I'm not so sure about that. The Fang don't wear masks in Menagerie, but the people there don't know the Fang are violent either. Even Ghira, who left over the violence, wasn't aware that Adam had gone off the rails until Blake told him
It makes sense to distance Menagerie from the realities of the Fang, so the leadership would be somewhere else to prevent the truth getting out. That and judging from Adam the Fang keeps its leadership in the field, not hiding on a different continent

I think that's something people tend to forget is that any given Hunter, anyone going to those academies should be prepared to lose their lives so other people don't have to. Pyrrha wasn't a unique case at all, every member or RWBY also threw themselves against impossible odds that should've gotten them killed, Ruby even did it twice in one night. Ruby and Yang come from a family of them and have been dealing with death that results from that line of work from a young age, Weiss grew up in the middle of a war between the SDC and the White Fang, Blake also grew up in the violent White Fang outside to kingdom and presumably had to learn to fight to survive, and Ren and Nora both lost their familes to Grimm. Only Jaune and maybe Pyrrha haven't grown up around and shaped by death and violence.

The idea of Ruby tackling Beacon all by herself with no Yang as her safety blanket is really interesting to me.

Really we haven't seen aggressive Jaune outside of V1. That they are making Jaune emotional right now shows that his first interaction with the Ozpinspiracy is notably worse then the others, which could hint to a falling out in the long run.
