As far as they were concerned, there were no defences hence why they went straight to the box. It doesn't help that the Separatist were very prepared and had the place well protected without the Republic knowing.

I am starting this post off by stating that AOTC ice my favorite prequel film.

The Clone battle at the finale is stylistic, not realistic.

It makes zero sense to just send a bunch of Clones at a bunch of droids. Neither side had any hope of their infantry causing any substantial loss to their enemies.

It looks cool as shit, but in now way makes any sense. Both sides have huge walking tanks and the Republic has air superiority.

The Confederacy is on the defensive for the entire battle. You would never deploy troops in any offensive maneuver at that scale when you're just trying to escape.

On that note, what was the Confederacy trying to gain in the battle? What was the Republic trying to gain? All that anyone on the Republic side stated as any goal was to capture Dooku, but no one even looks for him. Anakin and Obi-Wan just stumbled on him by chance.

The Confederacy was trying to retreat because they were caught completely off-guard. That's why the Republic didn't get slaughtered in that battle. You see dozens of Core ships taking off because they carried the leaders of the Confederacy and housed entire armies of Battle Droids freshly created. Long story short it was a reversal of the Battle of Hoth. Republic objectives were to stop the Core ships and take out their leadership and shut down the factories. The original objective was to rescue the Jedi trapped on Geonosis but the situation changed.

No, it doesn't make sense. Using tanks and giant droid walkers makes sense because they're going to make more damage for the opposing forces. Sending in infantry is just wasting supplies and lives.

If the CIS releases infantry and the Republic doesn't, they're just mowed down by gunships. The droids have no cover and the droid walkers clearly weren't doing shit against the gunships.

However there are a few little "facts" sprinkled in NOT from those things, which are quickly being outed as non-canon. Seems like they took some liberties trying to inflate some of the pages a bit, not realizing how quick Canon would be to contradict.

For example, the Shuttle Tyderium has some small trivia about how the Rebels obtained it. Who would have guessed that a year later, they actually make an original Canon story about that very thing?

It's goofy because it's very bland. They clumsily swing their swords instead of moving and positioning. They're training, not fighting. A real sword fight would have them all over the damn place trying to lunge, trying to riposte, trying to trick them or use their environment.

Oh, and the brief 3 seconds of them stopping the fight entirely, spinning their swords around themselves as if they were at a Rave and they were enjoying their glowsticks too much, and THEN resuming the fight.
