Grant Gustin wasn't cast because
A) Mixing the TV shows and movies would be fucking retarded
B) The Flash is a guaranteed cash cow and to not put a movie out about him would be insane
and
C)The TV shows have already burned through so many characters that could have been used in the movies and just done away with them like they're nothing or made them so TV villain that their use in a movie would be stupid because they'd get curbstomped in 5 seconds.
