I can see the experience toughening her up over the years and by the WW2 era she'd be running the place, secretly being part of the resistance. Brothels were used extensively by the invading Nazis, so she'd be able to get a lot of intelligence to help the resistance fighters; but as everyone familiar with history knows, this would still end horrifically bad since prostitutes were burned at the stake after WW2 for the crime of sleeping with the Nazis.

I just bought volume 2 for stupid cheap on eBay. Next one available is $15, vol one I'll buy eventually but it's around $25.
