If this scene (and entire movie) was animated would it be okay?

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Or is there more reason for this to be disliked?

You could have posted the scene.

Is this becoming a new /tv/ meme? Anyway, I loved that scene for some reason, Hook looked like a fucking god on a flying ship, and I love flying ships.

Please take your cancer back to /tv/, before it spreads

I actually liked the scene but the movie was pure shit. 2003 peter pan was much better.

What fucking time period is this movie set in?
>>

I had to watch this scene over and over because of how abused it was. I can't fathom how everyone involved was like "yep, this is a good scene and 1,2,3 action!".

The worst offender is not even the song or the scene itself but him saying "IS THIS CAN-NA-DA?" Also this is barely /co/ related.

That was the strangest thing I've watched in a while.

So no animated would be just as dumb.

Why people complain about this scene? Besides canada what is wrong with it?
>>
>>78864328
But ultimately kinda forgettable since it stuck so close to the general perception of Peter Pan. It didn't stick out much.

Shoehorning in Nirvana's most famous song is weird, out of place, and feels like a writer, director, or producer somewhere in the mix thought it would be THE BEST IDEA because apparently they didn't work out their lack of artistic self-awareness in highschool or college like a normal human being.

I also really like Peter Pan (The animated version, Hook, and the 2003 live action version are all incredible) and I had a Nirvana phase and am still somewhat nostalgic for them. This was two things I like crashing together like two speeding locomotives leaving only twisted, flaming wreckage. It was awful.

Is this some meme I haven't heard about?
>>

No one expected a Nirvana song. It's not a complaint, it more of a fact that it's just so random and out of place.

World War II, the beginning makes that explicit. And they sing "Blitzkrieg Bop" later. The journey to Neverland leading up to this scene is supposed to be several kinds of impossible. It kind of earned a betrayal of time like this, but it still seems more like an idea they just thought was cool more than one that fits the story.

They're singing Nirvana when the film is set in the 40's
