Such bullshit. I get the appeal of a slick looking vinyl release, but it's not for everyone. They're large and degrade with use. Most fans of the show probably don't even have record players. If they're not doing a digital release then they should at least do a CD. Or do a US blu-ray release with the songs.

I only saw this show the other day and holy shit it was amazing. I knew it was good because I had heard so from /co/ and some friends that had seen it and I knew it was going to be a bit different. But it was even better than I expected. Its like a cross between Gravity Falls and The VVitch in the best way possible.

Now the question I have for you lot is; who was best girl and why was it Lorna?

It's not that hipster.
It's very boring though.

The backgrounds and the overall atmosphere are really, really nice but the character designs look like scarecrows rather than people and the action and humor lacks so much of impact until the latter episodes, which are a bit better.

It's not what I'd call hipstery. Maybe some people at tumblr try and act like it's the Citizen Kane of animated specials, but you shouldn't judge based on that. You don't have to get the old references to enjoy it at all.
Overall, I'd say it was pretty good, a nice change of pace from the pure comedy that's always on. Give it a chance.

It's pretty funny, but nothing like OTGW. More forgettable, but worth a watch.

It is. When the pilot first came out, everyone hated it for being mediocre and derivative of Regular Show. Which it was, but the actual series turned out to be much, much better.

It's nowhere near as good as OtGW, but it is good. It functions almost more like an extended pilot, and makes me wish that the show was picked up in full.

The Unknown has weird rules. The moon never changes but several days pass and the weather changes. Meanwhile maybe a minute passes in the real world (short enough that they don't get brain damage from a lack of oxygen).

I don't know if I have a favorite. Weirdly, I actually listen to Tiny Star a lot, it's really really good.

I like a lot of the instrumental music though. The Journey Begins/Half Moon River in particular I listen to a lot.

But then, Old Black Train, Send Me a Peach, Pottsfield Pastoral, I really like them as well.

There were enough people impressed enough with it that they greenlit it as a miniseries, and that was very deliberate, as a mini series and not a full one. As for the creators themselves, I think they knew it would achieve critical acclaim, and hoped it would get attention and lots of syndication, which it's done as well as could be expected. A lot of the people who worked on the show absolutely gushed about it. Like I know Elijah went on and on about how much he liked it and how proud he was of it.
