So what do you guys think the odds are that by the end of this season Ada will do more cool magic stuff than Strange did in his movie?

Yeah, after 2001:ASO the image of evil AIs is so engrained in the audience that movies kind of have to take that as a starting point: the viewer instinctly doesn't trust the machine, so it's useless to have it turn evil because it would be no twist at all, it's just better to have it as a useful assistant to do the stuff the human characters can't do (see Moon and Interstellar)
With humanoid AIs it's the same thing thanks to Terminator and all of that, so keeping them good is in fact a subversion of expectations

But if we go on this way we can say at this point that AIs turning evil is again a effective twist, because people by now know that writers don't go for something so obvious anymore, and they are surprised when it actually happens

Of course after a while it becomes a useless loop of reverse psychology, so it doesn't make much sense to dwell on this pronostics of expectations too much

The AI being helpful was an even bigger plot twist when you consider it being voiced by Kevin Spacey.

I don't think I ever finished the second season of Agent Carter. I liked the show well enough, though the second season wasn't as good as the first. Still I'm not surprised it didn't survive.

I liked both seasons but agree that Season 1 was far better. I wish they had gone in a different direction for Season 2 (i.e., work toward establishing SHIELD, or at least more Howlies), since it felt like the plot for that season kind of went nowhere. Still, I love Peggy and I love the top-tier Peggy/Jarvis bantz, so I still thought it was enjoyable.

I would absolutely love to see an AC Season 3, just not on ABC (not that they'd bring it back on that network anyway). I feel like ABC did the show no justice in terms of its scheduling, marketing, etc.
