Actually the writing for the individual episodes has been great so far. Main reason its so slow is just because they have so much ground to cover in so little time. Hopefully with Maya and a larger budget they can start working towards 20-30 minute episodes

Or Weiss was really, really shut into her room like he mentioned at the beginning of the conversation. Really I think looking into it that much is overthinking it, especially when, if questioned they could explain it away in half a sentence.
