I think the best choice would be Buffy. She'd fit in this monster-filled world and has plenty of skills show in the TV show that could translate well into a game.

Spawn is surprisingly long-range since his main modes of attack are guns, his chains, or his cloak. The axe they tried to push in Soul Calibur never stuck well with him.

Hellboy looks cool, but he'd be slow. We already have Tremor, so Hellboy would be more of the same.

The T-800 was never much of a combat unit and has no skill in fighting opponents hand to hand with strength that can match his.

I suspect we'll get both Spawn and Hellboy but I doubt we'll get all four. It would be odd for a DC game to give so many spots on the roster to characters who aren't their own. It was fine for MKX where the positives of guest DLC sales outweighed any negatives from less MK characters but with this every guest spot means one less opportunity to introduce millions of casuals to slightly more obscure DC characters from potential future movies and shows.
