/co/ Secret Santa thread #3

Reposting the first Christmas contest:

For those of you who weren't here the last couple of years, I did various Christmas contests and would gift someone who I arbitrarily chose as the winner. I intend to keep that tradition alive this year.

I decided to get started with a (relatively) big challenge: Write a Christmas story featuring /co/ characters. Maybe Lex Luthor decides he hates Santa because he challenges human superiority. Maybe the Flash has to sub in for Santa one night and deliver presents around the world (has that been done? That must have been done before). It doesn't have to be long, just something short and simple, but the more Christmas special-y the better. If you're a drawfag and want to draw it out instead, that's fine too.

Send your submissions to [email protected]. Or you can post them in the thread, but just make sure I see them. I'll give everyone a week to put something together, so don't feel rushed. At the end I'll share them with the thread and crown a winner. Make sure to include your wishlist with your submission.

Also maybe we should try to better pace the storytimes this thread. I don't know if there's a good way to do that.

Does it seem odd Amazon doesn't have Comixology gift cards/codes to sell?

Honestly, omnis are kind of crappy because they're unwieldy and I'm always worried about their spines, but damn the oversized pages are great and they look awesome on a shelf.

I have a set of Prismacolor pencils and I never use them because I just suck with them. Got them because a friend had them. I prefer cheap watercolor paints. As for unread omnis, that's just because I haven't gotten to them yet. I sometimes regret my unread pile these days. And other days I feel pride in it.

Yeah...I...I have that same situation right now. We were going to buy another bookshelf but, like I said in an earlier unrelated post they stopped carrying the color we already have two of.

We recently painted our entire living room and adjoining room, and I moved stuff around and found myself without a place for all my blu-rays and some bigger DVD boxes. They're currently all piled on top of those pull out boxes in my picture, and some loose comics / heavy metal mags on top of the long boxes, .... and weekly comics littering the living room right now until we buy some more sleeves/bags for them... yeah ok I might have a problem.

You'd be shocked how freeing it feels to just go 'click' and read any comic you own, and have space on shelves to show stuff 'off'' again rather than just have gobs of STUFF packed in.

One thing I like, if I see something neat, I can show it to someone almost instantly. Take an on screen snapshot of my phone and BAM. Instant screencap for people.

I used to read on a decent sized tablet with a nice high resolution screen, but unfortunately it died.

Luckily I have a high resolution phone, so if I read in bed without my glasses it actually looks quite nice.

Image is a screencap of a comic from my phone, just with black bars on top and bottom cropped out. Looks quite nice on the screen, even if it is a touch to small.

I'm no stranger to digital, my steam library is about 560 games. but I also own about 1000 physical games too. (in the case of some PC's games they may be overlapping numbers)
