Did you happen to see TCW season 5 finale or Rebels season 2 finale? It's pretty obvious Ahsoka had a small crush on Anakin in the beginning of TCW, which mellowed out as the series progressed. Even when it's made evident that she knows what's going on between Anakin and Padme, there's still a very deep love between them, platonic though it may be, which is very obvious by the time of the fight on Malachor.

This is one of the reasons why I felt the attack on Starkiller Base wasn't a fraction as exhilarating as the Death Star trench run was. Not only was the Starkiller Base attack shown side by side with a more interesting scene (Rey vs. Kylo Ren), but the character doing the run was not the main character and someone who was out of the movie for 70% of the runtime. When the Starkiller Base was destroyed it was a "whatever" moment whereas when the Death Star was destroyed it's a "leap to your feet and cheer" moment. The Death Star was way more engaging because it was the climax of the movie, was given uninterrupted focus, and featured the main character of the movie.

So according to Tarkin the Sith were created in the Hundred Year Darkness around 6,000 BBY. I guess that means the Sith were fucking up the galaxy for 5,000 years before they were finally forced into the Rule of Two. This makes Sheev look like an absolute fuck up since his Sith only led for 20 years.

I would love a tv show like Game of Thrones or something where it shows the whole 5,000 year conflict with the Sith. I could easily see this being the new era after the ST with tons of comics and games set around it. Just imagine seeing the Jedi over seasons get more and more 'evil' because they're so desperate that they end up killing even children in Sith controlled areas as a sort of 'lesser evil' sort of deal. Having their absolute rationality tested by not caring about innocents during the war because of the possibility that even more innocents will be harmed if they did nothing about the Sith. I'm already imagining the first season showing the lead up to the creation of the Sith with one of the main characters turning to the dark side and amassing an army on Morriband.

What's even funnier is that Poe wasn't originally meant to survive, let alone become a main character. He was going to help Finn escape and then die in the crash on Jakku. I'm not sure at what point the role got expanded, but it was probably before Oscar Isaac was cast. Either way they didn't do much rewriting apparently, since Poe turning up alive again is waved off, and he spends the rest of the movie just kind of being "pilot guy" because there wasn't anything specifically written for him.

I'd say Sheev fucked up plenty of times.

So I guess this means the Jedi were on Ahch-To probably until around 5900 BBY. This also makes me suspect that the Sith controlled Coruscant for a while. I suspect that the Sith only had control of certain parts of the galaxy which would still work given Sheev's 'first Galactic Empire!' comment. You could probably look at Morriban and Malachor's locations and figure out the likely Sith controlled areas during the ancient war. It would be pretty cool if the Sith actually completely controlled the galaxy at one point but they were already in civil war at that point so it wasn't technically one single Galactic Empire as not to contradict the Galactic Empire being the first of it's kind.

I'm not so sure. I've had the impression that those folks were only meant to test Vader, not to replace him. If in the event that one of them actually managed to kill Vader, they'd be quickly disposed of and he'd look for another proper apprentice.

That's to be expected though. If Sheev, and only Sheev had died, Vader would've been there to reign in all those who would get ambitious and establish himself as Emperor. But Vader died with him. The Empire was never meant to function without the Sith to rule it.

There's always dissidents to tyrannical regimes. But on the whole, Sidious had more going for him than against him. He had most of the galaxy locked down and in control. As a man, and a Dark Lord of the Sith, he accomplished far more than anyone has or ever will.

Like imagine if Dooku had actually killed Anakin on the Invisible Hand. Sidious really wanted Anakin to be the winner and never intended for Dooku to be a permanent apprentice, but at the same time if Anakin loses then that means he wasn't as strong as he thought and he'd then tell Dooku he's proven his strength and worthiness, blah blah blah. The moment Dooku leaves the room he's going to dig out his little black book and find another candidate.

Honestly, Star Wars is that I can trust to revisit certain things after getting cancelled. Unlike something like YJ or EMH who's creator's have no power or outright gave up, most of the people that worked on TCW haven't left Lucasfilm so when something ends it doesn't really end; such as Rex coming back in season 2 or their policy of keeping every piece of concept art so that it can be reused somewhere else (Fifth Brother).

Basically when Windu 'has Sheev on the ropes' in his office and Anakin comes in, anakin instead decides rather than side with Palpatine or the Jedi, to say "fuck all of this" and decides to run off with Padme. Palpatine, in complete shock that something went wrong with his plan just throws Windu out to try to get Anakin to his side again and fails, windu survives and is able to warn the Jedi, a lot more of them survive Order 66 when it's initiated, and the Rebel Alliance ends up starting out on much stronger feet but, in effect, means the Galactic Civil War is a bigger clusterfuck.

Flashforward about 14 years an Anakin is forced to confront the war he ran away from, join up with his old master, and get his family some place safe (since hiding on backwater planets didn't do shit) with the Rebel Alliance and getting Luke and Leia trained by the heavily bloodied but slowly reforming Jedi Order

They also run into a freshly fleeing Han and Chewie and Anakin becomes grumpy-dad and Han feels like the loli magnet because 14 year old leia is swooning.

Also, Luke trains under Ashoka and Leia ends up Windu's apprentice. You might guess how that will later turn out for Leia.

The Cavalry when the Skywalker family and Obi Wan need to get the hell off planet and are getting hounded by the Empire.

Later they serve as Luke's role models along with Obi Wan after Anakin goes Independence Day finale on the Death Star (which, in this scenario is basically an armored reactor, engines, the cannon, and some control rooms strapped on and ray shielding than anything like a proper space station.)
