False. Characters cross over to the TV shows all the time. And vise versa. Coulson, Nick Fury, Agent Sitwell, Sif, Maria Hill. Are they major/game changing players? No. But that's life. Not everyone is a Barack Obama. Not everyone is Micheal Jordan.
