>Far more hyped for BvS than Civil War
>See this trailer
>Hype gets completely reversed in favor of CW
Trailer was comic book as fuck. So awesome. Wonder what fully spiked Doomsday will look like.
gt mods. Maybe you'll get it on time for the 3rd trailer
They're putting up a new Sticky and pruning the shit show you've all started.
Anyway, as far as 'why does Batman have a gun'. Its obviously going to be anti-Kryptonian tech which will also work on Zodoomsday.
They need to get Hal or Barry or someone so they can get their quips quota and it doesn't seem as weird as it did. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are like the least quippy major superheroes.
its a sticky bomb and grenade launcher
> Ben is selling the shit out of his Bruce Wayne.
> Conversation between him and Clark is good.
> Love the alternate ground level shots of the destruction at the end of mos, hell raining down in broad day light, its astonishing!
> Diana looks more imposing alongside them than expected altho it might just be dew to her being upfront.
> Thanking god they went with Doomsday instead of Bizarro, don't love ether character, but I HATE Bizarro outside of Forever Evil and Smallville.
> Not what I would have done with Lex... but for what he is doing I think it works, contrasting how serious everyone else is.
> I would have made Doomsday more spikey from the get go, maybe not in the face, but at least have some serious spikes coming from the shoulders and jawline. Otherwise he looks exactly like the comics...
> Wanted Diana to speak...
> Camera lingers on the 3 posing too long, starts getting just a tad silly as a result.
> I know they have a movie to sell, but I absolutely would have saved Doomsday for the theaters.
> I kinda wish they hadn't gone with Doomsday, as now I am getting generic block buster territory with it, were as Man of Steel felt better and beyond such in scope to me personally.
I hope that what we've seen here are the only ones in the whole movie. One or two can help lighten a mood and ease tension, but we don't want them at Whedon-level.
I can see it being the case, actually. Execs probably cut this trailer together and hand-picked the most Marvel-like scenes to showcase, to get the "hurrr durrr grimdark DC" normies to feel less triggered.
I have a place for your opinions
>Lex is awful
>Batvoice is worse than Baleman
>WW looks retarded stronk wymin who don't need no man
>picking one of the worst characters in the history of comics as the villain
>the ham-fisted imagery is still a thing
>awful tryhard dialogue and humour
>doomsday looks like abomination /lotr cave troll, but worse
>batman with a gun
Because Batman has never used a gun that shoots something other than lethal ammo, right? Hell, Batman has never used a gun that shoots lethal ammo in an nonlethal manner, right?

Reposting my comment from the previous thread.
>Lex isn't being fedorable to your liking, quoting philosophies/ being dark & brooding.
But anon. I think he's going to be. He's just not going to be doing so in public where his behavior is perceived to develop a public image, he is clearly trying to shape. His playful sillyness at the party came off as completely different compared to
>That's just a three letter word for ideas to big for small minds
>If man won't kill god, then the devil will
The fedorable is coming. Anons (including yourself) are just taking this at face value, and assuming what you see is what you get. I really don't thing Eisenberg would be cumming all over himself about how good a character Lex is if it were just another version of Donner Lex, and if we're honest, the way Snyder abandonned the sacred cows of the Donnerverse, I really doubt that the one thing he'd salvage would be Donner Lex. If anything, Lex is just doing what Bruce does. Be the goofball in public to make any accusations that he is anything other than that preposterous to the public.
>Oh man i like the new batman, he seems pretty decent
>Oh god yeah i forgot jesse was lex
Fuck this fucking movie
>Clark is a famous journalist known for his opinions on Superman
>Absolutely no one makes the connection
Taking the glasses disguise a bit too far? Unlike in the comics Superman's face is likely very known to the public and they don't have the Superman robot excuse either.
Pretty hype until the last few scenes.Trinity money shot felt rushed, they didn't even try to hide the green screen. Doomsday and WW were so unnecessary. The whole thing felt rushed together.
Snyder trailers are usually amazing, this was half Snyder half executive input. They probably saw people's reaction to Civil War and thought shoving in Doomsday and WW would build more hype. The movie was already more hype than CW, but this trailer really lowered my hype levels.
>Marvel releases the best /co/ related trailer since MoS trailer
>one week later DC responds with the worst /co/ related trailer ever, even worse than f4ntastic
>Camera lingers on the 3 posing too long, starts getting just a tad silly as a result.
I needed that. I wanted more honestly, but was happy with what I got. That was this trailer's Cap+Bucky vs Iron Man. Everything up until now had been Batman fighting Superman without any sign of how they would be towards one another after the fighting stopped. We got that, as well as the hero shot of the three of them standing together to stop the bad guy. It was the antidote to all of the bile and frustration and cynicism I've felt towards BvS since we started getting info about it. I feel like such an enormous weight has been lifted, and I can finally feel optimistic about it.
>im here to help boys
>how do we know we can trust you?
His acting just feels like he's supposed to be the Joker instead of Lex. If they didn't reveal Eisenberg's character, I'd completely assume he's supposed to be the Joker based on his mannerisms especially in the party with Bruce and Clark.
Before DCUcks get mad, this and Doomsday are my only problems from the trailer. Everything else seems hype.
So add one or two lighter scenes in the trailer and suddenly BvS is a quipfest? You do realise that trailers are literally cherrypicked right? The bits in the movie will flow together and won't feel as jarring.
It's not like the movie has changed at all between these two trailers, it's just that they've decided to market a different version of that movie between the trailers. Hell you could edit a Man of Steel quipfest trailer just using the few comedy scenes in that movie.
Not as serious as Nolanbats and MoS, I assume? Probably what he meant.
I still much prefer the tone that the first trailer had. Felt serious without being up in it's own ass like Man of Steel or as grounded as the DK trilogy.
Clark must be an idiot in universe
How the fuck do you not know who Bruce Wayne is?
>His acting just feels like he's supposed to be the Joker instead of Lex.
That is a completely reasonable interpretation of his performance if I'm honest. Mine was more his taking stereotype socialite to 11, with a good part of fop thrown on top. His speaking with Holly Hunter and Lois came off very differently to me though, and that is why I think he is just wearing a public face to hide his true one, which we'll get much more of in the movie.
I don't think normies really know Doomsday all that much compared to Zod or Lex. Yeah Death of Superman was a big deal when it happened, but everyone got over it pretty fast.
>The movie was already more hype than CW
Eh, not really. It's about the same.
WB definitely tried to one-up Marvel with this, what with premiering it on Jimmy Kimmell one week after the CW trailer and packing it full of money shots, but it fell kinda short.
Then again, Marvel also had some marketing backlash with the "Meow" controversy.
Lex is good. Party Lex is funny and very obviously trying to manipulate Clark and Bruce, probably already knows who they are. Lex in private with Lois is full condescending and evil. I'm glad they are hiding bald lex/power armor lex tho. Also it's pretty hard to take you seriously if you hate on Bizarro.
Hey autist by that logic the comics make no sense. Stop trying to put real world constraints on a fucking comic book movie.
Next you're gonna ask who made the Batsuit in universe.
I mean, everyone could predict that Bats and Supes would stop fighting to take care of bigger threat, but one thing is to predict something and the other is to show this in trailer. Watching "Batman vs Superman" fight will be pretty emotionless because of that, there will be no winner. I just don't get it why they showed this in trailer.
The comics have the excuses of super robots and Superman never getting his face exposed because he was constantly zipping about.
Cinematic Supes doesn't have these excuses. Clark's acting isn't even any different here, he's still an alpha pretty boi.
Has a sense of humor but also very clearly knows the heroes identities. Later is very creepy with Lois.
Will probably lose his hair and put on power armor when he finds out Batman and Doomsday couldn't do the job of fucking Supes.
I think the main problem is that this movie is shaping up to be more predictable. Doomsday was said to be the boss monster of the sequel almost immediately after Man of Steel came out. I didn't even watch the trailer until just now and I still predicted half the things they'd do in it with reasonable accuracy.
Having said that though? I like this trailer for showing off the entire movie. Because while it sucks, it's better than getting another bait and switch trailer like we had for Man of Steel. This seems like it'll be much more reflective of the final product and that's to be commended.
When? At the party or talking with the ladies? Because talking with the ladies, I'd agree, with a heavy dose of sociopath tossed in.
>That's just a three letter word for ideas to big for small minds
I don't think you have anything to worry about anon. Seems to me you're going to get arrogance. I think people are trying to compare party Eisenberg to Executive office DCAU Lex, when if they were going to compare him to anything it should be public figure Lex in the Cap Marvel v Superman episode, where he is posturing like he's just trying to help people and is putting on a good face while the cameras are all on.
I think you're on the money there, Lex either knows Clark's and/or identities or loathes them both enough to want to fuck with them. Perhaps we will see a transition from this persona to obsessive, condescending prick we all know and love. Seems to be leaning more towards the classic mad scientist Lex than the businessman.
>prep god just sitting there waiting to die
>Critics bitched to high hell for BvS presenting itself to be Dark & Moody
>Critics bitched some more when BvS presented levity and balance in it's latest trailer
Just come out with it, you're never going to be happy.
>literally bitching about Lex acting out in a fucking party trying break the tension between 2 faggots getting triggered someone said something mean about their man crushes.
Swear if that scene was written by someone from here, Lex would be some /r9k/ faggot being Dark & brooding while quoting philosophies at his own party. But then I guess I shouldn't expect much from people on /co/ that were probably never invited to parties.
I don't understand being autistic over Lex starting out as a wily ginger and evolving into a wasted and wounded skinhead with brain cancer. If you do then maybe you should take your fake ass back to Youtube?
>>literally bitching about Lex acting out in a fucking party trying break the tension between 2 faggots getting triggered someone said something mean about their man crushes.
Honestly when you word it like that it sounds way more like something classic Bruce Wayne should be doing. Acting foolish in order to distract people and keep shit from popping off, while the audience knows he's actually a genius and a bad-ass.
So now I have to wonder if they just swapped the names around.
Its one of two possible scenarios. Its supposed to be like 2 years later, Clark could already be like right up there that he'll have Pulitzer...and still ask how many Fs are in catastrophic.
Or Bruce is really that good.
Yeah, but it caused them Internet Trouble.
Bruce Wayne knows Daily Planet, that's it.
Clark doesn't even know who Bruce Wayne is. Also other journalists saying "you must be new here". If he was a famous journalist, even if he didn't know who Wayne was, that wouldn't have been their response.
>If man won't kill God. The devil will do it
That's honestly the only delivery I liked. Everything else, even your quote, is too Joker-esque. The lines themselves seem like something Lex would say, but the delivery is what throws me off. The party ones make me cringe too much. The "grip" quip feels like it could've used a retake. The one I quoted above gives me hope though.
This trailer just comes across awkwardly. The stand-alone scenes are fine, but it's painfully obvious where the executives mandated scenes to be cut together to look like something else, basically everything with them in costume past the halfway point. The end result is quite cheesy. I refuse to believe that they buckled that hard to pander to the "muh fun" crowd.
He grew up in Kansas, spend years travelling the world, and by the point he became a Journalist, Wayne was out of the public eye. It's also possible he knows the name, but simply doesn't know what he looks like.
>Seems to be leaning more towards the classic mad scientist Lex than the businessman.
Well, I can understand you thinking so, but let us not forget that from the get go he runs Lexcorp Inc, so he is clearly a businessman. His turning Zod's corpse into Doomsday though definitely earns him mad scientist points though.
>Perhaps we will see a transition from this persona to obsessive, condescending prick we all know and love.
While he may not be obsessive yet, I cannot stress how much his response to Lois's comment illustrated to me that he is already condescending. It just seems to me that he is smart enough to know that there are things you say in front of a crowd, and things you don't. He can be a condescending prick in the boardroom, or in R&D. If Steve Jobs and Zuckerberg were, you know Lex Luthor can and will be. Steve didn't insult Apple customers though even though he almost certainly saw himself as superior to them, and Lex would know not to do this as well, because let us not forget that he is also a businessman. If he is the face of Lexcorp, he needs to present himself in public as representative of his company, and that means he needs to be warm and friendly, and not a dick, which to me matches up with how he came off at the party.
That's what I always thought he did in TDK. with crashing his Lamborghini to save Gordon, & then we have Bruce making an entrance to a party by Helicopter over an event that wasn't even about him totting along with a Russian Ballerina whore and 2 other skanks, but yet here we are, bitching Lex does it.
The dissonance of anons in this thread is fucking maddening.
>It's okay when Bruce does it.
So that he's not taken seriously by the heroes until it's too late. Think about it. If they had any idea what he was up to, it never would've come to pass. This isn't going to be some Ozymandias-esque "I did it 30 minutes ago" situation.
Lex is currently not looking promising. However there is a small glimmer of hope that we see his decent into the Lex we know, possibly due to kryptonite cancer. But fuck we need better line delivery
Yeah what happens supposedly is Lex actually revives Zod ala Frankenstein, so hes still a little fucked up from the fight. He starts actually all Bizarro and speaking weird. He destroys the lab and flys off to find Superman, either thinking he's still in the fight or wants revenge. He then mutates in Oomsday.
>The "grip" quip feels like it could've used a retake.
I was too focused on what that meant to be concerned with the delivery. Bruce got under Clark's skin. So much so that Clark clearly wasn't careful while shaking Lex's hand. Even as a Supes before Bats fan, I liked that.
Getting Hype for this and Civil War
As for Doomsday, I'm pretty sure he's going to grow spike protrusions as the fight goes on.
Reactive Adaptation/Evolution is his entire shtick - and I'm amazed that /co/ of ALL people has apparently lost sight of that.
>Why not just make a good final act about stopping lex.
Because you need to be able to reuse Lex, which means you can't kill him. And you need a big action-y finale because all pretensions aside this is still a cape movie.
just 3 minutes trailer and they said they saw the whole movie. no one confirmed its Doom. This is a good trailer for me, I do not understand why people say the trailer show too much, I think they are comic fans , so they know all , it is ridiculous
Not very impressed at the design that they choose for Doomsday.
Could've added more spikes (specifically coming out of his jaw) and been more creative with the concept.
To me, he just looks like a fusion between Raph from the 2014 MB TMNT film and the troll from The Fellowship of the Ring.
I at least expect for Doomsday to evolve or shift his form as the film progresses.
>DC shitposters spend the entire year praising MoS as a misunderstood masterpiece and deriding MCU/Fox as empty spectacle or quipfests
>BvS is a spectacle-driven movie with quips
>They're already blaming executive meddling and going "m-maybe they'll fix it in editing"
Oh, I am laughing.
Movie looks pretty dope, tho.
Well that's how they marketed the movie and shit on marvel for the better part of 2 years before they bit the bullet and put jokes in because we need the casual audience to keep up
Kind of like how a week ago /co/ was beyond retarded for thinking they'd shove Doomsday into this movie at all.
At this point we should stop trying to act like the movie will be terrible or spectacular and just let it come out. Getting all this headcanon hype for or against going only makes it harder to change your mind later.
I don't know what you think an assault rifle is but that's not the case. And Batman with a gun isn't something new. Besides, its not like it's constantly being used and he's not going to do jack against Doomsday.
Did they really have to go with the Lex created DD route? couldnt they stick with DD being a dormant predator from krypton? probably something Zod intended to release on earth just in case he fails?
> I do not understand why people say the trailer show too much, I think they are comic fans , so they know all , it is ridiculous
This, most people aren't going to know who the trinity are fighting at the end of the trailer.
Much less the fact that Doomsday adapts to the situation at hand.
/co/ keeps forgetting that they're not the target audience for these things.
>I wouldn't pick a fight with this guy
>I thought she was with you
There are quips in this movie. Actual quips. Pic related is my reaction.
I liked MOS. I'll probably like BvS. I like Marvel Netflix, DC CW and Fox Xmen. Probably will continue to do so. Don't really enjoy MCU but I watch them anyway. Probably will steal CW online.
this is exactly like the ozymandias miscast in the watchmen movie.
trying to make him look much younger so he doesn't seem like a threat when the audience can see it coming a mile away.
it's just dumb and ruins the character for fans and newcomers.
It has about the same amount of quips as the Nolan Batman films, I don't know why people say DC movies don't have any.
>Maybe you should read the manual first
>What about the lamborghini sir?
DCEU Superman really isn't the all-powerful God everyone calls him. Remember how much trouble he had with the oil rig? He's strong but not Silver Age strong, and not lift-an-island-made-of-Kryptonite-strong.
He can be hurt, it just takes a lot more effort. That, plus he's holding back probably.
Faraci has been pretty on-point with his BvS scoops. Here's all of them, BTW.
>BATMAN V SUPERMAN opens with Batman's origin and fast forwards to Bruce Wayne coming to Metropolis during the Superman/Zod fight, but that's just setting the stage for that character. From there the script turns its attention to Superman heavily, and it examines the implications of Superman in the real world. The main action takes place a couple of years after the end of MAN OF STEEL, and Superman has been busy in the meantime, becoming the hero we know and love. Clark Kent and Lois Lane have moved their relationship forward to the point where they live together. Clark is still working at the Daily Planet, although it's unclear if he's loving his assignments - he's tasked with covering a Metropolis/Gotham football game when he would rather be writing about Batman.
>Very early in the film Lois is in the Middle East following a story when Superman shows up to help her out. This becomes something of an international incident as other nations view Superman as a tool of the United States. China, for instance, doesn't want him in their air space. It's an interesting look at how a being like Superman would be viewed on a global scale. Superman is no lackey of the government; if anything many of the world's governments distrust the guy. But it is Superman who goes to Gotham and starts the confrontation... at the behest of Lex Luthor. And unlike "The Dark Knight Returns", Superman comes out swinging, pulverizing the Batmobile with one punch. Why would Superman do Lex Luthor's bidding? What is Lex hoping to accomplish? That would be spoiling. But know that when the fight is over, Batman will be able to point to Superman and say, "He started it!"
>Aquaman is barely present, showing up only in a survey of metahumans by Lex Luthor and then again at the very ending, when Batman recruits him for the Justice League. Flash and Cyborg are also just small roles.
Why is /tv/ even here? Don't they have an entire board to shit up?
It's almost as bad as the /tv/ /pol/ invasion that came with Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.
Who even gives a shit where he comes from? Doomsday was never prided for his origin. It's the fact that he's a monstrous murder machine that people remember about him.
His origin means jack shit.
>Doomsday is in the movie, created by Lex Luthor while experimenting with General Zod's corpse, which is under military custody.
>When Superman confronts a big bad guy and unravels his plot, he tells the villain, "I won't snap your neck, I'm going to take you to prison," an on-the-nose response to criticisms of the first movie. Of course Superman later loses his cool and threatens to break the bad guy's back, so he hasn't quite internalized everything yet. As for being a protector of the people - when the Doomsday fight starts General Swanwick tells the military that Superman will move the battle away from populated areas because he's a hero, and that's what heroes do. Again, this is a direct response to complaints about the first film. It's also interesting to see that Swanwick, who was tracking Superman with drones at the end of MAN OF STEEL, is such a supporter in this film. It seems that most people - except Lex Luthor and a cautious Batman, who is prepping anti-Superman weapons - believe Superman is a hero.
>As for Batman, he's on the end of his run and perhaps on the end of his life, and has already laid one of his fiercest supporters to rest: Commissioner James Gordon is dead by the time BATMAN V SUPERMAN starts.
not that bad of a spoiler desu, I don't know anything about this (as in why the fuck should batman fight superman, he will lose so I don't really give a fuck about the movie either). But now I understand where this is going and I'm hyped for it. It's not rewarding for loyal fan I guess.
It's actually worse than Ozymandias.
Because no one knew who the fuck Ozymandias was except us comic book nerds.
Whereas Lex Luthor routinely makes it onto "Top 10 Super Villains" lists. No one is going into this thinking he's going to be some kind of innocent or harmless nice guy.
>If he was referring to the Daily Planet he would have said "you guys"
No. That sounds unprofessional. "You" can be, and often is used to denote an entire organization that one person belongs to. If he wanted to stress Clark, specifically, "you" would have been spoken with a different intonation, or he would have said "you, specifically".
In all honestly, it technically could go either way, but given the context, the smart assumption is that he is referring to the Daily Planet and not specifically Clark. Lern 2 English.
Request: darken the spines and de-red the eyes.
Oh yeah, well its classic lex. To the public he's this great benefactor on his way to becoming president. To the heroes and villains, everyone knows his true colors. The audience already knows Lex as a villain, thats why so many of these guys "can see it a mile away." Remember, comic readers aren't the main audience. its the normies.
I think it's interesting that in the first trailer it was the Wonder Bracer bash, but then in here it's Doomsday's laser hitting Wondie's shield.
Could it turn out to be a different thing entirely?
Well, the simple answer is that certain people posting on /co/ are just trying to get a rise/reaction out of other posters, and are able to do via hyperbole, misleading statements, straight-out falsehoods, or logical fallacies, with no risk to their reputations due to the anonymous nature of 4chan.
People are thinking they revealed Doomsday and Wonder Woman (As if people didnt know about WW already) this early because there's gonna be another surprise major player
Who could it be? Jason Todd robin is dead because this is the death in the family continuity right?
And joker is dead?
What if Red Hood is in the movie?
>Lex said his name like he knew him.
Wouldn't be surprised if Clark was one of the few journalists that suspects him of being less-than-perfect, and Luthor is probably acutely aware of anyone who may do anything to tarnish his public image.
Answers the question of what happened to Zod's corpse so they don't have to retread on that ever again, showcases what Lex is capable of for future films and gives the trinity a worthy first opponent that makes for a satisfying and climactic ending. I think it works in a lot of ways. Butt that's just me.
>mfw its all true
Batman is at the end of his career in this movie. Presumably most if not all of his rogues are dead/imprisoned. Also shoving in a bat rogue for the big surprise would be wildly out of nowhere since this is basically MoS 2.
Seems alright. Wondy still feels like the third wheel, though. I can easily see it going the way of Spider-Man 3 with how cluttered it might be.
As long as it ends with Worlds Finest though I think it will be decent.
>Did they really have to go with the Lex created DD route?
Lex's digging is what originally freed Doomsday in DoS, so in that regard Lex is tied to Doomsday's origin.
As someone not too big on Superman killing Zod, even though this doesn't bring him back to life, it does remove him from being dead. While Doomsday has only ever been stopped by being killed in stories of significance, Lex fuckery being part of the equation makes it a much more tolerable pill to swallow for me.
There are lots of "surprise" possibilities still. Trailer seems like it gave away a lot, but easily could not be the case..
people pls T_T stop bitching around , there is still to come in this movie . they didn`t showed aquamen, the flash, green lanter in the trailers.besides that what do you expect?batman and superman fight till one kill eachother?cuz there would be no JL if that happens xD
>Why is /tv/ even here? Don't they have an entire board to shit up?
they can't discuss capeshit on /tv/ as /tv/ has even a lower opinion on capshit, cartoons and comics in general, every thread is gonna get shit on to no end. Then again they come here to discuss capeshit but as they may like some series and movies but that doesn't mean, they aren't shitposters themself.
How else do you think baneposting found its way here?
This is gonna make millions based on the title but is there ANY chance WB pulls the plug after the 8% on Rotten Tomatoes and the overwhelming negative reactions? I get that they had to keep barreling forward after MoS and chose to focus on the good but there's gonna be no excuses for this one.
I really don't want to see the New Gods get raped by Snyder.
I like him so much better outside of costume.
Lex isn't really a detective, but hes a genius. if someone smart were to try to figure out Superman's identity:
He likely has a good amount of guilt, so he will stay around Metropolis and try to help rebuild.
He would therefore buy a house, register a car, normal people stuff. So look in the public records for people that showed up in the Gotham Metropolis area AFTER the fight.
Or tail Lois Lane, who seems to be very close to him. See this guy living with her, going on dates with her. Try to find public records, oh he just showed up in Metropolis. Tail him.
I really doubt it. The only thing they could throw in is Aquaman, as he's already cast and has his design.
It's rather a trailer to get the general public up to speed, show some more action, and ramp up the hype to maximum.
It works because "Casuals" will have no idea who Doomsday is. Also, because he doesn't YET (emphasis on YET) have his spike protrusions - people definitely won't know who he is.
People may argue that it's showing to much - but these trailers are designed for Casuals, not hardcore fans and comic connoisseurs who will dissect every little notable thing with screencaps the MOMENT it releases.
In other words the trailer is perfectly fine, we're just doing what we normally do - overthinking and reading too much into a movie that isn't even out yet.
My major gripe is that they blew their load with Doomsday too early.
He could have easily been Bizarro, or Metallo, or Parasite, or really any other big player that still had the whole "Lex created him" angle to it if they really wanted to go in that direction. Doomsday is supposed to be Superman's final boss, the one that finally manages to take him down. Him showing up in the second movie as a Lex pawn is kind of lame.
These are confirmed, right?
Also likely to happen in this movie.
Maybe a reference to it, but no way they'll show him use it now.
These are the only ones I'm iffy about. An allusion to Joker sure, but they'll save his actual first appearance in SS. And Flash I just don't see happening.
The dream sequence already has parademons so he's basically confirmed.
>Guys... I think we found our Justice League director!
- Soon to be unemployed WB exec
There's also technically a cowboy version of Batman if you are retarded enough to look. Does that mean it'd be fine to have him wear a sombrero the in the film? There's a modern and definitive version of the character, which is very anti-gun.
Some other stuff from Faraci.
>The script is good, but is also very cliched. There are no big surprises left once you figure out Doomsday's role is, and the fun is seeing in what other everything plays out.
>Superman's characterization hasn't changed from MoS. He's still a sullen man of few worlds who rescues people, but without that kind of warm approach comics' Superman has.
>JUSTICE LEAGUE is assembled by Batman in the end. Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg shown recruited. No Green Lantern.
He's basically just a normal dude, the kind that just wants to stay at home and play Fallout, but he's just 100 times better looking than us.
Cavill is literally an amazing person.
Yeah Jason is dead, but I expect him for the next Batman solo. There's no reason to introduce him years before there's even a movie to feature him in, since we still have the JL movies before Batman.
We'll most likely get Victor (Cyborg) and Aquaman cameos. Maybe Flash, but I'm not sure on that one.
I still hope to Supermanthat we'll get a Dick Grayson reveal as either Nightwing or Agent 37 in either this or Suicide Squad.
>Then you're gonna love me!
It's okay when Jack Nicholson does it!
Doomsday's only notable feat is killing Superman.
He is an unstopapble killing machine - but besides that he doesn't have much depth as a villain.
Darkseid is far more powerful - but he's iconic because of his relationship with Superman and the rest of the JL as well as the New Gods.
Also, this isn't a Superman Movie, it's not going to have one of Superman's specific rogues (not that casuals will know most of them anyway).
Mongul, Parasite, hell even Metallo would be far better threats for a solo Superman movie because they add that extra element of personal animosity towards Superman.
Doomsday is a monster who has a genetic predisposition towards senseless murder, he's dangerous and threatening, but he's not "terrifying" or "unnerving" if that makes sense.
AH i was just thinking this. So that super explosion or what if he drops a bomb or uses the suit or Metallo or whatever to capture Doomsday. During the fight, he fucks up the city a bit. Now hes just like Superman, but a mortal. Now they're on the same level.
Loved this line
>but without that kind of warm approach comics' Superman has
See this is whats missing. Superman should be saying shit like "Hey guys, how about a change of pace, lets go get milkshakes in metropolis, I know a place that does them so thick you have to eat them with a spoon!" to the rest of the cast and trying to get batman to lighten up and stuff.
Not all moody 24/7 because "muh earth dad muh tornado muh zod"
>No Green Lantern
Except Fantastic 4 got 10% out of blisteringly incompetence and failure on every fiber of the production, Mos and this are not incompetently made in almost any area, mos just did not take courses of action story wise and tone wise that a large portion of the audience wanted to see happen.
I'm inclined to agree. I'm fine with Lex. I know it's not much to go on, but he definitely gives me vibes of Netflix Kingpin, in that he carries himself in different ways in front of different people.
>"Hey guys, how about a change of pace, lets go get milkshakes in metropolis, I know a place that does them so thick you have to eat them with a spoon!"
This sounds more like Captain Marvel than superman.
>he's tasked with covering a Metropolis/Gotham football game when he would rather be writing about Batman
>doesn't know Gotham's main players
And this is why they don't let you write about Batman, Clark. At least get some background knowledge about the city first.
Yeah sorry about that.
New Gods has to have either Darkseid or some more abstract enemy.
JLA can pick almost any Big Bad from DC on the other hand.
But it's probably going to be Darkseid, because the likeliness of a New Gods Movie is literally impossible.
Even if it happened, it'd get assaulted from all sides. Casuals probably wouldn't care because besides possibly Orion and Darkseid, they wouldn't know who the fuck those people are.
On the opposite spectrum, hardcore people (like /co/) would brutalize and dissect every little nitpick or genuine problem the movie could have. From Design aesthetics and Casting to cinematography and Musical Score.
New Gods is NOT happening, EVER. It's sad because all I want to see is Metron as he's my favorite New God.
(and possibly Takion as a cameo)
Oh yeah I totally agree. Seeing Doomsday against Batman, what else could batman possible do to dent him? Use a weapon, that is usually in the form of a gun or hand-held cannon.
My dad used to be friends with Neal Adams, but moved away shortly before I was born. So he used to always talk about Neal and how cool he was, because he knows I like comics. And one day I get pissed off and go off that Neal Adams is shit for one reason. I open up Batman Odyssey and the pages with Batman using guns. He doesn't talk about Neal any more because he knew, even before I directly told him, that Batman doesn't use guns. And now he remembers that moment I showed him, because Batman just doesn't do that.
My only complaint is more spikes on doomsday. Though I don't want to see it in a trailer, I want bald lex flying around in green and purple power armor. I've heard Flash and Aquaman show up but I'd rather they stuck to part 2. Other than that I'm pretty hyped. Great times to be alive.
That makes Superman sound like an idiot. I do, however, agree that Superman needs to lighten the hell up. I love him in this movie, but by the time JL Part 2 is over, he better be a much happier person.
Also don''t trivialize Superman's problems, bruh. He's been alienated and bullied since he was a kid. These days, he goes around saving the world. Just think about some of the shit he sees daily. Of course he'll be a little mopey. Give him time.
Lies. Gal looks great.
>Batman with a gun
What is he going to do - fight Doomsday with batarangs?
>grim and brooding Superman
Should he be happy that they are getting they're asses kicked by mother fucking Doomsday who is also destroying the city
I think its wondie showing Bruce what will happen if he keeps going after Superman. Batman becomes a murdering terroist, Superman takes control, and they are both fighting eachother even as Darkseid takes control
>But it's probably going to be Darkseid, because the likeliness of a New Gods Movie is literally impossible.
I don't know man. Could have said the same about Suicide Squad years ago. And if WB does manage to court George Miller, that dude seems to know his shit, and New Gods would be right up his alley.
It may gather interest if DC did something, anything with them apart from cameos, but I digress.
And thats basically what he should end up looking like, if the rumors of him growing spines is true. Like that top Doomsday is fine FOR THE BEGINNING. But thats literally all we've gotten of Doomsday, we have no clue what he can do, other than be the grey hulk.
Thank you very much, it really doesn't suck. It was exactly what I wanted.
Well, looks like our setbro was right after all
This seems like my dad works at Nintendo type thing. Also Batman's first appearance he dual wields pistols. Sci fi guns don't bother me on Batman. Especially if he's fighting space gods. It's only weird if he's using them on Joker and Two Face and such.
>doomsday shows up
I am getting spiderman 3 venom vibes here.
It didn't take away that much. Snyder just made him more subtle about it since Moore's characterisation in the comic swung all over the place in the original comic going from "Ultra Humanitarian" to "Oh he was really a supervillian all along except his plan worked and he's celebrating the death of millions" while the film version was conflicted about his master plan and having to destroy what he cared about.
Subtle but more consistent. Only thing was Snyder sucked at getting it across.
>Implying DCAU isnt the greatest shit ever
I just like the idea of Superman being an alien that appreciates shit like milkshakes more than humans would because its new to him
However, Suicide Squad gets a push from having "iconic" characters like Joker and Harley as well as the new additions in casuals' eyes.
New Gods could have famous actors in it to boost the interest, but at the end of the day - the vast majority of people will have no idea who they are.
If they try to push different thematic concepts like the Fourth and Fifth World onto the audience, I think it'll leave a sour taste in their mouth.
I would love a New Gods movie - but I don't think it's worth the possible risk. To do good regardless of casual uninterest, it would have to be the most grandiose, action-packed, and cosmically phenomenal movie in the DCEU.
That's something i'm pretty sure they want to make The Justice Leauge movie be, not New Gods.
"Stay down, if i wanted it, you'd be dead already"
So true. Fuck your muhhh prep time
I don't want to see GL again until he gets his own movie or possibly in a brief cameo in Flash. I'd rather see Hal in the CW verse at this point and let John and Guy take over the movies.

Supes? Good. Batman? Good. Doomsday? Did not see coming, fucking sweet. Would have been a nice reveal during the movie because NOBODY had heard of this before now, but I guess they wanted the extra hype.
Wonder Woman and Lex are painfully bad. The fact that the rest looks SO GOOD makes them look even shittier.
My hype was killed by this trailer and cringe Lex. Batman gun obviously shoots something else than normal bullets, but it doesn't matter because this will be a huge disappointment either way.
i knew it.its always like that with snyder.the third trailer always show you what will be bad about the movie.i'll see it for shazam and supercav saving people
Cap was only a boyscout in the 40s and 50s kind of like Supes. The rest of their history they are pretty much their own men. Cap gets all jaded about Shield and USA but wears the flag anyway. Goes anti registration. Supes is a citizen of the world and ends up doing more space shit and renounces his US citizenship.
These people who think Cap and Supes have always been huge goody two shoes don't really know the characters very well.
Honestly I have mixed feelings about this. The Clark and Bruce interaction was great. Lex was a bit cringy but the last 30 seconds of the trailer was a let down. DC should have never tried Marvel's formula. It doesn't seem to work with them.
oh god.. i complained about the CGI in the previous trailer, but now its just atrocious! i am a 3D arts student, and i can spot what is good and bad CGI.. looks like something one of my top classmates could pull off in her spare time (not me, in not that good) i dont diss the MOVIE, but the trailer didnt work. it was really horribly made with fast snap cuts usually would be used in quirky teen comedy movies.. the comedy is a bit cringeworthy. and how wonderwoman turns up and batman and superman randomly stop fighting to ask who's team she is on in a very chill and relaxed tone.. okay, one dis about the movie. the confrontation between clark and Bruce makes it OBVIOUS TO THE BOTH OF THEM THAT THEY ARE BATMAN AND SUPERMAN! JEEZ!! if Bruce Wayne didnt get the hint by now that Clark is Superman, he clearly ISNT the worlds greatest detective. i both like and Hate Lex Luthor in this. i LOVE his character, but i dont see him as LEX. it feels more like a Joker's younger brother and a quirky school boy had sex together and nothing really happened because 2 men cant get pregnant with eachother, but its still there.. And is BATMAN HOLDING A GUN!? now im more convinced that he is secretly death stroke.. did i mention how horrible the CGI is?
>Age of Ultron = Great
> Opinion discarded.
It has 2 flaws, Being too humorous/quipy and Ultron not being menacing enough, everything else is solid.
I can ignore the humor that I don't like, and I like Spader's performance even if it wasn't ideal.
Is there any rumors on the runtime? I doubt it's under 2.5 hours
Not that staggering when you think about it. In the DC shows, practically everyone involved were huge fans of these characters. Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Dwayne McDuffie, Eric Radomski, Alan Burnett, Dan Riba etc etc. These guys knew their shit and had the experience and talent in their field to best capture that magic.
Compare to these films, usually it's just the writer and maybe the director who have read anything past the most recent run on the character they're doing that was gifted to them by the studio. Producers, exec producers, production designers, digital effects crew, etc, they know fuck all, they're just making a movie.
if the movie is a hit,it means shazam movie in 2019
This doesn't remind of of Marvel at all. The villains seem threatening and there are very serious undertones that criticize both heroes effects on the real world. In Marvel movies they're twice as many jokes, silly villains and the plot is very light. Though we all know the plot of this movie, it definitely seems more well thought out than the Disney flicks. No offense, I just don't think have 2 jokes in a trailer makes them have the same tone at all.
I always saw the Avengers as B-list superheroes. Mainly because the Justice League has a far stronger roster overall and a far larger roster. The vast majority of the Justice League were always well know.
I'm glad that the Avengers are getting more adoration thanks to the MCU, but it's still amazing to me that this happened.
What worries me is the possibility that DC might just rely on Superman Batman and Wonder Woman for too long. The GL Corps movie looks very promising though.
Also, when are we getting the DCEU - MCU crossover movie? Say what you will about Big Companies and their animosity towards each other but it could work.
Episode VII (despite looking like a rehash of A New Hope) iis literally going to overtake Avatar as the Highest Grossing film of all time.
IMAGINE what will happen if Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man are on the same screen. The three most popular heroes in the entire planet.
The true age of capeshit will begin then and there. Only through collaboration will the company wars finally end.
I'm not entirely sure how they have room for Wonder Woman in this movie.
I like Bruce Wayne, but he seemed to give off a "geez, this nerd" vibe when Luthor showed up and I feel they should have more mutual respect as business men.
Excep anon said he was going to see BvS for "shazam and super cavill saving people"
Why the fuck can't 90% of 4chan perform basic reading comprehension? It really fucking pisses me off, more than anything else.
Aside from all the production team and most of the actors, Shannon and Batfleck really read the comics. Snyder helped alot too, he told Batfleck what he wanted Batman to be like, and gave him some comics. Fleck calls up Kevin Smith, hey I'm batman. So Smith helped Batfleck figure out the character as well, because thats what Ben wanted.
Superman and Batman are spot on. Alfred is perfect. Lex has two sides, camp and than evil scientist which is perfect. Wondy has no lines so you have me there. But Trank has nothing to do with this movie. Terrio and Affleck have ensured that this movie will be cool. Also go fuck yourself.
>That looks like it took way too much time
About 6 minutes, I'm at work and bored...
>Where do you rank
Constantine (05) = high 3
Constantine (tv) = Haven't finished it yet, but I would say a low 4
Flash = never seen, looks like a moderate 3
Arrow = never seen, looks like a moderate 3
Supergirl = never seen looks like a 1
iZombie = never seen
The Walking Dead = never seen
Swamp Thing (82) = don't remember much but I would say a high 2
return of the sw = never seen.
why can't we have this Lex?
why Jesse Eisenberg?
>GET IT EVERY LINE HAS A DOUBLE MEANING RELATING TO CLARK BEING SUPES AND BRUCE BEING BATS
>THIS IS GOOD WRITING RIGHT?????
>IMAGINE what will happen if Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man are on the same screen. The three most popular heroes in the entire planet
Seeing both Batman and Spiderman interact on screen would be fucking awesome. I guarantee it'll make billions. Unfortunately, it'll never happen.
Yep canned, I still got around 5 episodes of it left to watch.
>Anyway, it would've been great bringing Keanu's Constantine back for a movie.
Agreed, he was not the comics Constantine, but he was damn good playing how he played it as its own thing.
Hyperbole. The two jokes in a trailer didn't make me puke. The problem with Marvel movies is each seem to have 15-20 jokes which I think is simply too much. Consider that most comic books that are considered great entries to the medium are not funny at all but take their subject matter quite seriously. Based on what we've seen of BvS I think it's leaning on being more serious.
>Wonder Woman saves Bruce and Clark
It just seems a little late and might feel like it comes too much out of nowhere.
Adding 1 hero per movie might be too slow and impractical though.
They both will.
The big question, to /co/, is which will make more and which will receive a bigger RT score.
Which I'm predicting will be BvS for the former and CW for the latter. Primed for shitposting.
>Marvel invented quips
Are Marveldrones really this delusional now?
Okay, to the people complaining that this spoiled the movie. It still hasn't answered any of the following questions that I still have for it. Plus it's obvious both Batman and Superman are going to team up, come on, it's called Dawn of Justice for a reason, and the main question is how they team up, so far, they have only shown them teaming up in the end, but the main question is why....Who finds out Luther was behind it, is one of them being controlled by him, or they realize that their is no point in fighting? Plus, I want to know how much ass kicking both men will do to each other, that's what people want to see and so far they haven't spoiled how it goes down (I'm not talking about the whole Superman and Zod going through Wayne Tower, i am referring to when they fight for the first time. If they had, then the movie is ruined. I'm still seeing this movie.
