Pretty hype until the last few scenes.Trinity money shot felt rushed, they didn't even try to hide the green screen. Doomsday and WW were so unnecessary. The whole thing felt rushed together.
Snyder trailers are usually amazing, this was half Snyder half executive input. They probably saw people's reaction to Civil War and thought shoving in Doomsday and WW would build more hype. The movie was already more hype than CW, but this trailer really lowered my hype levels.

I needed that. I wanted more honestly, but was happy with what I got. That was this trailer's Cap+Bucky vs Iron Man. Everything up until now had been Batman fighting Superman without any sign of how they would be towards one another after the fighting stopped. We got that, as well as the hero shot of the three of them standing together to stop the bad guy. It was the antidote to all of the bile and frustration and cynicism I've felt towards BvS since we started getting info about it. I feel like such an enormous weight has been lifted, and I can finally feel optimistic about it.

I think the main problem is that this movie is shaping up to be more predictable. Doomsday was said to be the boss monster of the sequel almost immediately after Man of Steel came out. I didn't even watch the trailer until just now and I still predicted half the things they'd do in it with reasonable accuracy.

Having said that though? I like this trailer for showing off the entire movie. Because while it sucks, it's better than getting another bait and switch trailer like we had for Man of Steel. This seems like it'll be much more reflective of the final product and that's to be commended.

If Steve Jobs and Zuckerberg were, you know Lex Luthor can and will be. Steve didn't insult Apple customers though even though he almost certainly saw himself as superior to them, and Lex would know not to do this as well, because let us not forget that he is also a businessman. Two things.
Lex's digging is what originally freed Doomsday in DoS, so in that regard Lex is tied to Doomsday's origin.
As someone not too big on Superman killing Zod, even though this doesn't bring him back to life, it does remove him from being dead. While Doomsday has only ever been stopped by being killed in stories of significance, Lex fuckery being part of the equation makes it a much more tolerable pill to swallow for me.

It's rather a trailer to get the general public up to speed, show some more action, and ramp up the hype to maximum.

It works because "Casuals" will have no idea who Doomsday is. Also, because he doesn't YET (emphasis on YET) have his spike protrusions - people definitely won't know who he is.

People may argue that it's showing to much - but these trailers are designed for Casuals, not hardcore fans and comic connoisseurs who will dissect every little notable thing with screencaps the MOMENT it releases.

Yeah Jason is dead, but I expect him for the next Batman solo. There's no reason to introduce him years before there's even a movie to feature him in, since we still have the JL movies before Batman.

We'll most likely get Victor (Cyborg) and Aquaman cameos. Maybe Flash, but I'm not sure on that one.
I still hope to Superman that we'll get a Dick Grayson reveal as either Nightwing or Agent 37 in either this or Suicide Squad.

I get a grappling hook, but ever since just after those early comics, Batman has taken a very anti-gun stance. He didn't want to sensationalise the tools which destroyed his life.

Doomsday's only notable feat is killing Superman.
He is an unstopapble killing machine - but besides that he doesn't have much depth as a villain.

Darkseid is far more powerful - but he's iconic because of his relationship with Superman and the rest of the JL as well as the New Gods.

Also, this isn't a Superman Movie, it's not going to have one of Superman's specific rogues (not that casuals will know most of them anyway).

Mongul, Parasite, hell even Metallo would be far better threats for a solo Superman movie because they add that extra element of personal animosity towards Superman.

Doomsday is a monster who has a genetic predisposition towards senseless murder, he's dangerous and threatening, but he's not "terrifying" or "unnerving" if that makes sense.

New Gods has to have either Darkseid or some more abstract enemy.

JLA can pick almost any Big Bad from DC on the other hand.

But it's probably going to be Darkseid, because the likeliness of a New Gods Movie is literally impossible.

Even if it happened, it'd get assaulted from all sides. Casuals probably wouldn't care because besides possibly Orion and Darkseid, they wouldn't know who the fuck those people are.

On the opposite spectrum, hardcore people (like /co/) would brutalize and dissect every little nitpick or genuine problem the movie could have. From Design aesthetics and Casting to cinematography and Musical Score.

New Gods is NOT happening, EVER. It's sad because all I want to see is Metron as he's my favorite New God.
(and possibly Takion as a cameo)
