Alternatively, it could be because Steven Universe is based on magical girl warrior tropes. It wouldn't be the first time a one-gendered species existed in fiction. It's not exactly illogical, either; we know Gems don't reproduce like humans, so why would they have sexes if they don't have sex?

Honestly, the alternative is weirder. Like Homestuck trolls, for example. Their reproduction process makes them binormative, but we don't know why they even have males and females in the first place, since it's irrelevant to reproduction. Or why females have breasts. The question has been joked about but never really answered.

If hussie offered to do the loed english dight in problem sleuth/ early homestuck mode where everything was dictated by commands and every induvidual acrion required commands would you do it? Realize that this could add months to the comics run time

A mix between a heir and a seer. Most of the seer stuff happens on their own head, and after this flash, they can guide other player's aspect powers. A mage of mind could open the pathways of the consequences of one's action in front of everyone and pintpoint at exactly one person action lead it all to shit.

And heir-like stuff with their aspect, because you know... Magic. Literally the dr strange of one aspect.

Ironically, Rose became boring after she gave up black magic, grimdark rose was an awesome moment in the comics. She was supposed to become more interesting after dying in the green sun, but she deliberately embraced the passiveness of her aspect.

And rainbown drinker Kanaya would be cooler if she had any other power with it instead of just glowing in the dark. More like a troll vampire.

Their relationship was just a detail, if they just keep wrecking shit together like before, everything would be fine.
