What's sad about Ezra Miller's portrayal is that Snyder and WB are clearly attempting to make him seem awkward. They say they don't bend to match other media but it's so obviously false (like with Suicide Squad). I've read every single Barry Allen comic that I'm aware of, so I consider myself pretty well-versed in his character.

The only part of this scene that annoyed me was the 'I need friends' line, because Barry should already be friends with Hal before the JL forms. Also, Barry is awkward and nerdy but he still has friends at the precinct (Patty, Darryl & co) and friends outside the precinct like Ralph & Sue.

Barry was raised to be a polite midwestern boy by his mama, so the scolding he gives Bruce for breaking and entering & sitting in the dark like a creeper isn't out of character. They have a different dynamic now that they made Barry so young and not around the same age as Bruce, so you have to take that into account. I would've liked to see him more on the defensive maybe— with a guy he doesn't know having broke into his warehouse, but the fact that he's seemingly at ease about the situation can be attributed to him being sure of himself (if he doesn't think this guy can hurt him then he has no reason to appear nervous).
