New to this board and looking for some advice on things to work on as I continue pushing myself towards better art.
>>
>>77324038
Nice! I actually like the "fine art" mixed in with a page of "scribblings of an obsessed man". It actually makes the stressed out portrait pop out even more.

>>77324053
>>77324070
These are good! The only thing I could think of for critique would maybe be some variation in the way you draw hair. Some of the silhouettes are similar to one another but I think if the hair shapes were different, it would break them up more. Like, a lot of the hair gives the head a round "O" shape, compare to the HAPPY ARTIST or BONER MAN designs whose hair give them very defined shapes.

The thing is the designs might look totally different from 3/4ths so maybe it doesn't matter, but if you want to do it in a style of seeing characters face front, then it's something to consider.

>>77324143
This is quite nice, the colors are lovely. I wouldn't have much advice for this piece, it's lovely.

A character I just kinda popped out the other night. I just really wanted a character with inky black skin. I want to refine the design a bit though. Something about it just isn't clicking for me.
>>
>>77324380
It's a neat design that I think has an unfortunate history. Jinx and Popo make the "pitch black skin" thing difficult to do tastefully.
>>
>>77324380
>>77324511
Yeah, sorry bud, but the little man in my heart is squinting pretty hard as to whether this is insensitive or just nonstandard character design.

Oh boy, I missed this thread.

So, I am unsure about the background on this one. I wanted to make the actual characters stick out of it and give some depth.

What you guys think? Any tip?
>>
>>77324604
I don't know why but they feel -really- close to that BG. Almost like they're sort of 'in it'.

It does add contrast some depth though, yes.
>>
>>77324688

Yes, pretty much this is how I felt.

I was thinking on maybe reducing the oppacity of the background, and make the shadows darker.
>>
>>77324380
>>77324511
I like the design. I thought about the "unfortunate history" afterwards too, but it didn't bother me. It has some Nintendo design elements to it and I like it. I personally feel like it's more important to actually design things the way you want and challenge context to change itself rather than succumbing to it and trying to play everything safe so you don't get yelled at.

I mean, if you don't want to draw attention to yourself, then you know what changes to make. But if you're a "I don't give a fuck" type of artist, then do what you want.

If you want to keep the design but you don't want to draw attention to yourself, you could do something as simple as adding a white muzzle Fleischer style just to make it "not really human", but still human.

As for what is not clicking, sometimes I find looking at other art similar to mine helps for shapes and stuff. Your art reminded me of this dude so maybe this will trigger some inspiration:
http://justindurden.deviantart.com/gallery/

>>77324604
I would lighten up the BG squares (Just maybe lower the opacity) and make their cast shadows further away from their bodies to add depth. The closer the shadow is to them, the closer they are to the wall. The further away, the more their shadow has to stretch across the floor before it hits the wall, means they're further.

Stating things that are obvious ofc, but sometimes reading obvious things makes people go, "Oh yeah, it does, huh?" and it'll stick in your brain much better.
>>
>>77324511
>>77324551
>>77324799
It helps a bit that I'm black myself. I was thinking of giving her horns sticking out of her hat or something cool like that.

Good luck man. Let us know if you make it.

Did some more work on this character. Wasn't quite sure how to reflect part of the race I'm pulling features from to reflect her heritage which includes the descriptor "You have glamored scales of sparkling mithril"

So I thought something opalescent maybe - but I wanted to retain her natural rose-red colors too. I'm trying out glitter - any suggestions from anyone else on how to fill the spirit of the above descriptor without compromising my present palette of colors?

Really nice piece. Quiet elegant, no superfluous panels. Funny subversion of a familiar structure/narrative with an incoherent goo monster which comes around at the end to still be pretty heartwarming, maybe because of how ir disrupts somthing so familiar.
Personally I would have liked it more if the panels were smaller and everything was on one page, but your art has a loose, free-form quality that might not take well to that level of compression.

Kay, I understand the anatomy bit, been working on that for a while, but what's this talk about a grittier style? I'm not the best at distinguishing that kind of thing, so sorry if I'm being a bit dumb. Does that mean more realistic? Darker? What do you want me to improve on here? These are nice, reminds me of Slender. Some of these designs would make for a good chase-you monster in an indie horror game. There's a lot of games with monsters chasing you on two legs, but it's dawning on me how creepy it would be if something crawled on you with tall four legs.

>>77326465
Very cute, very nice shapes, especially on the Dino.

>>77327280
These are good! The linework could use a tad work. The poses and anatomy is there, so it's all a matter of making your pencil strokes longer so it's not so fuzzy and scratchy. Here's just an example of holding your pencil longer and making faster, broader strokes:

Yes please take it as a bad sign. You're gonna suck for a long time and not know it unless someone tells you. And thats good to not cause unless no one does you'll never improve and end up like one of those shitty deviantart people. Its a raw deal I know but we all have to start somewhere. And that where is the very bottom.
At the bottom you'll need to start with getting a basic idea of human anatomy by drawing it over and over and over and over again. Then you do gestures. And you draw from life. You won't get it right at first but you will eventually. Don't give up.

And /co/. Stop being such a fucking hugbox.

God, I know! It feels like everytime I try and do long strokes I fuck up immediately. I guess I just gotta suck it up and practice huh?
>>
>>77328066
It takes years just for your hand to get moderately decent at linework. And sometimes the type of pen/pencil you're using can help greatly. Sometimes just using a different kind of pencil can feel "refreshing" to you and make some of your drawings look better until you've adjusted to that, then you need to try something new again and again. Type of paper is the same way.
>>
>>77327753

>>77328230
I was going for a squidward type thing, except for both the arms and legs. She's gotta have eight limbs, and I'm still trying to come up with a good way to incorporate that in to her arms.
>>
>>77327965
The problem is, telling someone who is starting out they suck, they suck, they suck is the wrong way to do it. It doesn't help at all to just throw a tutorial someone's way on how to draw the human anatomy and expect them to learn from that. It's like starting out a Russian class by writing out the alphabet and going "See? Just remember these then we can move on."

The best way to is give out much simpler drawings, drawings where you can see the thought process and the strokes. Basic shape tutorial and how to wrap forms around those shapes to make "skin". Another good way are linking to videos where you watch people draw basic characters, so you understand what they're thinking while they're doing it.

https://youtu.be/pNfsLynXHpc?t=2m51s

Is a good start to understanding gestures and a better guide rather a reference of the human skeleton, which can overwhelm someone with how detailed, refine, and rendered those drawings are.

You gotta work with someone's skill level, not just give them advanced things and expect them to get it.

Well, the very rough linework for these guys is done. I still gotta do a lot of stuff for them, like the abs (muscles are a bitch to draw), the feet, and obviously the wings on the rightmost one (would appreciate any tips regarding how to draw bird like, or angelic wings.), but as it is over 2 am now, I gotta stop.

These guys are supposed to look statuesque, regal, and sorta "divine" yet still heavily organic in their appearance. Akin to beautifully sculpted statues made out of living, breathing and moving flesh and bone. I am hoping that my designs for them bring forth that sort of feel. They are warriors of a very prideful noble house, that strives towards perfection and aesthetic beauty in their creations.

I would appreciate any input on these guys any of you might have.

>>
>>77348720
Good start, especially on Vicky's right foot. But as for her body, there should be a bit more shape to her forms. Her back and butt feel a bit too flat and her body looks a bit stretched out.also her legs are different lengths.
Also the line for her butt is a bit too hard for a curve that should be under her bikini bottom.

Good start but still needs quite a bit of work.

Decided to rework the wings on the rightmost fucker, but ran into a problem (that I hadn't even considered in the earlier version).

How do the feathers on the underside of the wings fold when the wing is in this sort of position?
Do the primary feathers (the long ones that sprout from the tip of the wing) go atop of the secondary ones (the ones growing form the mid wing) or the other way around?
Any advice?

Set a goal for yourself- what is it you want to do with this practice? You can attempts a technique that you saw, you could try to emulate a style that you like, you can do all sorts of things. seek out what interests you and work on it. Do that and do a lot of it.

>>
>>77368376

The hair looks a little flat, like a sheet of paper, but at the same time, a lot of the cartoony styles like this go for that look and it works pretty well. I think it looks pretty nice. The important thing is that it has a lively, animated look to it, which I think it does.

Also, she's a cute. Cute!

For the time being, nothing. I literally made her on a whim and am just fleshing her out more and more.
Ideally maybe I'd make a comic about her being a demon who's fearsome and powerful but also silent and somewhat innocent. She basically goes through life and follows the rules while still occasionally doing evil stuff.

You have really good flow on a lot of the body and hair but the one strand nearest her closest ear doesn't seem to follow that flow and it really sticks out to me. It's like it's starched downwards. Also I can't help but feel like her hair to be a bit bigger in the back. How you have it right now it is EXACTLY the size of her skull and I feel it should be bigger than that.

I like it, though the lines need to be thicker in shadow and thinner where there's highlights. The reason the thinner lines may look off, especially on the pants, is because the detail lines there are all about the same thickness.

Baldness design choice. I was trying to draw a punkish character, and planned on doin a mohawk but before I added it I decided I liked the bald look.
The reason I went with Ampersand as a name is because I was naming a bunch of characters in a similar style with just symbols instead of named.

Well i don't have much but guess i have this, something i started before i stopped wanting to work on it.
>>
>>77392438
Okay, so this isn't bad at all.

You've given the upper ribcage, especially around the collarbone, a great amount of volume. However, the shape that you used to denote the ribcage is too far up inside the torso. While it's the right size and looks fine at the top, the bottom will cause problems further on. The bottom curve of the ribs should fall below the breasts/pecs. If you aren't careful, this this will cause one of two problems later. Either the torso will seem too short, or the abdomen will look oddly stretched. As a rule of thumb, the top of the ribcage should line up with the center of the collar bones.

Before adding the arms, I'd recommend figuring out where the belly button and crotch are. These can be helpful for creating fitting proportions. The elbows should line up with the bellybutton, and the wrist should start at the bottom of the crotch. As it is right now, the arms are far too short.

You're off to an excellent start, and there's a few more things that you need to work on, but I have to go now. I want to see what you consider to be a finished drawing.
>>
>>77392438
Those tits suck. Most of the anatomy is a bit off, but those tits are just horrible.

Her arm also has an extra unit for some reason (i.e. two elbows).

You nailed it right on the head what my issue is. I do often see my bodies with long torsos, I think it's due to not knowing exactly how I want to block the crotch in when I'm doing the skeletal posing which i don't know if i should do 2 circles for the hip joints, a skirt, or a underwear style. If you come back and this thread is still up, any suggestions on how i can get a better at that?

Here is a half-assed red-line that might help.

Remember that breasts aren't taped on water balloons. They follow the curvature of the chest. You don't need to draw the full outline of it unless it is silhouetted against the background.

A neat trick to get a general idea for the placement of the breasts is to draw a line down the middle of the torso then make a right angle starting from the dip in the girl's collar bone (45% angle to either side of the line).

Also the breasts curvature of the breasts blends into the arm near the deltoid.
>>
>>77393545
Thanks, it does help just for showing me how the shoulder is supposed to look since that was the start of why I didn't want to work on it anymore since I couldn't get it right as well as how the breast connects to the arm at that angle. Ill have to remember to apply that trick when I get the chance to work on this, since that's another one of my weak points. thanks for actually showing and explaining why it was bad instead of just saying it was.
>>
>>77393908
I usually just call it shit first to see how the person reacts as a test. If they get all defensive then I know it is a waste of my time to actually try to help them.

Don't take that red line as the gospel though. There are some mistakes in it to, no doubt, considering I did it in like 45 seconds. Just consider it a basic idea.

Alright, so next is the face. The eyes, as you show, should fall on the midline of the face. However, you seem to have misjudged the middle, and placed it too low. The bottom of the nose should be halfway between the chin and the midline of the face. The mouth should be about one third of the distance between the bottom of the nose and the chin. These are the "correct" proportions on a realistic face.

The eyes here are too close together. There should be an eyes length between them. Because of this, the eyebrows are also too close together. The nose lacks detail, and can be the trickiest part of the face to draw. My recommendation here, and in general, is to examine that style of other artists, mixing and matching what you like until you find what suites you.

Keep in mind that these are the "correct" proportions. Once you understand these, you can play around with them to suite your style, but NOT before them.

Keep up the good work, and then post the good work.

I'm also thinking of giving her a more...inky design to go with her blackness. Like she's made from tar or ink or something just given solid form.

it's pretty nice. You got any idea for it?

every time someone tries to use anthro animals for anything it's high fantasy or very light sci-fi. I like how they look with guns on them instead. I also want to placate my /k/ autism
>>
>>77398956
I'm not very /k/, but I try to respect the subject and research whatever I'm drawing. Maybe all that shit about clips, magazines, and trigger discipline rubbed off my me.

I think it's harder to do anthros in modern times because it's more difficult to excuse their presence. High Fantasy = they're just another race. Sci-Fi = super intelligent future animals. Modern times, either everyone is an anthro or the creature is a special snowflake or mascot.

Not sure about the beaver. When I was drawing him I thought he might be a weary drill sergeant. Maybe he's depressed because he's yelling all day, but realizes that it's the only way to get through to these greenhorn knuckleheads who think military is all fun and games.

He's probably an alcoholic.

/co/ I haven't drawn in almost three weeks because for some reason I'm been very tired this entire time. Sleepy tired. I told myself that tomorrow it doesn't matter how tired I am I'm drawing. This is the only time I haven't drawn since I've started so I have to ask: have I lost all the skill I've acquired while I was drawing for those maybe six months? I still wasn't very good but I was much better than when I began. Will I just have to shake off some rust or will I be doing the process all over again? The fear of sucking again has made me put it off even more.

Sorry for my crude drawing. Manga Studio is acting weird with bad lag on my cintiq. I need a new fucking laptop already.

Never position the cinter verticle line with the tip of the nose.Think of that center line as the base of the skull and remember the nose pretrudes out. One way to help position the nose as well is to create a triangle from the outer or inner parts of the eye, bring them to the center, then draw a sphere on top of that point.

You are clearly making improvements already.

There really is no "not being ready" for something like this. You're probably tired of hearing this, but it's true that all it takes is practice. You'll continue to get better, because with practice, you'd have to actively try to not improve. All that matters is that you go for it.

Also, as for confidence, just go for it. Rather than give up and completely erase the drawing, fix what you see is the problem. If you know something is wrong but you don't know what it is, post it here. That's what this thread is for. The idea that once you post something, it's now beyond your control, is kind of nerve-wreaking. Don't think of it that way. Draw a drawing. Post it. By putting it in this thread, you are agreeing to criticism. There's no point in going to a critique thread if you are scared of critiques. Don't worry about that.

All we want to do is help you improve.

the first thing I notice is that you're not really following any of the guides you drew for your face.Like you'clearly using them to figure out the angle, which is good but you're not quite following the circle where you should be. Also the underside of her tongue is a bit weird to just leave pitch black. Either make it lighter to indicate it's the underside of the tongue or add teeth or something cuz it just looks off.

Alright, this is more cartoony, so so while proportions tend not to be as much of an issue, the are still some problems here.

Most notably, the eyes are uneven. The her right eye is smaller and higher up that it should be. Try sticking to the midline that you created- the left eye meets that line, so the left one should too. I'd also bring her right pupil a little more towards the center of her face. Her gaze will look more focused that way. Also, the upper arms are too short. The elbows should reach the bellybutton of the character. And this is more of a nitpick than anything else, but rather than drawing the curve of the head just to the left of the ear, the hair should slope down to meet the ear instead- by following the outside curve of the head, she looks like she's balding.

I also noticed that you are playing around with the weight of the line, which is good. Try to keep it consistent though. Aim to make the all the lines towards one side thicker, depending on where the light is coming from. You did it on the back , neck, and outside of the arms, but it should also be more apparent on the back of the head, edge of the ear, and in the hair.

I really like the shapes in the hair. Keep it up!

Having fired up my copy of EX4, there is no equivalent "Paper" layer. The easiest thing to do then would be to make a new layer underneath your pencil and ink layers, fill it with your chosen colour, and lock it.

For the Bucket/Fill tool, you'll probably want the following Tool Option settings:
Browse tab: Do not Browse Sketch, Text; Close Gap: 0.10mm
Fill tab: Expand/Reduce area: 0.10mm; Add Adjoining Pixels.

If everything is changing to one colour, then Add Adjoining Pixels is off. Play with those settings and see what they do, and adjust to what works for you.

Note that this is for EX4; I can't remember if it's the same in Debut4.

i've been drawing for 5 years and i am NOWHERE NEAR THAT FUCKING LEVEL

>>
>>77414039
Don't! As I said above, I got lucky. I found something I happen to be pretty good at, but I still have a really long way to go. I can do character art, but I suck dick at sequential art and story telling. I use a metric fuckton of reference because I am still very weak in a lot of areas. But don't give up! Seriously.

You may be in a rut, but you will move forward.
>>
>>77414073
i've been in a "rut" since i started, but always hopeful that i'd get better because i wanted to draw what i want and not have to commission shit or draw shit for others.

totally stuck on anatomy, i just don't seem to get it at all, even after drilling and shit.
>>
>>77414039
Don't give up, we all progress at different rates. I've been seriously drawing for about a couple of years now and while I'm still no-where near as good as I'd like to be I'm still aware that I have improved. Really though if you want to speed things up try and focus on what you're weakest at. Identify the problem you're having, look up the tutorials you need and just work on that each day.

Oh it's tough I know, however I'd say the basics are 1, draw from life, if you can find a class that's good but just have a go at drawing stuff around you. Don't worry if something comes off looking wrong, but in general try and draw what you *see* rather than what's in your mind. Look through comic books or photographs and turn them upside down, then try and copy them (not trace), it may not look perfect but it will help you avoid 'symbol drawing' as well as give you a go at working those hands of yours.

After you've gotten drawing from life down or at least better (you'll never be perfect, remember) you can start doing things like gesture drawing and construction, and then move on to drawing from your imagination.

The real trick is to know what you're doing wrong so you can learn from it. In that regard, you just got to keep drawing, keep making mistakes so you know what you're doing wrong, the great thing about these threads is that you'll have people to look over your work and point you in the right direction. You can do it.
>>
>>77415032
>thanks, i already study crazy. ie. like a hour a day before my hand or mojo cramples.
You should practice for a lot more than 1 hour a day and you shouldn't get cramps. Are you gripping your pencil in a weird way or drawing in bed or some other uncomfortable position?
>>
>>77416169

I really like the design of the Devourer. What I think really makes it unique compared to all the generic horror creature designs people make is the position of the eyes and nose. Most people would have either given it spider eyes or big ones further back against the head without a nose or something else really overdone. Giving it more biped-ish features on such a long and bizarre head sets it apart and hits the uncanny valley in a very interesting way. I'd like to see it from the front. Is this part of a comic or a larger set?
Also sorry if this sounds pretentious or unintelligible I'm kind of out of it right now.

I'm glad you like the head design. The whole concept of that creature started with that head idea. (this outdated pic has the earliest design of it I have).
These creatures are part of a setting that I have been (slowly) developing for a while now. That picture itself is just one of (right now) 4 pictures where I have tried to establish the appearances of the warriors of various factions of the setting.

Hopefully I'll be able to do something with it in time.

Fun With A Pencil is fine just remember that when you get into the actual Loomis Method section not to take everything he says as actual rules instead of suggestions and rules of thumb. Too many new artists take them as strict guidelines to follow to a point and their drawings always come out very stiff and since all their drawings look so similar and generic "too much Loomis" or something similar can be used as an insult. If this is how you're getting into drawing I'd recommend a different book or even credible YT videos for poses and skeleton drawings as his section is very brief and doesn't even cover most of the fundamentals. At least for now.

Hey it's me again. Currently I'm working on images to accompany some web pages I'm working on. Each one will have illustrations to accompany any large amount of text. Each illustration will display this caricature doing a suiting task. This is something I'm working on with some animations too so I'm keeping the model pretty simple. This one is more or less supposed to visually portray using nostalgia and escapism as a reprieve from day to day existence.

They are definitely hard. Honestly, I could never draw realistic ones, so I found artists who did cartoony hands that I liked (Francis Manapul for instance) and then copied the shit out of theirs. Advice I got from Ryan Stegman (Uncanny Inhumans, Superior Spiderman, Uncanny Avengers artist). He said to "steal" bits and pieces from other artists and then fit it to your own thing. I think Jack Kirby was the one to originally give that advice.

I have just finished "You can draw in 30 days" by Mark Kistler and enjoyed it, I learned about foreshortening, using the horizon, one point and two point perspective etc.

What book would you recommend for learning how to draw human or animal figure and what book is good for learning how to draw face? Various reccommendations about similar technique books are welcome.

Inspired by new Rayman games?
>>
So I noticed something funny about how I draw recently. When I have a character or object with no context, I find it difficult to draw with proper perspective. When I try to draw it in a specific scene or context, suddenly all of the perspectives line up in my head and on the page. It's bizzare, but I think it's helping.

>>

Instagram is mostly for photos i think. Reddit can be useful if you know the right places to post and have an actual gallery/your own website.

You can easily use tumblr (as a blog) and have a deviantart account (since its much better than tumblr to organize an actual gallery).
>>
>>77457022
The advantage to tumblr is the reblog system. You post something, all your followers see it, someone reblogs, all their followers see it and so forth. It's a lot easier for it to spread.

Here's a sketch I made just now. Left is the original sketch aka layer 1. Middle is the final sketch aka layer 2. Right is how the sketches look when they're on top of each others.

When I was drawing layer 1, I thought: this is good enough. However, the sketch looks rather crude and is lacking details. When I thought layer 1 is getting too crowded with lines so it'd become too messy, I created layer 2. I set layer 1 opacity to 10% and began drawing on layer 2. Because the first sketch acted as a base for my drawing, I could concentrate on adding details and making everything look more realistic and detailed. If something didn't look right, like the hair on her forehead, I could just erase the line. Layer 1 acting as my guide, I could try drawing the hair multiple times, every time knowing where it should approximitely be.

If you're not satisfied of what you've drawn, adding a new layer and redrawing everything while adding more details will most likely make a radical difference.

>>
>>77460573
Don't worry. Just keep doing that. You'll eventually get so good at construction it will be obvious what you have to do to flesh it out. Life drawing will also help. Use the random pose thing on quickposes. You'll think everything you do looks terrible, but just keep at it. Focus on where all the muscles are, how they connect to one another, and how they wrap around the skeleton. Choose pictures of really muscle-y or toned people and skip all the other ones; Better to see where everything is and it's easier to just tone down muscles when need be.

Why would you want to draw and not to improve? When you know more about art you can better achieve whatever it is you want to draw.
>>
>>77465981
Well, these threads are specifically for improving your art. This isn't the place for you to post.
>>
>>77466099
I guess I'm just scared that if I try too hard it'll take the fun out of it.

I never want to get to the point where I'm spending drawing shit like photo realistic pictures of apples or some shit. It's like yeah, that took a lot of skill, but you wasted your fucking time because everyone's seen a bowl of fucking apples before.

I've seen a lot of people act like art itself is some sort of sacred shit and acting like being an artist is the most noble shit you can be, that shit just puts me off.

The whole culture is just nasty. All the pressure people put on you to constantly strive to improve just makes me just want to go do something else. I just like doing shit at my own pace and only if it's fun.

>>77466147
OP is a fucking nugget. I swear to god I am going to come to these threads every day, post a bunch of shitty drawings and every fucking day it will be exactly the same quality. Fight me IRL you shitcunt.

>It's like yeah, that took a lot of skill, but you wasted your fucking time because everyone's seen a bowl of fucking apples before.
I want to be mad at you but it's evident you're just uninformed so I'll give you the benafit of the doubt.

If you're drawing apples to show off you've probably done something terribly wrong or you found a composition that shows some fucking spectacular apples. 99% of the time you're drawing apples so you can draw leaves, spheres and the textures overlapping them in perspective. You're drawing apples to understand how the light from the window creates shadow shapes and reflects off of the table back up into them.

You're drawing the apple so you can draw attack ships on fire off the shoulder of orion.

Fuck look at your response man. Your tone is the exact reason I don't like art man. So many artists and art teachers and shit have that exact level of soggy cuntery. It doesn't inspire me, it just drives me away.
>>

>soggy cuntery
that's reality dude, I don't like drawing apples but I like what it lets me do. You don't want to get good and we don't want you coming around us whining about it. There are plenty of would be artists that can learn to handle it and we'd rather help them out. Make a tumblr and look for a sub reddit for doodlers but you've really got no place here.

>Fuck look at your response man. Your tone is the exact reason I don't like art man. So many artists and art teachers and shit have that exact level of soggy cuntery. It doesn't inspire me, it just drives me away.
There is nothing wrong with his tone. He was explaining why people do studies of boring stuff like apples because you didn't understand.

If you want a cuntery I'll tell you right now that you should just fuck right off from these threads if you're going to post shit like this. No one cares that you that you think actively improving your art is a waste of time. That's why everyone is here.
