedi had lost the moment Palpatine assumed the Chancellory. The Clone Wars were an external war that had to be attended to, but the prophecy of the Chosen One was all about the internal becoming the external, like thevyin yang. Anakin was meant to fall if he were to destroy the Sith - the nature of the yin yang implies that the external force will always be defeated by the internal force, and since that's exactly what the Sith did to the Jedi, the Jedi needed to do the same to the Sith.

The Jedi do try this with Quinlan Vos in Dark Disciple, but the entire thing just goes to utter shit because Vos has no real experience with the corruption of the Dark Side and the Sith are already masters of this game. It ends up costing them, Vos and Ventress entirely too much because they assumed it to be anothe mission Vos could just come back from. As soon as Vos proved otherwise with his erratic behavior upon being touched by the Dark Side, they realized that the hand they played was far more complicated than they imagined. The Sith had to be fought from within rather than without for the enveloping Dark Side to fall back into balance with the Force and unfortunately the Jedi Order died as part of the prophecy's fulfillment. They were collateral.

Anakin's actions as Darth Vader are entirely his own and have nothing to do with the will of the Force. They merely become something for him to reflect on and impart wisdom on as a Force Spirit.

Funnily enough Huttspace has one of the key hyperspace lanes to the Outer Rim. Geonosis is where the Death Star was originally built until being relocated to Scarif. Now if you wanted to transport a secret mobile battle station between those worlds without a chance for anyone noticing keeping it in hyperspace the whole time with no stops would be your best bet. So it is possible that the Hutt hyperspace lane was used. And what world happens to be incredibly close to Geonosis? Tatooine.

If Leia wanted to pick up Obi-Wan in a hurry she'd very likely have them risk this hyperspace lane. After all, is it a huge risk? They could have jumped out of hyperspace at any point.
