There's just too little info on WD for me to automatically assign our Pearl to WD based on their gem locations. The only other two Pearls we've seen have chest gems, coincidentally the same as their Diamonds.

I strongly believe that our Pearl hooking up with Rose was of her own volition, not just because she was assigned to Rose from the start. That would certainly make the romantic/loyal part of Pearl's relationship to Rose much stronger.

ik SU is far from hard-science, but the odds that they had enough inertia to break away from the moon are minimal as is, and the idea that they had enough speed to break away from the earth is ludicrous.

Plus, even if they were in free-drift Steven should've suffocated when he de-bubbled; there would've been one lung-full of air in his lungs, and he could've breathed it maybe 3-4 times before it it was full of CO2 and he died of CO2 poisoning. Now, they could be insinuating he doesn't have to breathe, but he's been choked and/or suffocated before, so that would be shit-writing to just change it on a whim. You could argue that because he's only half-human he doesn't need as much air, but his drift time (which should've been orbit time) was long enough to include a no-sound time skip, so there's no way he wouldn't have run out of air.
Even if he didn't de-bubble, the amount of time he spent talking to Eyeball would've used up a good chunk of what he had in the first bubble.

I don't normally care about that kind of stuff in shows like this, but it's glaring when the whole premise of the episode revolves around it.

Pearl is confirmed defective, so she probably didn't come out perfect enough for White Diamond. So WD ended up passing off her imperfect but still functional goods to Pink Diamond like a ill fitting sweater.

First off, they were shot out of an airlock on the moon, several hundred thousand miles from Earth. Escape velocity is retardedly low that far out. Okay so the explanation for these things is REALLY "they didn't care", but we can explain them using the consistent rules of this show anyway.

1: Steven Floats. It's not even been many episodes since he had trouble getting back to the ground ON EARTH. On the moon it would be that much easier to escape the gravity well unintentionally. Why did the rubies also float away? Well, gems don't have consistent mass, they adjust to the gravity of the current environment, so it's easy to imagine something could go awry, especially since they just defused seconds earlier.

2: The bubble seems to create oxygen, as seen when Steven and Connie were trapped under the sea in it for a long time and didn't run out.

The Diamonds rule in a Confederation like government. Each Diamond has a galaxy or chunk of a Galaxy to rule. Pink was created to rule a new sector with Earth as her capital.

while some gem colony worlds are kept mostly intact and the Gems just move in with some buildings. Capital worlds like Homeworld, are completely stripped for Gem production and building cities, warps, ships, etc.

When Pink was shattered, Blue was put in power over Earth to eliminate the rebellion. Though Blue was ineffective due to being too wrapped up in court life.

So Yellow takes over and starts the campaign of genocide and weird science. Shattering Gems and starting the cluster experiment. Then scorching the Earth with the "damage of the dimaonds" that should have corrupted all remaining gems. So Yellow could come back later and collect the Cluster weapon. Which she is probably going to use to conquer the other Diamonds.

Escape velocity is measured in km/s, which an airlock is probably going to generate like 1 or 2 km/s at most. It's the hammer that makes it feasible to that the could've broken form the moon, not the air pressure (which, if gems don't need to breathe why was there even air in it in the first place)?
But, back on point, even perpendicular to the moon's orbit you still need to break like 10s if not 100s of km/s to actually break away from the earth completely and not just fall into an extremely obtuse earth-bound orbit.

The episode would still work if they were in an obtuse orbit too; finding something as small as a person in fucking SPACE is an incredible feat, even within a confined perimeter, and especially one as broad as the moon's orbit.
