The remembering is because Wally has a natural place in the timeline even though he wasn't there. For pre-Flashpoint Superman, I guess you can say new 52 Superman took his place already so there's nothing to remember in the same way.

But the Superman stuff is kind of unclear in the specific mechanics anyway. The popular theory is that Manhattan caused the rebirth of Kal-L as Superman in the new 52 because Kal-El wasn't available (since he was in Convergence and didn't go back with everyone else).

The simplest way I can maybe parse it is it seems her original Teen Titans origin, where she's just Wonder Woman's younger sister, is probably the right one. It seems NTT hasn't happened in this rewritten universe so everything stopped at the original Teen Titans run and that was Donna's origin back then.

Ignore the Finchian "She's a year old warrior made of clay" stuff because that's basically retconned by the fact that she has memories from years ago and is that same person. Maybe she got turned into clay/killed or something and the Finch story ritual thing was just bringing her back.

The big problem is that she originally didn't even have an origin. You know how Superboy was originally just Superman as a kid? Wonder Girl was literally just Wonder Woman as a kid, but hanging out with her baby self and adult self in imaginary stories.

When they made the original Teen Titans they threw Wonder Girl in there without any regard for how that was even possible, and then for decades they just kind of ignored it.

Eventually when they started actually caring about continuity, they at some point realized Wonder Girl's presence was never explained, so they made up an origin where she was a girl who was rescued by Wonder Woman from a fire that left her an orphan, so Wondie brought her back to Paradise Island and raised her as an Amazon.

Later, after Crisis on Infinite Earths retconned like 99% of Wonder Woman's history, Wondie was now too young to have rescued Donna as a child and her now be a teen, so the New Teen Titans writers were "Jesus what now, ok lets try this again" and made up this new origin about her being related to the actual Greek mythology Titans. And things just sort of spiraled out of control from there.

So in Finch's bullshit they did this whole thing with her being an evil magic clone or some goddamn retarded crap, and Titans Hunt semi-retconned it so that that was just her being reincarnated and she was killed before that. And now this comic will supposedly explain further and fix things.

But also Wonder Woman's history is likely being significantly fixed by Rucka as well, so that might play into it somewhat.

The timeline for Donna's origin never matched up , even pre-crisis. Most people just don't realize it because attention is almost never drawn to it, but Diana supposedly rescued Donna and brought her to Paradise Island when she was a baby/toddler, Diana was supposed to be in same age range as the rest of the Justice League (late 20s/early 30s at the time), and Donna was supposed to be the same age as the rest of the Teen Titans. So even if you stretched the timeline Donna was at least a few years older than she should have been in order to fit her origin into Diana's timeline.

It's not a huge issue in the grand scheme of things (especially compared to all the other problems in Donna's various origins) but it was a bit hypocritical on Marv Wolfman's part considering that he threw a hissy fit and put an embargo on Duela Dent because she had a similar issue with her origin.
