Yeah, because he didn't even consider her as a romantic option, which is pretty damn Not into her. If Jaune was into Pyrrha, he would've shown it, he would've asked her out. That's what Jaune does when he likes a girl. He doesn't pine from a distance, he doesn't worry about her being out of his league, and he knows Pyrrha doesn't like been treated as unreachable, as more than just a normal girl. And there was easily enough time between the end of prom when Jaune was over Weiss, and Pyrrha getting drawn into the maiden drama which really killed the mood.

I have no doubt that if Pyrrha had actually made her feeling clear, or if some third party such as Nora had actively managed to push the two together, he would've been perfectly fine with it and it could've worked out. But Jaune on his own wasn't making it happen. The one who wanted it couldn't act on it, and the one who could act on it didn't want it.

I think that would be Yang and Blake. Pyrrha and Jaune were on good terms but Pyrrha was on it half because of interest and Jaune too focused into his own personal issues. True, he nailed some points about her but most of that is about what's obvious to everyone close to her. But praising her as some sort of cheerleader isn't the best way to express his admiration. Also he only thanks about cool things, hr know nothing about her flaws or worries. Not his fault but he shouldn't be surprised to get rejected if he tries to act as if he was a Prince Charming, a solution for Weiss's needs that he knows nothing about.

One of his closest friends harbored important feelings for him and problems that he never noticed even when she was helping him with his and got to know about that too late to do something about.

I'm counting on that experience to make Jaune more focused in knowing what the people he cares for goes through before making a move.

Nice bait. Pyrrha was interesting because she was sort of a sheep trying to be a lioness. And how she tried to live through others, her subtle snarky side also showed her trying to break the mold a bit at times.

Ruby is a ton of fun to watch and she's only seemed OP in one scene when she happened to unlock a secret power against a final boss. Outside of that she have a pretty balanced record of both being a badass and getting her ass kicked. I like how organic her character is.
