As for what makes muppets so great: its the eyes.
They're all slightly crosseyed so it makes it appear as if they are really LOOKING at you.

I honestly agree that the evolution of the 'meme' meme has been interesting. I love its latest evolution of meaning on the imageboards, how its being a catch-all for an idea or a concept (though I wouldn't necessarily say its agreeableness is relevant since you can call things you like memes, i.e. i play the video game meme). This new evolution greatly refines the ability for someone directly and concisely address and reference some concept at large, and to easily be able to list off pros and cons for it.

says so much in so little time. It implies that art school is not necessarily the best way to learn how to create art, and more importantly, it implies something about the societal trends and thoughts regarding art school.
I would also say the meme arrow > is another powerful language meme, since it can tell the reader that the writer is quoting something, is telling a story from someones perspective, or more importantly, imply something about some concept. You can imply irony about a statement, mock a statement, mockingly express how you think someone would act (>hurr durp im a reterd). Amazing how little nuances with the meme arrow can be used to express totally different things. " t. " and autism and " -fag" are also great language memes, but w/e i'm putting too much time and autism into one post.
Its amazing such beautiful language tools have arisen out of somewhere as debauched as the imageboards. Its dissapointing that most normals don't understand these higher language memes since I earnestly believe they actually immensely raise the level of discourse, and the speed, ease, and fun of discourse.
