My problem with the new cast (appeareance-wise, at least) isn't even that they are "younger and sexier!" versions, it's that the costuming department did a terrible job. Like, what the hell where they thinking with Uhura's ponytail? And they couldn't find a way to make Spock's bowl cut actually fit Quinto, instead of looking like a bad wig.

I tried to watch TNG after watching TOS and DS9 but the first season was so unwatchable. I found a reading guide and skipped to season 3 and it was much better

It still didn't really grow on me as much as the other two did though
