>yfw alvin and the chipmunks beats fucking star wars
Someone fugged up. Star Wars is considered "family movie" territory, so its not like they can set up the chipmunks movie as an alternative.
Maybe they're trying to attract the home-school demographic that is to pure for demon space magic?
>"Mom! Dad! The New Star Wars is finally out! Come on! Let's go see it!"
>"No hunny! Star Wars is too violent! We're going to see Alvin and the Chipmunks and that's final!"
MURDERED PARENTS EVERYWHERE...
>normies that pretend to be nerds btfo
>jew jew abrams btfo
>wookieepedia autists btfo
I see no problem with this.
>>yfw alvin and the chipmunks beats fucking star wars
could be they want an easy excuse for the bomb when shareholders ask what the hell happened. its not unusual to do an obvious blunder to keep the rights when you know you won't be able to produce something that'll make its money back but want to keep the rights.
>mfw alvin and the chipmunks beats fucking star wars
>mfw Alvin and the Chipmunks beats fucking Star Wars
>Star Prince = Disney and me
>Racoon = Star Wars
It won't happen but the thought of it is hilarious.
So that's how it all started.
It's actually not a bad idea.
Some people might consider a PG-13 action flick like Star Wars too violent for their little kiddies.
It's the start of holiday breaks, kids are off from school and the only "acceptable" films for families with little little kids are Road Chip and Good Dinosaur (which might be out of theaters in a lot of places by the time the 18th gets here).
It's not gonna do as well as Star Wars, obviously, but it's happy to feast on its scraps.
I think their game plan consists of
>Family shows up at theater to see Star Wars
>Star Wars is sold out...for the rest of the day
>Family moans about how they got ready and came out for nothing
>They settle on Alvin and the Chipmunks
>Sit in a theater packed with other pissed off families that came out to see Star Wars but settles for this because they are here
>mfw I unironically like the songs in the 80s chipmunks films
Nobody can ever learn of my secret shame
>implying that's something to be ashamed about
Oh, shit. I never looked at it that way.
Personally I think Star Wars is for manchildren and this hype culture is breaking my balls badly.
But if that's what it takes to kill another soulless franchise and other ones of the same kind (like The Smurfs or any other Sony-tier movie), then so be it. May the force be with you, fellow manchildren.
Go slaughter those chipmunks.
Because they needed to give people a reason to sit through this shitty movie.
>the chipmunk movies are so bad that even the actors talked shit about them
> watched the third one yesterday after seeing OP's pic on another site
>it was pretty aight I ain't gonna lie
what do you mean? chipmunks will carve out a sizeable chunk of retards and children. studios aren't so dumb as to put an investment out there unless they actually are going to make money on it.
Reminder that Fox willingly moved Alvin 4 from the 23rd to the 18th to try and get the kids going on vacation early.
even bizzaro world disagrees with you
How do you feel about bombs, Boco?
I mean of the literal sense, of course.
I imagine you have neutral feeling at best.
Am I right about this assumption?
This is the modus operandi for shit films like these.
Likely, the forecasters already saw this shit movie was going to do shittily and decided grabbing onto Star War's coattails would make it do better than if it died a natural death.
That's a really roundabout way of trying to ask about someone's opinion on Paz.
god damn you owe me knew sides for that pic
This, why would anyone be stupid enough to judge the entire franchise on the prequel trilogy? Regardless on what your opinion on either of the two trilogies are, most will agree that the two are completely different animals.
That too. I'm a bit more apologetic towards the prequel trilogy than most people, but like I said not only are the two completely different, but like you said most (as well as I) agree that the OT is undeniably better.
I don't know which one I want gone since they're both ranked high on my evils list.
Is there another option where both are dead?
It's still going up against Star Wars, even if the new one is PG-13, that still doesn't change the fact that it's Star Wars, probably the biggest franchise ever and usually a franchise that's hyped to all hell to the point where theaters are flooded.
And then half life 3 is coming out in a month.
Like fucking hell after the last shitty chipmunks movie. No one sees that shit.
>yfw HITB does Alvin for the 100th Episode
