It would have been better to air them a week apart rather than treating them as the same quality as the big finales like Mirror/Ocean Gem and The Return/Jailbreak. The plot of each episode were not actually connected aside from Steven getting involved.

What's important is that they've finally set up Lapis to becoming part of their team for the rest of the season, as well as keeping Jasper and the Cluster off to the side to come back to later.

I know the angles and shots arent the best but its pretty blatantly obvious that Opal is far taller than Rainbow Quartz. The window/circle thing in the back is evidence of that. Rainbow Quartz probably hardly clears the temple door on her toes, Opal goes beyond that just that just by standing.

Hey, Pearl said something like "Channel the energy of universe" or something when teaching Steven to summon his weapon.
So, portal-type magic aka drawing power outside of universe? Channeling heat of nearby stars into "magic"? They all work on one primal energy pylon/network, like that ball on the moon?
Kinda makes sense, considering that they are meant to be artifical military race - they conquer worlds that spin around a star, so they channel power from stars - they just don't go in energyless zones.
When travelling they channel energy from ship's main accumulator, like the one that Garnet broke.
Naw, I'm throwing too much hypothesis. But some of these should be partilly true.
