>THAT PANTHER CHASE SCENE
i gotta say, i didn't have much hope in this being good until this trailer.
still think it's kind of dumb for natasha to side with tony when she's more steve's friend and has been through shit with him.
also i guess thor is just not going to be around at all?
>Iron Man getting his shit kicked in by Bucky and Cap
>dat shield tag-team
>this load of horseshit
DC is taking way more risks when it comes to TV shows, look at all the hype going around for Legends of Tomorrow.
That being said, there's no reason we can't like both DC and Marvel live-action shit. There's plenty to go around.
The trailer seems to portray Cap being in the wrong --- there's people saying "You can't have unlimited power and no supervision" and all he says in response is "Nah, I see it differently".
>You can't have unlimited power and no supervision" and all he says in response is "Nah, I see it differently".
well that was the side he was on in the comics. but even then that was because they tried to arrest him before it was even a law
>tfw a good 70% of the Marvel things mentioned in that pic turned out to be utter shit
That being said, still not really feeling the hype for Civil War yet, but the scene where Cap an Bucky BTFO of Tony is pretty fucking great.
Oh good, I always need more Salem reaction images.
And yeah, this is a dumb fucking argument. Let's just all sit back and agree that watching Tony get his shit pushed in is INCREDIBLY satisfying.
>like Marvel never intentionally fooled anybody with serious trailers before (i.e. Iron Man 3 and Avengers 2).
Anyway still though, this is looking good. My hype levels are building now naturally.
>"Eh, it's probably fake, not even a stick-"
>it's just a lover's quarrel with Tony mad because Cap chose Bucky instead of him.
Man of Steel's trailer was full of this type of scene as well.
They look really good in a trailer but far less so in the movie when they're strung along a shit plot with shit characterization.
This gentleman gets it
Although Tony is right in that trailer
Because while there's a lot of characters involved with it, the movie looks to be heavily focused on Cap's point of view as he tries to rescue Bucky and stay one step ahead of Ross and Tony at the same time.
>Bob "Choke the Chimp" Chipman
>Linkara, Andrew Dobson and ToddInTheFailedCarrer
I really should have added tv to netflix.
Sure, because a Human shark appearing and a series about Time travelling heroes fighting a immortal man is playing safe
Oh wow, and the thread's already gotten into /v/-tier DC vs Marvel arguments.
Tony has a point but he's going about completely the worst way of enforcing it.
Why is everyone comparing the two as if a person can only choose one or the other?
Where did this false sense of dichotomy come from?
People who just want to watch the world burn.
AND WE STILL HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN SPIDER-MAN YET
Black Panther outrunning Cap.
>I wish this was in colour
I get that complaint with Man of Steel for a fair amount of the movie, it was pretty washed out.
But Batman V Superman actually looks very colourful; it's just got a high contrast which means that shadows look REALLY dark.
What does he want the films to look like, pastel colours and bright backgrounds? Although I like a lot of the MCU films, they do this and thus the films don't pop at all visually, at least for me. The DC slate, thus far, is far more visually stunning. I can't think of anything in the MCU that looked as good as Man of Steel or BvS is shaping up to be.
Goddamnit. It looks so boring and shitty after BvS trailer. Seems like Civil war gonna be local lil fight on da streets, while BvS will be about superheroes beating each other faces across the the whole town, deciding their moral dilemmas and staff.
And /tv/, taking what was already bad on /v/ and making it worse.
the avengers were doing raids on hydra for months before aou started. they had plenty of time to be friends. You are acting like the only time they meet was twice in the past 3 yrs. hell who knows how many times these guys all just got together when shit wasnt going down
Why do Spiderman fags have to fucking ruin everything?
Also the Winter Soldier and Cap vs Iron Man seems to be the most hype scene on the movie... IDK, Black Panther seems cool but his suit... doesn't translate very well
As far as trailer go, that was about as cliche as you could get and it's also very obviously unfinished. What is there to be hyped about? The first Winter Soldier trailer was way better than this.
>mfw Tony was getting blown the fuck out near me
Oh, look. Another unfunny /tv/ meme forcer outside his containment bubble. Hi, unfunny /tv/ meme forcer outside his bubble! (this is the part where you passive aggressively say hi back to me with great enthusiasm!)
This is just an action movie turned sci-fi with people wearing costumes.
The entire trailer is just explosions explosions explosions and fight scenes with sound bites on them.
Did directors forget how to make trailers?
>trust us guys the logical next step in Captain America's fight against Hydra and secrecy is to have him fight Iron Man and 50 other Avengers as best buddies with the antagonist of the previous film
Trailer looked good, but as I expected I don't like the direction the story's moving in
types some asterisk actions next fag
Proof that it's the same clothes as Bucky.
>creates an AI that tries to murder everyone on Earth despite everyone(including Cap) telling you not to fucking do it
>B-but we need to know our limitations or we're the bad guys!
Fuck off, Tony.
Are you new to trailers?
Trailers often have the in-progress CGI.
Transformers 2 and Guardians both have incredibly different gaps of quality in their CGI from trailer VS final movie.
>That feel when I can't find those comparisons
I KNOW I SAVED THEM SOMEWHERE
>>creates an AI that tries to murder everyone on Earth despite everyone(including Cap) telling you not to fucking do it
>>B-but we need to know our limitations or we're the bad guys!
the first thing led to the second thing
Gotta hate something.
I'd still like to steal DCTV away from them. Especially since DCCU is shitting on them so hard, not realizing that it's the best thing the company has going right now.
That many memes in such a small post, truly the memelord
>SAVE ME TONY
Oh man, I totally forgot about that.
Those were great.
Cap's suit only exists because as a punchline in his firstmovie.
I see everyone in these threads fighting over which is going to be better and I just think both look like shit.
Heroes shouldn't fight heroes.
And at least when Kamen Rider does hero vs hero they have fun with it instead of trying to make boring crap.
Are you posting shit bait or are you really stupid enough not to detect when two fictional characters are friends?
Or are you neet enough not to know that you don't have to suck someone's dick to be their friends? Do you even banter with people?
BvS trailer is much better because of the monologue. But it also sucks because of the filter.
CW trailer is meh but I fucking love that tag team of WS and Cap beating the shit out of Tony!! And yeah no Spidey??
>"This shit is so one sided. Iron man wrecks Cap any day. No matter how good the super soldier serum is, he can't fight lasers and shit"
>"They gave Cap a teammate to level out the fight? This sucks. Iron man should be weak enough to be taken down by Cap alone."
What do people want?
Have you ever watched a real movie in your life? How can you honestly defend this shit.
>well this supposed friendship that is never touched upon in the 2 movies they've shared together happened in between movies. now care about what Tony is saying
That's shit writing bud.
RDJ forced this movie to become Civil War in the first place. The least they could do is demolish the franchise and have Tony get double teamed by Russo-American super soldier cock. This is pest control.
I think Thor v Iron Man fight in Avengers 1 turned out in Tony's favor because his armor "absorbed" the electricity, essentially overclocking his armor.
It was stupid, but let's not pretend the normies don't love Iron Man more than anything else.
Sometimes, people just wanna bitch.
Eh, I'm hating them for how much they're shitting on TV.
I'm giving them until Suicide Squad, fo sho. But confidence is low. Honestly, if they said they were making a Tudyk/Fillion Blue n Gold movie, I'd like everything else by proxy. That's all I want, the same -positive- enjoyment I get from watching Flash.
>Trusting MARVEL trailers
They made Iron Man 3 and A Weekend at Ultron look like they were going to be mature and with higher stakes but look what happened there? Not to mention all the self depricating shit in the Ant-Man trailer that never made it to the film
I'm not saying this movie will be bad but the finished product may be completely different to what we got here
>This film isn't adapting a comic
>Film about /co/ characters isnt /co/
This, but mods are retards and Hiro seems to have forgotten that this board exists.
>daddy hawk lookin spiffy and standing guard over his witchfuu (you can see him holding her hand and running from explosions in the airport)
>steve and bucky being bros
BEST FUCKING TEAM
>JJ last week
>News of Iron Fist coming
>Luke Cage was spot on
>JJ was spot on
>Another good MCU villain to combat those "shit villains" argument
>Fox FF sequel dropped. Rights returning possibilities increased yet again.
>Ant-man comes out later this month
>Civil War trailer today
>AoS returns next week with based Ward fucking shit up
>DD S02 soon
I feel bad for MCU haters. I really don't understand why they hate on all these quality content. Instead of having weird internet rages over small things you could be enjoying continuous content from this franchise all year round.
This really bothers me. It sounds hipster as fuck, but IM had been my favorite for years before 2008, back when people shat on him for being "B Grade". And now he's the most popular and everyone shits on him for being "Normy garbage".
Fuck the MCU.
How is it not.
Its /co/ related exactly because it has /co/ characters you dumb shit.
I'm a massive DC fag but I've been enjoying a lot of the MCU. JJ was solid, I'm happy to hear Iron Fist is still in the works, Civil War looks fucking great, I'm hyped to watch Ant-Man again with my friends, so on.
I don't people who have to pick sides, or shit on one side or the other for genuinely enjoying something.
This is pretty sad, man. Your lack of social skills and knowledge is showing when you autistically insist Cap and Stark weren't friends.
I could admit them not being best friends, but they were friends. Thinking otherwise really just points to severe autism.
>that shitty team running shot is still in the film (though they shortened the hell out of it in the trailer so as not to draw attention to it)
>Black Panther's suit looks better than the set pics but still looks bad
>pretending Tony and Steve were friends
music choice was good, everything else bad
Remember when /co/ was small time and didn't have to deal with even half of this shit?
I made a bigger one. I don't know what I'm doing with these quality settings though so the higher resolution might not be useful. What do you all think?
BP's suit looks awful and Tony's characterization is so god damn inconsistent. Last movie he didn't want to apologize for creating a robot that nearly blew up the world, now he thinks everyone should be limited?
>looking forward to AoS
>that terrible sounding Doctor Strange film
pic related: you
>Iron Fist still in development
>implying this is a good thing
They still obviously don't know what the hell to do with it and the budget's going to be fuck all, it's going to be as shitty as JJ.
We're talking about characters who have been in 2 movies together and had not one single moment that implied they've had any sort of friendship. They've done nothing but get in each others faces from the start. Putting in 'So was I' is just RDJ forcing them to make Tony sympathetic so he doesn't look like a bad guy.
>best fucking team
Not likely. Everything from Age of Ultron should be forgotten.
When you fight the king of the dead things like spatial consistency go out the window.
Eh, it's good and bad. Ultron was mediocre as fuck(thank Christ Whedon is gone) and AoS is total garbage. JJ is good(not as good as DD which was godly). Ant-Man was good.
Marvel has a .500 record this year, and that's pretty decent.
Post Phase I, yes, with the exception of GoTG.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Marvel needs better directors, that's where DC is beating them. More Joe Johnstons and Kenneth Branaghs, fewer Alan Taylors and Peyton Reeds.
>You mean Avengers 1 and 2 where they were vitriolic friends?
>Spend all of Avengers two seconds away from fighting each other
>Avengers 2 has zero interaction beyond quipfest, Steve telling Tony that he's going too fucking far and Tony telling Steve to fuck off
Where was the friendship?
>They still obviously don't know what the hell to do with it
And you came to this assumption how again? El maybe? lol are you a retard. You have no sure fire to say that they don't know what they are doing simply because the havent felt like filling your autistic ass in.
>Origin stories are becoming out of style
>now Vs. cape films are in style
>soon enough the trend will become two-character team-ups, (ant-man and wasp, thor and hulk, etc.)
I like where this is headed
In AoU he seemed really defensive about it because he had to deal with it at that moment. After it's over, and especially after he caused an entire country to get blown up, he'd probably step back and rethink things.
So what did you want? Cap sucking Tony's dick? I insist, what do you autistic anon consider "friends". Do yo need a blatant in your face scene where the characters go "Hey, man. You are my friend"
I'm going to chalk it up to bad writing, like how IM3 had him destroy all his robot suits, then AoU had a whole army of them again.
It could be character development, but it seems jarring considering he specifically doubled down on Ultron by making Vision and not once even apologized.
TWS wasnt dark but it was kind of emotional i guess.
But this just seems like the same thinh but after how the AoU trailers started focusing on the jokes as time went on, im not hokding my breath on edits.
There's plenty of time in between those punches to blast himself backwards and get into the air for more maneuvering.
Unless that's an autonomous drone to distract Cap and Bucky, or there's some bullshit about the suit being low on power, this fight makes so little sense. Maybe it's just trailer editing though, so we're not seeing the second half of the fight where Tony goes for air superiority.
Peyton Reed did a fucking great job taking elements from Wright's script and welding them into the larger MCU. I would argue we need more directors like him, that can juggle the small-scale character-focus and large-scale world building equally well in a movie.
>If you look closely you can actually pinpoint the exact moment his heart breaks in two.
yfw Cap dies at the end of CW and we get Captain Bucky for the next few movies
>Just team-ups for the next 5 years.
You can tell he has a friendship with Falcon, Hawkeye and Black Widow - they've bonded. Hell, that line would've made sense coming from Natasha since she sides against him. It makes no sense coming from Tony and is only there in an attempt to make audiences not hate him fully.
>i on my couch have heard nothing about this show from the makers
>They are clearly clueless since they havent filled me in
Thank god, origin stories are the worst. I don't mind as much in TV, when you get 13-22 episodes in a first season to do it. But wasting the whole first movie on an origin is annoying by this point.
Anyone else have a spasm of tard rage when they remembered that Black Widow is in this movie? It just brings back memories of angry feminists and I can't even look at her anymore without hearing shitty dialogue and armchair activist caterwauling.
And also I just don't give a fuck about her as a character. She's unlikable, which isn't necessarily bad because not every character has to be likable, but she's totally uninteresting. She has nothing to offer the audience, and yet people still wonder why she doesn't have a movie.
I hate almost every MCU shiity movies, but this looks cool
Peyton Reed didn't do shit. Paul Rudd literally took over the project and rewrote the script with Adam McKay after Wright left. Peyton Reed was just baby sitting like all Marvel's directors do these days.
They're really determined to keep upping the ante of Cap's feats of strength huh?
No based on how much info we knew about the other Netflix shows at this point, which was a ton. But this is far off topic, you can continue to hold on to your baseless hope that it'll be good - and I'm sure you will think it is no matter what if you think this trailer is good.
she's actually a good character. she serves a purpose in most of the stories, albeit unimportant roles, and she is an important part of the original comic avengers.
If you can't enjoy something because some dumbasses are trying to use that thing to their advantage then you need to chill the fuck out man
But Tony has always been against trusting government organizations with this kind of stuff in the movies.
Black Panther being on the Pro-Reg side is stupid too because he of all people knows about wanting to keep a private life given how Wakanda is.
It's the comic all fucking over again.
We knew Jessica Jones and Luke Cage's basic cast and crew by this point. They didn't know what to do because Daredevil was more of a hit than they were expecting and had to scramble to get a second season ready and I am sure Jessica Jones is going to end up in the same boat with them scrambling to do a second season of that. They wanted a sixth month release schedule but they're going to have five hit shows that are all going to be in demand for season 2s and with three companies that want to make money involved to have not even planned for possible second seasons being a possible thing it's ridiculous.
Remember pre-Avenger movie discussion here?
Shit was amazing. Now all we get is 50% people complaining about the "2popular4me" MCU, 30% bringing up company wars, 10% claiming this is not /co/ related and 10% actually discussing shit.
I miss those days where everyone was hyped we were leaving the dark ages of comic book movies. It just keeps getting worse every film
Yeah, none of that shit means that Ant-Man was a good movie on its own. You're trying to make the case that all that matters is making the MCU grow rather than trying to make the best movies that you can.
>Cap becomes full Superman levels strong by the MCU's Phase 5
You dinguses keep ignoring the point that they don't enjoy each other's presence. Ever.
Stop trying to prove that you're a normalfag and actually name some scenes from Whedon's films where they act like friends.
Seeing the government take away the Avengers weapons looks like there's gonna be a break-in scene to get them back before the big fight. And I think we know just the guy.
>Superman moves at 100 mph on top of heat vision being possibly just below firing speed of a bullet
>Still can't hit a slow moving Batman
Except from Ironman 3 we have seen his general paranoia shift him towards a "Secure over Freedom" mindset, and given how badly he fucked up with Ultron, I can easily see movie Stark supporting registration/gov oversight
I remember the weekend Iron Man premiered and we were freaking out over Nick Fury. I used to be so excited for the MCU. Too bad most of the films turned out to be lackluster, formulaic, and bland.
Not if you want to discuss either movie. This place couldn't go 20 posts before it turned into consolewars. It'd be nice if we could discuss something around here instead of shitposting for dozens of threads.
That's not evidence that they don't know what to do ... they just haven't released a lot of info yet. I really don't see why that's a bad thing.
I've thoroughly enjoyed both Netflix shows so far, so I don't see a reason to think otherwise yet.
You know, the fighting looks ok but I gotta call BS here. Suddenly Iron Man can only fire his blasters with the speed of a slug? Suddenly those are the only weapon his suit is equipped with? Iron Man from the first movie would have some heat seaking micro missiles.....set to stun of course ; ]
But secure in and of himself, not in favor of the Government.
This is a universe where SHIELD was a government dummy organization for Hydra and that there are still spies in hiding that are unknown and I'm supposed to believe anyone thinks registrations is a good idea? Especially paranoid movie Tony?
It doesn't add up.
What movies should I see to prepare for this? I haven't seen a lot of the marvel movies and I know all the stories play off each other. Feel free to break it down into essential/optional categories.
Will Hawkeye be based in this movie?
that's all I want, a based Hawkeye.
also will his family die so he can get in with Scarlet Witch?
>tfw there a are still people who legitimately want a solo Black Widow film.
WHY? She's the least interesting character in these movies.
I'm praying they dont fuck up Carol at least.
trailer made me cum but...
>not a single frame of spidey
Is it actually confirmed that spider man will have an important role in this film, or will it just be a little teaser for the upcoming solo film?
Also now I'm in the mood for based Cap (and WS). Other than Brubaker's run, what should I read?
>But Tony has always been against trusting government organizations with this kind of stuff in the movies.
Dude, his refusal to cooperate in the beginning of IM2 was meant to show the lone wolf attitude he gradually loses over the course of the film.
Every single movie he's been in has about becoming less individualistic, while Cap had two movies devoted to creating bad images of authority.
>Black Panther being on the Pro-Reg side is stupid too because he of all people knows about wanting to keep a private life given how Wakanda is.
He of all people doesn't want a team of soldiers going around into any country they want and dispensing any justice they deem necessary.
